The construction of marketing measures: the case of viewability

    Get PDF
This study seeks to develop a critical understanding of marketing measures. Marketing measures inform a variety of marketing practices and have been subject to ethical, discursive and epistemological critique. Informed by a range of theoretical work, this study sheds light on the construction of a key marketing measure in digital advertising: viewability. It shows how a range of competing interests can be mobilized and aligned; how an object of interest can be stabilized; and how standards for measurement can be reconciled. Across this account, we can see how issues of accuracy, ideology and ethics are bracketed off as participants agree on which things matter and which things count

Aging investigation on catalysts for hydrofluorocarbons synthesis

This study aims to verify whether the thermal effects occurring during catalyst oxidative regeneration may have to do with the irreversible catalyst deactivation industrially observed for CrOxFy -AlF3 based catalysts. Deactivation phenomena can be due to modifications occurring on both the active phase and the support; therefore, the aging treatment effects on the support (AlF3) and fresh and stabilized catalysts CrOxFy/AlF3 were compared. It was proved that, at temperatures higher than 600\ub0C, the support undergoes to loss of HF and sintering phenomena correlated with the irreversible evolution to the thermally stable -phase. The presence of Cr ions has an inhibiting effect on the support crystals growth, but strongly catalyses the surface area decrease at a relatively low temperature. In addition, the evolution of HF from chromium-containing catalysts starts at a very low temperature and is related to the formation of the crystalline Cr2O3 phase. Moreover, UV-Vis and TPR analysis demonstrated that, due to aging treatments, chromium ions tend to interact with the support, and lead to the formation of less reducible chromium species, which are probably responsible for the irreversible catalytic activity degradation observed in commercial processes

Haemorrhagic cystitis in haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT): a prospective observational study of incidence and management in HSCT centres within the GITMO network

Haemorrhagic cystitis (HC) is a recognised complication in patients undergoing allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). This study evaluates the incidence and severity of HC in patients undergoing allogeneic HSCT during hospitalisation and within the first 100 days following transplant, looking at the use of prophylaxis, management of HC, outcomes at 100 days post transplant, and to identify any correlations between development of HC and the different conditioning regimens for transplant or HC prevention methods used
