Corrections to Tribimaximal Mixing from Nondegenerate Phases

We propose a seesaw scenario that possible corrections to the tribimaximal pattern of lepton mixing are due to the small phase splitting of the right-handed neutrino mass matrix. we show that the small deviations can be expressed analytically in terms of two splitting parameters($\delta_1$ and $\delta_2$) in the leading order. The solar mixing angle $\theta_{12}$ favors a relatively smaller value compared to zero order value ($35.3^\circ$), and the Dirac type CP phase $\delta$ chooses a nearly maximal one. The two Majorana type CP phases $\rho$ and $\sigma$ turn out to be a nearly linear dependence. Also a normal hierarchy neutrino mass spectrum is favored due to the stability of perturbation calculations.Comment: 19 pages 6 figures, Accepted by Mod. Phy. Lett.

Thermal activation energy of 3D vortex matter in NaFe1-xCoxAs (x=0.01, 0.03 and 0.07) single crystals

We report on the thermally activated flux flow dependency on the doping dependent mixed state in NaFe1-xCoxAs (x=0.01, 0.03, and 0.07) crystals using the magnetoresistivity in the case of B//c-axis and B//ab-plane. It was found clearly that irrespective of the doping ratio, magnetoresistivity showed a distinct tail just above the Tc, offset associated with the thermally activated flux flow (TAFF) in our crystals. Furthermore, in TAFF region the temperature dependence of the activation energy follows the relation U(T, B)=U_0 (B) (1-T/T_c )^q with q=1.5 in all studied crystals. The magnetic field dependence of the activation energy follows a power law of U_0 (B)~B^(-{\alpha}) where the exponent {\alpha} is changed from a low value to a high value at a crossover field of B=~2T, indicating the transition from collective to plastic pinning in the crystals. Finally, it is suggested that the 3D vortex phase is the dominant phase in the low-temperature region as compared to the TAFF region in our series samples

Best Management Practices to Minimize Nitrate Leaching for Irrigated Potatoes

Nitrate nitrogen (N03-N) leaching is becoming an alarming threat to ground water in many areas in the U.S. In one study in North Carolina, over 9000 domestic wells were sampled for nitrate. Over 3 percent (288 wells) contained N03-N at levels exceeding the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) safe drinking water standard of 10 mgIL (Jennings, et aI., 1991). Ground water quality concerns in central Nebraska surfaced in the mid 1950s when scientists observed increasing N03-N concentrations in the ground water of some river valleys (Olson et aI., 1962). In Utah also, excessive N03-N contamination has been found in private wells. This is a concern because ground water is the major rural source of domestic water in Utah

PEMERIKSAAN JUMLAH SEL LEUKOSIT PADA PENDERITA TUBERKULOSIS PARU DI UPT KESEHATAN PARU MASYARAKAT DINAS KESEHATAN PROVINSI SUMATERA UTARA

Tuberkulosis paru atau sering disebut TB paru merupakan suatu penyakit infeksi paru yang disebabkan oleh kuman mycobacterium tuberculosis yang ditularkan melalui udara. Salah satu pemeriksaan penunjang pada penderita TB paru adalah pemeriksaan jumlah sel Lekosit. Lekosit berfungsi dalam memerangi infeksi yang disebabkan oleh virus, bakteri, ataupun proses metabolik toksin. Pada penderita TB paru ditemukan sedikit peningkatan jumlah sel Lekosit yang disebut dengan istilah Leukositosis. Tujuan peneltiian ini untuk mengetahui jumlah sel Lekosit pada penderita Tuberkulosis paru di UPT Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Disain penelitian bersifat deskriftif cross sectional. Penulis ingin melakukan pemeriksaan jumlah sel Lekosit dengan menggunakan alat Auto Hematology Analyzer Mindray BC-300 Plus dengan sampel sebanyak 50 orang, bahan yang digunakan adalah darah dengan antikoagulan EDTA. Penelitian dilakukan di laboratorium UPT Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh Lekosit yang normal sebanyak 30 orang (60%), meningkat sebanyak 20 orang (40%)

The GCG mechanismis proxied with managerial ownership (KM), institutional leadership (KI), independent board ofcommissioner (DKI) and independent audit committee (KAI). The sample used in this studywere 11 companies registered in CGPI for three years starting from 2013 to 2015.To knowwhether the above GCG variables have an effect on earnings management, multiple linearregression test using SPSS 2.1 program. The test results show that only managerial ownershipvariables has significantly influence to earnings management. Effect of sulphuric acid on concrete with iron ore tailings

Researches into the uses of waste materials are increasingly being explored to meet up society’s needs and global protection for sustainable, safe and economic development. This paper assessed concrete with iron ore tailings (IOT) exposed to dilute sulphuric acid. Iron ore tailings are the materials left-over after separating the valuable fraction from the uneconomic fraction of an ore. To study the effect of sulphuric acid, concrete of 100 mm cube with a different mix ratios containing IOT were prepared and cured for 28 days in water. The cubes were later immersed into dilute sulphuric acid at a concentration of 5%. The compressive strength of concrete at 7, 28 and 90 days of water curing were determined. Mass loss and strength reduction due to sulphuric effect were evaluated at 7, 28 and 90 days respectively. XRD microstructure of concrete specimens was analysed. Test results indicated that the IOT could be used in concrete as sand replacement since the concrete with IOT has similar trend in compressive strength loss and mass loss to sulphuric acid attack compared to control specimen. The mineralogical crystal failure patterns due to the sulphuric acid in terms X-ray diffraction analysis are the same for control and IOT concrete

Kesenian Barongsai kembali muncul di Indonesia semenjak era reformasi dan tahun baru China juga telah ditetapkan sebagai hari besar nasional. Namun penerimaan masyarakat terhadap kesenian barongsai masih kurang, dikarenakan presepsi yang salah bahwa seni barongsai adalah milik dan hanya untuk kalangan tertentu. Untuk itulah dibuat sebuah perancangan buku yang dikemas dengan teknik fotografi menampilkan foto dokumentasi dari akulturasi dua budaya China dan Indonesia lewat Barongsai Dharma Bhakti
