Perception of sex appeal in print advertising by young female Anglo-Saxon and second generation Asian-Islamic British
The aim of this research, is to provide empirical data to either support or challenge the view that subculture has an impact on how sex appeal in advertising is perceived. It looks at young females of two specific British subcultural groups, Anglo-Saxon and Asian-Islamic British. It reveals that there are differences in the perception of sex appeal, since the Asian-Islamic British have a rather more negative attitude towards this particular appeal, while the Anglo-Saxon have a much more positive attitude towards it
Pseudo-unitary symmetry and the Gaussian pseudo-unitary ensemble of random matrices
Employing the currently discussed notion of pseudo-Hermiticity, we define a
pseudo-unitary group. Further, we develop a random matrix theory which is
invariant under such a group and call this ensemble of pseudo-Hermitian random
matrices as the pseudo-unitary ensemble. We obtain exact results for the
nearest-neighbour level spacing distribution for (2 X 2) PT-symmetric
Hamiltonian matrices which has a novel form, s log (1/s) near zero spacing.
This shows a level repulsion in marked distinction with an algebraic form in
the Wigner surmise. We believe that this paves way for a description of varied
phenomena in two-dimensional statistical mechanics, quantum chromodynamics, and

The business services environment are experiencing intense competition.Hence, higher education facing series of challenges in order to improve organizational performance, and an ability of competition.The same situation was happened to Iraq’s higher education.As an effort for strengthening the teaching, research and consultation activities to enhance the quality
performance, quality management practices (QMPs) is one of the important factors affecting the
organizational performance.Similarly, some emphasis was placed on organizational learning
(OL) as another tool to support organizational performance.In addition, the reference to the
organizational culture (OC) based on the results of the performance affected by environmental
surroundings for educational institutions.The combination of these three elements: QMP, OL
and OC finally affected the performance of higher education.Therefore, the aim of this paper is to
explain a preliminary about the role of these factors on the affecting of the performance of higher education institutions in Iraq.This paper proposed the measurement instrument for measuring
higher education performance, therefore the development and validation of the quantitative
instrument (questionnaire) towards measuring the performance also discussed.In addition, the
reliability of the constructs is also being explained
B-->pi and B-->K transitions in standard and quenched chiral perturbation theory
We study the effects of chiral logs on the heavy-->light pseudoscalar meson
transition form factors by using standard and quenched chiral perturbation
theory combined with the static heavy quark limit. The resulting expressions
are used to indicate the size of uncertainties due to the use of the quenched
approximation in the current lattice studies. They may also be used to assess
the size of systematic uncertainties induced by missing chiral log terms in
extrapolating toward the physical pion mass. We also provide the coefficient
multiplying the quenched chiral log, which may be useful if the quenched

Model Independent Analysis of the Forward-Backward Asymmetry for the Decay
The sensitivity of the zero position of the forward backward asymmetry
for the exclusive
decay is examined by using most general non-standard 4-fermion interactions.
Our analysis shows that the zero position of the forward backward asymmetry is
very sensitive to the sign and size of the Wilson coefficients corresponding to
the new vector type interactions, which are the counter partners of the usual
Standard Model operators but have opposite chirality. In addition to these, the
other significant effect comes from the interference of Scalar-Pseudoscalar and
Tensor type operators. These results will not only enhance our theoretical
understanding about the axial vector mesons but will also serve as a good tool

Supporting international networks through platforms for standardised data collection—the European Registries for Rare Endocrine Conditions (EuRRECa) model
Rare endocrine pathology is manifested by either a deficiency or excess of one or more hormones. These conditions can be life-threatening and are almost universally associated with long-term morbidity. Understanding the aetiology of these conditions requires multicentre collaboration and expertise, most often across national boundaries, with the capacity for long-term follow-up. The EuRRECa (European Registries for Rare Endocrine Conditions) project (www.eurreca.net), funded by the EU Health Programme, aims to support the needs of the wider endocrine community by maximising the opportunity for collaboration between patients, health care professionals and researchers across Europe and beyond. At the heart of the EuRRECa collaboration is a Core Endocrine Registry that collects a core dataset for all rare endocrine conditions that are covered within Endo-ERN. The registry incorporates patient reported markers of clinical outcome and will signpost participants to high-quality, disease-specific registries. Furthermore, an electronic surveillance programme (e-REC) captures clinical activity and epidemiology for these rare conditions. EuRRECa receives guidance compliant with the highest ethical standards from Expert Working Groups that align with the Main Thematic Groups of Endo-ERN. Security, data quality and data governance are cornerstones of this platform. Clear policies that are acceptable to patients, researchers and industry for data governance coupled with widespread dissemination and knowledge exchange through closely affiliated stakeholders will ensure sustainability beyond the current lifetime of the project. This paper describes the infrastructure that has been developed, stakeholder involvement, the data fields that are captured within the registry and details on the process for using the platform

Automatic modulation classification using interacting multiple model - Kalman filter for channel estimation
YesA rigorous model for automatic modulation
classification (AMC) in cognitive radio (CR) systems is proposed
in this paper. This is achieved by exploiting the Kalman filter
(KF) integrated with an adaptive interacting multiple model
(IMM) for resilient estimation of the channel state information
(CSI). A novel approach is proposed, in adding up the squareroot singular values (SRSV) of the decomposed channel using the
singular value decompositions (SVD) algorithm. This new
scheme, termed Frobenius eigenmode transmission (FET), is
chiefly intended to maintain the total power of all individual
effective eigenmodes, as opposed to keeping only the dominant
one. The analysis is applied over multiple-input multiple-output
(MIMO) antennas in combination with a Rayleigh fading channel
using a quasi likelihood ratio test (QLRT) algorithm for AMC.
The expectation-maximization (EM) is employed for recursive
computation of the underlying estimation and classification
algorithms. Novel simulations demonstrate the advantages of the
combined IMM-KF structure when compared to the perfectly
known channel and maximum likelihood estimate (MLE), in
terms of achieving the targeted optimal performance with the
desirable benefit of less computational complexity loads
The Majorana neutrino masses, neutrinoless double beta decay and nuclear matrix elements
The effective Majorana neutrino mass is evaluated by using the latest results
of neutrino oscillation experiments. The problems of the neutrino mass
spectrum,absolute mass scale of neutrinos and the effect of CP phases are
addressed. A connection to the next generation of the neutrinoless double beta
decay (0nbb-decay) experiments is discussed. The calculations are performed for
76Ge, 100Mo, 136Xe and 130Te by using the advantage of recently evaluated
nuclear matrix elements with significantly reduced theoretical uncertainty. An

Detector for imaging and dosimetry of laser-driven epithermal neutrons by alpha conversion
An epithermal neutron imager based on detecting alpha particles created by boron neutron capture mechanism is discussed. The diagnostic mainly consists of a mm thick Boron Nitride (BN) sheet (as an alpha converter) in contact with a non-borated cellulose nitride film (LR115 type-II) detector. While the BN absorbs the neutrons below 0.1 eV, the fast neutrons register insignificantly in the detector due to their low neutron capture and recoil cross-sections. The use of solid-state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD), unlike image plates, micro-channel plates and scintillators, provide safeguard from the x-rays, gamma-rays and electrons. The diagnostic was tested on a proof-of-principle basis, in front of a laser driven source of moderated neutrons, which suggests the potential of using this diagnostic (BN+SSNTD) for dosimetry and imaging applications
