THE INFLUENCE OF USING SNAKES AND LADDERS GAME TOWARD STUDENTSâ SIMPLE PAST TENSE MASTERY AT THE SECOND SEMESTER OF THE EIGHTH GRADE OF SMPN 3 PALAS SOUTH OF LAMPUNG IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018
Based on classroom teaching and learning activities, it was found that some learners
experienced difficulties in learning simple past tense. They were low-motivated in
tense especially simple past tense. They were also confused how to change the
regular and irregular verb in simple past tense. In addition, the technique used by the
teacher was monotonous, which made the learners bored to join English lesson
especially simple past tense. It was proven by the learnersâ simple past tense score in
which 68% of the learners got <72. For that reason, snakes and ladders game is the
best answer to support success in teaching learning process to improve the learnersâ
simple past tense. The objective of this research is to find out whether there is
significant influence of using snakes and ladders game towards studentsâ simple past
tense.
Two classes were chosen as 1st and 2nd experimental class by using Cluster Random
Sampling. 1st experimental class was treated by using snakes and ladders game 2nd
experimental class was treated by using Lecturing Technique. The test had been tried
out to find out the validity, reliability, before it was used to gather the data. The
formula was used to analyze the data was t-test. It was used to determine whether
there was a significance difference both experimental class and control class or not.
After collecting the data, were analyzed by using independent sample t-test, it was
found that the result of Sig. (2-tailed) of the equal variance was 0.02, and α = 0.05. Ha
is accepted if Sig. (Ïvalue) †α = 0.05 and Ho is accepted. Based on the computation, it
can be concluded that there was influence of using snake and ladder game toward
studentsâ simple past tense mastery at the second semester of the eighth grade.

Employee Stock Ownership Plans: Uncertainties Plaguing the Duties of the ESOP Fiduciary With Respect to Voting and Defensive ESOPs
This article will examine two particular dilemmas that challenge ESOP fiduciaries: voting rights and the use of defensive ESOPs. First, this article will discuss the development of ESOPs and their general mechanics. Second, it will explore the creation of ERISA, including the policy behind the statutory scheme. It will then set forth ERISA fiduciary law, noting the interplay of ERISA fiduciary standards and trust law. Third, this article will address problems confronting the ESOP fiduciary, specifically, voting and tendering shares of ESOP stock and the effect of using an ESOP as an anti-takeover device. In doing so, this article will look not only at how federal courts have interpreted and applied ERISA fiduciary standards to ESOP fiduciaries, but will also critique the standards which the Department of Labor have proposed to police this area. Finally, it will suggest simpler yet more definitive standards than those which the courts and the Department of Labor have formulated, in an attempt to provide workable guidelines for ESOP fiduciaries to follow in the exercise of their duties
Gambaran Perasaan Insecure di Kalangan Mahasiswa yang Mengalami Kecanduan Media Sosial Tiktok
TikTok is one of the results of advances in the world of technology that can make it easier for someone to do anything online. It is not surprising that most people today use various social media to disseminate the information they get, both in groups and individually. The purpose of the study is to get an overview of the feelings of insecurity among Satya Wacana Christian University psychology students who are addicted to TikTok social media, as well as the factors that affect insecurity that cause feelings of insecurity among Satya Wacana Christian University psychology students who are addicted to TikTok social media. This type of research is qualitative research with a phenomenological research design. Data collection in this study used interviews and observations of 3 participants. This study uses technical triangulation and time triangulation as a test of the credibility of the data. From the results of this study, it was found that the insecurity of the Satya Wacana Christian University psychology faculty students felt anxious and nervous about their own appearance, as well as a feeling of lack of confidence in their abilities. There are factors that affect the insecurity of Satya Wacana Christian University psychology students, namely comparing their work too much and comparing their physical appearance to other people who are more famous
Word of Mouth, Viral Marketing and Open Data: A Large-Scale Simulation for Predicting Opinion Diffusion on Ethical Food Consumption
The file attached to this record is the author's final peer reviewed version. The Publisher's final version can be found by following the DOI link. This paper presents the first results of a large-scale-Agent-Based Simulation devoted to simulate individual behaviour inside a medium sized city (600,000 inhabitants). Humans are simulated as Intelligent Individual entities characterized by several attributes created from the Open Data available by means of a multi-layer approach. The work presented is divided into two main parts: the first part aims to describe the multi-layer approach adopted with the inclusion of the social network layer devoted to capture how social networks can be correlated with human activities and how an âIndividual Opinionâ can changes based on social interactions. The second part is devoted to present a preliminary case study for simulating the propagation dynamics of the individual opinion in the form of an ethical value function. The basic idea is to capture the changes in the individual opinion based on the social interactions predicted by the simulation. Finally, a food choice model for predicting individual choices based on the individual opinion function is presented; the model is based on three parameters: accessibility of ethical shops, price difference with standard products, and ethical value propagation
SIMULATION AS DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR DISASTER PREVENTION
This paper describes the overall architecture of a simulator developed by Simulation Team and Genova University to address the problem of strategic decision making related to prevention and mitigation of natural disasters risks. The proposed approach combines a Decision Support System for supporting decision makers in strategic planning with interoperable simulation and serious games. The scenario used for the validation in this case focuses with a particular attention on hydrogeology and related risks within urban environments. The authors propose a multilevel and multi resolution simulation able to match the models of the flooding with that one of the population reproducing interest groups as well as single people. Indeed the
population is simulated by intelligent agents (IAs) that include physiological, social and psychological parameters reproducing feelings and emotions that
allow them to live and move inside the virtual city both in normal conditions as well as during the disasters. In facts in normal conditions works devoted to serve as preventive actions devoted to prevent certain events and or mitigate their impact are carried out; vice versa during the crisis, decisions change addressing the identification of convenient operational planning and/or evacuation site. Each time, an action is undertaken by the decision makers, the IAs react dynamically by changing their feelings and their political consensus, so it becomes possible to plan the actions in an effective way by maintaining the consensus and support of the population
HYPERBARIC PLANT SIMULATION FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

In general the main mandate is to improve performance reducing costs and risks. On the other side, new technologies and advancements are enabling to further develop the potential of the above mentioned solutions; for instance the authors propose a new generation of computer based Hyperbaric Plant Simulators that are pretty promising for improving training & education without rising costs of underwater man based operations. This paper proposes an innovative approach in M&S for the Hyperbaric Life Support Supervisors (LSS) as well as other operators active into diving activities
