Bajonesse Fisher’s Behaviour in Utilizing Sustainable the Mangrove Forest in Bungku Selatan, Morowali District

This study aim to analyse (1) the behaviour of Bajonesse Fisher’s in making use of mangrove forest and (2) factors that influence the Bajonesse Fisher’s in utilizing the mangrove forest. This research used survey with individual analysis and conducted in Bungku Selatan District. The number of sample is 89 Bajonesse Fisher’s. The data is analysed by using descriptive statistic and correlational. The result of the study indicated that the behaviour of Bajonesse Fisher’s in utilizing of mangrove forest can be categorized fairly good as they put the sustainability aspect as priority as has been thought by their forefather for generations. Internal characteristics included ages and family size, contributed positive significantly correlated with to their behaviours of knowledge, attitudes, and actions. Socio-cultural environment included figures of adoption of costumary norms gived positive impact to their behaviour. Ecological condition of mangrove forest is moderate

Kinerja Penyuluh Pertanian Dalam Pelaksanaan Administrasi Penyuluhan Pertanian

Abstract The agricultural extension needs competencies related to intellectual skills (cognitive), skills related to psychology (affective), and physical movement skills (psychomotor). Farm extension workers must be able to respond quickly and effectively to existing farmer problems in the Industrial Age 4.0 so human resource preparedness is needed through collaboration between government, business, academics, community intellectuals, and agricultural extension agencies so that it is easy and there is upstream and downstream synergy. Of course, agricultural guidance in Palopo City is still much needed, as in other regions, even if they face the problem of narrow farming views, there will still be administrative problems that affect the success of their tasks in the field and office. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance of agricultural extension workers in the city of Palopo. This survey was conducted in January 2023 at all Agricultural Extension Centers (BPP) in Palopo City. All 42 information officers with civil servant status were the samples in this study. The primary data collection technique was conducted through a survey method using a structured questionnaire. Analysis of research data through descriptive analysis using the Smart Partial Least Square (PLS) application. The results of the study show that age and seniority have a positive, direct, and significant effect on agricultural extension worker performance, knowledge of extension allowances and extension administration has a positive, direct, and significant effect on agricultural extension worker performance, the availability of office facilities and facilities for field activities have a positive and direct influence, but not significant, on the performance of agricultural extension Keywords: Administration of agricultural extension and extension services.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja penyuluh pertanian kota palopo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama bulan Januari 2023 di seluruh Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian (BPP) Kota Palopo. Semua Penyuluh yang berjumlah 42 orang dan berstatus PNS menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur. Analisis data hasil penelitian menggunakan alisis deskriptif menggunakan aplikasi Smart Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menujukkan karakteristik prnyuluh umur dan lama tugas memiliki pengaruh positif dan lansung tapi tidak signifikan karekteristik penyuluh terhadap Kinerja penyuluh pertanian, tunjangan penyuluh dan administrasi penyuluhan memiliki pengaruh positif dan langsung tapi tidak signifikan Pengetahuan tentang administrasi penyuluhan terhadap kinerja penyuluh, fasilitas kantor dan fasilitas kegiatan lapangan memiliki pengaruh positif dan langsung tapi tidak signifikan Pengetahuan tentang administrasi penyuluhan terhadap kinerja penyulu

Kapasitas Anggota Kelompok Tani dan Regenerasi Petani

This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the capacity of farmer group members and farmer regeneration. Data collection is carried out by survey method and using questionnaires. The population is the heads of families who are members of farmer groups and farm youth who continue their parents' farming which amounts to 934 people. The sample amounted to 90 respondents divided by a sample of 45 respondents for members of farmer groups and 45 respondents for young farmers. Data analysis using Smart Partial Least Square (Smart PLS) Software. The results showed that age and experience of farming had a direct but not significant positive effect on the capacity of farmer group members. The role of extension workers as consultants and mentors has a direct and significant positive effect on the capacity of farmer group members. Age and farming experience negatively affect farmer regeneration. Farmer regeneration is positively influenced directly but insignificantly by the role of extension workers as influential consultants and mentors. Meanwhile, the capacity of group members has a direct and significant positive effect on farmer regeneration. The results showed that the capacity of farmer group members was influenced by the role of agricultural extension workers. Meanwhile, farmer regeneration is influenced by the capacity of farmer groups and the role of extension workers, although it does not have much influence. Menggunakan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi adalah kepala keluarga yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani dan pemuda tani yang melanjutkan usahatani milik orang tuanya yang berjumlah 934 orang. Sampel berjumlah 90 responden dibagi sampel 45 responden untuk anggota kelompok tani dan 45 responden untuk petani muda. Analisis data menggunakan Software Smart Partial Least Square (Smart PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan umur dan pengalaman usahatani berpengaruh positif yang langsung tapi tidak signifikan terhadap kapasitas anggota kelompok tani. Peran penyuluh sebagai kansultan dan pembimbing berpengaruh positif yang langsung dan signifikan terhadap kapasitas anggota kelompok tani. Umur dan pengalaman usahatani berpengaruh negatif terhadap regenerasi petani. Regenerasi petani dipengaruhi secara positif langsung tapi tidak signifikan oleh peran penyuluh sebagai kansultan dan pembimbing berpengaruh. Sedangkan kapasitas anggota kelompok berpengaruh positif yang langsung dan signifikan terhadap regenerasi petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas anggota kelompok tani dipengaruhi peran penyuluh pertanian. PERILAKU PETANI KAKAO DALAM PEMANFAATAN KLON UNGGUL DI DESA PONGO KABUPATEN LUWU UTARA

The aim of this study was to analyze the factors driving cocoa farmer behavior through the use of superior clones in Pongo Village, North Luwu Regency. The research method used is a survey method using a questionnaire. The number of samples is 70 respondents, which is done with a qualitative approach. Data analysis uses Smart Partial Least Square (Smart PLS) software. The results showed that length of farming, number of family members and income had a positive but indirect and significant effect on cocoa farmers' behavior when using superior clones in Pongo Village, North Luwu Regency. Media information, government policies, the types of superior clones used, and the existence of farmer groups have a positive but direct and significant impact on cocoa farmers' behavior when using superior clones in Pongo Village, North Luwu Regency

Pelatihan Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) Kakao pada Petani Binaan Koperasi Tani Masagena di Kabupaten Luwu Utara

Kabupaten Luwu Utara merupakan kabupaten penghasil kakao di Sulawesi Selatan. Akan tetapi, produksi kakao pada kabupaten ini mengalami penurunan. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan menerapkan Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) pada perkebunan kakao.  Tujuan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan terkait Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) sebagai upaya peningkatan kapasitas petani binaan Koperasi Tani Masagena. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan metode penyuluhan dan pendampingan. Metode penyuluhan ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif peserta sebagai sasaran yang dilibatkan dari awal sampai akhir kegiatan dalam program ini. Program dilaksanakan dengan empat kegiatan utama yaitu persiapan, penyusunan bahan, pelatihan dan pendampingan dan finalisasi. Kegiatan pengabdian pelatihan GAP kakao ini telah berhasil membuat tingginya pemahaman dan kapasitas petani binaan Koperasi Tani Masagena setelah diberikan materi. Implementasi GAP ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan produksi kakao di Luwu Utara
