história do grupo musical. A partir destas premissas, a proposta do trabalho é problematizar
denominado The Book of Souls (2015).
Hardy's paradox and violation of a state-independent Bell inequality in time
Tests such as Bell's inequality and Hardy's paradox show that joint
probabilities and correlations between distant particles in quantum mechanics
are inconsistent with local realistic theories. Here we experimentally
demonstrate these concepts in the time domain, using a photonic entangling gate
to perform nondestructive measurements on a single photon at different times.
We show that Hardy's paradox is much stronger in time and demonstrate the
violation of a temporal Bell inequality independent of the quantum state,
including for fully mixed states.Comment: Published Version, 4 pages, 3 figures. New, more boring titl

Entanglement-free certification of entangling gates
Not all quantum protocols require entanglement to outperform their classical
alternatives. The nonclassical correlations that lead to this quantum advantage
are conjectured to be captured by quantum discord. Here we demonstrate that
discord can be explicitly used as a resource: certifying untrusted entangling
gates without generating entanglement at any stage. We implement our protocol
in the single-photon regime, and show its success in the presence of high
levels of noise and imperfect gate operations. Our technique offers a practical
method for benchmarking entangling gates in physical architectures in which
only highly-mixed states are available.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure
Uncovering the host galaxy of the -ray-emitting narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxy FBQS J1644+2619
The discovery of -ray emission from radio-loud narrow-line Seyfert 1
(NLSy1) galaxies has questioned the need for large black hole masses (> 10
M) to launch relativistic jets. We present near-infrared data of the
-ray-emitting NLSy1 FBQS J1644+2619 that were collected using the
camera CIRCE (Canarias InfraRed Camera Experiment) at the 10.4-m Gran
Telescopio Canarias to investigate the structural properties of its host galaxy
and to infer the black hole mass. The 2D surface brightness profile is modelled
by the combination of a nuclear and a bulge component with a S\'ersic profile
with index = 3.7, indicative of an elliptical galaxy. The structural
parameters of the host are consistent with the correlations of effective radius
and surface brightness against absolute magnitude measured for elliptical
galaxies. From the bulge luminosity, we estimated a black hole mass of
(2.10.2) 10 M, consistent with the values
characterizing radio-loud active galactic nuclei.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures, 1 table. Monthly Notices of the Royal

It is intended, in this article, to discuss images of Brazil presented in the game Street Fighter II and in the series Simpsons, respectively, through the characters analysis Blanka and Bart Simpson. With such a proposal, we still looked for to demystify the use of videogames and cartoons as a History source and to discuss problems of the globalization that interferes in the duel among the representations of nation versus the globalized world.
The processes of secularization which the country has undergone have made visible progress in the number of couples who separate and return to live in marital union. This situation does not reduce their willingness and desire to join a community of faith. Thus it causes a climate of pastoral need in order to assist these couples, who are in hard and sometimes very delicate and conflicting conditions. Therefore, every day we see the creation of pastorals that are ready to walk together and provide the Gospel service of solidarity with the couples on a second marriage. In this task, this paper attempts to point out some possibilities for therapeutic help, talking to couples therapy in an analytical way and pastoral counseling, referencing also the position of the Roman Catholic Church and its pastoral guidelines.
Silicon nitride interferometers for optical sensing with multi-micron dimensions
Increasing the size of the smallest features of Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) to multi-micron dimensions can be advantageous to avoid expensive and complex lithographic steps in the fabrication process. In applications where extremely reduced chip size is not a requirement, the design of devices with multi-micron dimensions is potential interesting to avoid the need for e-beam lithography. Another benefit is that making the dimensions larger reduces the effect of lithographic imperfections such as waveguide surface roughness. However, the benefits do not come without limitations. Coupling the light in and out of the circuit is more
challenging since diffraction gratings are not available when designing for such large dimensions. Circuit bends must have a larger radius of curvature and the existence of multimode propagation conditions can have detrimental impact in the performance of several devices, such as interferometers. In this study we perform simulations of the coupling between a lensed multimode optical fiber and a multi-micron a-SiN:H rib waveguide. Light coupling efficiency is analyzed as a function of distance variations using the FDTD method and compared with coupling to a strip waveguide. Moreover, we use numerical simulations to study the performance of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer sensitive to refractive index variations. Both the interferometer, splitters and combiners are designed with multi-micron dimensionsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
