    Insecticide Resistance and Effect of Piperonyl Butoxide as a Synergist in Three Strains of Aedes Aegypti (Linn.) (Diptera: Culicidae) Against Insecticides Permethrin, Cypermethrin, and D-allethrin

    Tiga strain nyamuk Aedes aegypti yang dipelihara di laboratorium dan dikoleksi dari lapangan diuji menggunakan tiga jenis insektisida dari golongan piretroid (permetrin, cypermetrin, dan d-alletrin) dengan metode bottle bioassay untuk mengetahui tingkatan dan mekanisme dari resistensi yang terjadi terhadap insektisida piretroid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga strain yang diuji kemungkinan telah resisten terhadap ketiga insektisida tersebut, termasuk strain-strain yang telah dipelihara selama beberapa generasi di laboratorium, yang diindikasikan dengan nilai LT90 yang tinggi. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat aktivitas MFO (Mixed-Function Oxidase) pada ketiga strain yang diuji, di mana mekanisme tersebut mungkin berperan dalam menimbulkan resistensi pada ketiga strain, meskipun diduga terdapat mekanisme lain yang juga ikut terlibat

    Online Advertising is said to be the current trend in advertising industry and will be able to survive and focuses on being valuable. For this project, the scope of Online Advertising is going to be discussed. To be more specific, this study will focus mainly from the user perspective. Online Advertising is the act of spreading the message of the products and services over the Internet to targeted potential customers (in this study, the user). The problem from the user perspective is that, the ads retrieved or delivered do not satisfy the user, thus affecting the user browsing behaviour. The objectives are to develop an extension of a normal website to get feedback from the user on the ads retrieved, to evaluate the ads relevancy retrieved based on the user query and browsing behaviour, to prepare a set of questionnaire and to come out with a good policy to measure user satisfaction in browsing for ads. This study will describe how the system is being developed with the support of few literature reviews and findings that had been establish previously. The research methodology approach which is the Rapid Application Prototyping also is being discussed. The four phases involved, together with the project activities are being list down in order to monitor the development of the system. The result and discussion chapter will cover the analysis of the survey that had been conducted. Plus, the study will describe the system architecture and the prototype design of the system

    This research focuses on the non-state actors in Cambodia is called AFESIP. AFESIP is a non-state actors, but are categorized in international organizations, whose role is help overcome or reduce the number of cases or international issues which play a role in AFESIP for womens rights. AFESIP is an independent non-governmental organization, non-profit, expected sources of funds from donors, but has the vision and mission as well as a number of programs undertaken to help address and alleviate the problem of exploitation of women in Cambodia, year in 2004 to 2012. AFESIP in that year began to grow up and be able to show existence with it experience in nationally and internationally with built of AFESIP in Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Women exploitation in Cambodia is a result of the occupation of France and Khmer Rouge war in 1863-1978. Overall, this research about AFESIP and the programs, and how it can reduces many womens exploitation in Cambodia, so it can keep the stabilitation of that state and keep the security for women, especially for womens right.     Community of Seaweeds on Cemara Beach East Lombok

    Seaweeds (macroalgae) are a marine biological resource that have an important role in aquatic ecosystems and for society. The aim of this research was to determine community of seaweeds in Cemara Beach, East Lombok Regency.Data were collected at four observation points using a method of combinationof the line transect and quadrat. Seaweeds community data were analyzed using density parameters, important values, species diversity index, and species evenness index. The similarity percentage between transects was determined based on the Bray-Curtis cluster analysis using biodiversity program-version 2. In Cemara Beach there were 24 species of macroalgae which memberof 3 divisions, 11 orders and 15 families. Chlorophyta was a division with highest number of species. The number of species for Chlorophyta was 14 species, Rhodophyta division was 7 species, and Phaeophyta division 3 species. The species with highest density is Enteromorpha sp.,25.1 clumps/m2. Ulva lactuca is the species with the highest important value (72.69%). Diversity and evenness index in Cemara Beach seaweed species were 1,868 (medium category) and 0,699 (almost evenly distributed).The results of cluster analysis based on environmental parameters, species similarity and number of clumps of seaweed species, diversity index, and species evenness index indicate that seaweed in Cemara Beach can generally be divided into 2 groups

    In this paper, we will show some properties of codes over the ring Bk=Fp[v1,…,vk]/(vi2=vi,∀i=1,…,k).B_k=\mathbb{F}_p[v_1,\dots,v_k]/(v_i^2=v_i,\forall i=1,\dots,k). These rings, form a family of commutative algebras over finite field Fp\mathbb{F}_p. We first discuss about the form of maximal ideals and characterization of automorphisms for the ring BkB_k. Then, we define certain Gray map which can be used to give a connection between codes over BkB_k and codes over Fp\mathbb{F}_p. Using the previous connection, we give a characterization for equivalence of codes over BkB_k and Euclidean self-dual codes. Furthermore, we give generators for invariant ring of Euclidean self-dual codes over BkB_k through MacWilliams relation of Hamming weight enumerator for such codes

    Aplikasi Campuran Serbuk Kayu Pinus Dan Fipronil Sebagai Umpan Rayap Tanah Macrotermes Gilvus (Hagen) (Isoptera: Termitidae) Di Bandung

    In this study, termite bait comprising pinewood of sawdust and a slow action insecticide, fipronil, was made and applied to control subterranean termite Macrotermes gilvus (Hagen) (Isoptera: Termitidae) in Bandung. Colony size was measured using capture-mark-release-recapture prior to the bait application, along with the measurement of wood consumption at each station. Colony foraging populations at all stations were estimated to be 77,951 termites, with mean wood consumption rates ranging from 0.02 to 6.16 g/station/day. Observation at 18 stations installed with bait consisted of 40 ppm fipronil mixed with pinewood sawdust showed that number of foraging activity termites was effectively reduced in 40 days. It is concluded that fipronil-treated pinewood sawdust bait is effective in controlling the population of foraging M. gilvus workers in 40 days
