    Comparative Evaluation of Flexural Strength of Two Newer Composite Resin Materials: An in Vitro Study

    Objective: To evaluate in vitro the flexural strength of two newer composite resin materials. Material and Methods: Twenty-four samples were equally divided into two groups: G1 - Brilliant EverGlow and G2: Brilliant NG. The rectangular blocks of 25 mm in length, 2 mm in width and thickness were prepared from two composite materials. Blocks were created by applying composites to a customized split mold and formed between two parallel glass plates. Before light-curing, blocks were covered with Mylar strips and rinsed for 10 seconds in water. Subsequently, they were stored in distilled water for 24 hours at 37ÂşC and 100% humidity before testing. Each sample was placed within a suitable framework of aluminum. The length of gap between the support was 21 mm and the speed of crosshead at 1 mm/minute. The data were subjected to an independent t-test. The level of significance was set at p <0.05. Results: A less flexural strength was observed in G1 (77.43 Mpa) compared to G2 (118.70 Mpa) (p<0.001). Conclusion: Universal nanohybrid composite resin material was found to have greater flexural strength than universal submicron hybrid composite material

    Oral disintegrating tablets are emerging trend in Novel drug delivery system & received increasing demand & popularity due to ease of administration & better patient compliance .In recent years superdisintegrant have been employed to develop  effectual mouth dissolving tablet & to overcome limitation of conventional tablets .In present study attempt was made to compare to disintegrating  efficiency of natural superdisintegrats .Main aim of using oscimum basilicum as natural superdisintegrant was to achieve quick onset of action ,increases water uptake with short wetting time & decreasing disintegration time  by cost effective direct compression method. 3 preliminary batches were prepared & these are evaluated for precompression parameter like angle of repose, carr`s index & post compression parameters like wetting time, water absorption ratio,in vitro disintegration. Hardness, friability of all formulations found within limit. Best formulation F2 batch had shown good hardness, friability, disintegration time, swelling time. Present study revealed that mucilage obtained from oscimum basilicum was effective for their disintegrating property

    Automatic Feeder for Poultry Farm

    This project is to monitor the automatic feeder without the interruption of man power in the poultry sheds. In this project, we have PIC controller and GSM to monitor the system automatically by notifying the owner of poultry by sending a SMS which contains the information regarding the main feeder container. We have also used the ultrasonic sensors to measure the distance between the valve and grains in the feeder trays and the main tank, after measuring the distance it opens the outlet of feeder, if the grains are below the level and close the valve when it reaches to the level

    Comprehensive assessment of lumpy skin disease prevalence across Asia and African countries: A systematic review and meta-analysis

    Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) stands out as one of the economically significant ailments affecting both small-scale farmers and the broader livestock industry. To gauge its prevalence across Asia and Africa, this study employs a rigorous methodology combining systematic review, and meta-analysis, accounting for heterogeneity. Adhering to the guidelines set forth by the cochrane collaboration’s preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis, present initial search sifted through approximately 6,000 articles spanning from 1990 to 2022, using carefully crafted combinations of keywords; Boolean operators, asterisks, and quotation marks. After meticulous assessment for quality bias, employing inclusion and exclusion criteria, 52 publications were included in present study for analysis. The methodology involved in current study utilizing scientometric tools to determine LSD prevalence, with a median sample size of 293 across various studies, predominantly focusing on cattle and buffaloes. Meta-analysis outcomes were dissected based on parameters such as study period, sample size, tests employed, continents, and species, with samples stratified into two to three categories based on medians for heterogeneity assessment. Meta-analysis unveiled a pooled prevalence rate of 14% in Asia and Africa. The subgroup analysis found an 11% prevalence in Asia and Africa constituted 21%. Clinical observation showed a 19% prevalence followed by other tests and PCR with 12 and 13%, respectively. The results underscore the necessity for effective strategies to control and prevent LSD spread, mitigating its economic impact on the livestock industry. This collaborative and comprehensive assessment is crucial in combating the widespread dissemination of LSD and offers valuable insights for policymakers, veterinarians, and stakeholders in the livestock sector

    Vision is one of the very essential human senses and it plays a major role in human perception about surrounding environment. But for people with visual impairment their definition of vision is different. Visually impaired people are often unaware of dangers in front of them, even in familiar environment. This study proposes a real time guiding system for visually impaired people for solving their navigation problem and to travel without any difficulty. This system will help the visually impaired people by detecting the objects and giving necessary information about that object. This information may include what the object is, its location, its precision, distance from the visually impaired etc. All these information will be conveyed to the person through audio commands so that they can navigate freely anywhere anytime with no or minimal assistance. Object detection is done using You Only Look Once (YOLO) algorithm. As the process of capturing the video/images and sending it to the main module has to be carried at greater speed, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is used. This will help in enhancing the overall speed of the system and will help the visually Impaired to get the maximum necessary instructions as quickly as possible. The process starts from capturing the real time video, sending it for analysis and processing and get the calculated results. The results obtained from analysis are conveyed to user by means of hearing aid. As a result by this system the blind or the visually impaired people can visualize the surrounding environment and travel freely from source to destination on their own
