There are some reports of new non-enzymatic methods of isolating human gingival fibroblast for short-time cultivation in vitro to be used in autologous gingival augmentation. The aim of this study was to obtain a simple and established method of culturing human gingival fibroblasts. Pityriasis rosea Gibert (PR) is a common, self-limited dermatosis typically diagnosed in teenagers and young adults. It is characterized by a maculopapular lesions with a scaly border localized on trunk and proximal extremities distributed in a Christmas tree pattern. We present a case of an 45-year old man who developed a rare, papulopustular variant of the disease.Łupież różowy Giberta (pityriasis rosea Giberti) jest częstą, samoograniczającą się dermatozą typowo obserwowaną u nastolatków i młodych dorosłych. Charakteryzuje się rumieniowo-złuszczającymi wykwitami o „choinkowatym” układzie zlokalizowanymi na tułowiu i dosiebnych częściach kończyn. Communication in the Cancer Microenvironment as a Target for Therapeutic Interventions

The tumor microenvironment (TME) is a complex system composed of multiple cells, such as non-cancerous fibroblasts, adipocytes, immune and vascular cells, as well as signal molecules and mediators. Tumor cells recruit and reprogram other cells to produce factors that maintain tumor growth. Communication between cancerous and surrounding cells is a two-way process and engages a diverse range of mechanisms that, in consequence, can lead to rapid proliferation, metastasis, and drug resistance, or can serve as a tumors-suppressor, e.g., through tumor–immune cell interaction. Cross-talk within the cancer microenvironment can be direct by cell-to-cell contact via adhesion molecules, electrical coupling, and passage through gap junctions, or indirect through classical paracrine signaling by cytokines, growth factors, and extracellular vesicles. Therapeutic approaches for modulation of cell-cell communication may be a promising strategy to combat tumors. In particular, integrative approaches targeting tumor communication in combination with conventional chemotherapy seem reasonable. Currently, special attention is paid to suppressing the formation of open-ended channels as well as blocking exosome production or ablating their cargos. However, many aspects of cell-to-cell communication have yet to be clarified, and, in particular, more work is needed in regard to mechanisms of bidirectional signal transfer. Finally, it seems that some interactions in TEM can be not only cancer-specific, but also patient-specific, and their recognition would help to predict patient response to therapy

The Series of ''Scena Faktu'' in the Polish Television Theatre in 2006-2007

Praca poświęcona jest Scenie Faktu Teatru Telewizji (2006-2011). Autorka przedstawia krótki zarys historyczny teatru faktu w Teatrze Telewizji oraz specyfikę Sceny Faktu (kontekst jej powstania, zarys historyczny, realizacje). Następnie krytycznie analizuje wybrane spektakle tej serii, biorąc pod uwagę konteksty: polityczny, społeczny i artystyczny. W zakończeniu podsumowuje całą serię, zwracając uwagę na fenomen całej serii i duży odbiór społeczny i jednocześnie stosunkowo niski poziom artystyczny spektakli.This Essay is dedicated to the Series ''Scena Faktu'' of Polish Theatre Television in 2006-2011. The author desribes a short history of the Theatre of the Fact in the Theatre of Television and the unique character of ''Scena Faktu'' (how it was created, its history and performances). The next part is focused on the analysis of selected performances this series, the political, social and artistic contecst. The least part is the summary of the Series. The author highlights the phenomenon of this Series and the huge influence of the audience comparing to the relatively low artistic level of these performances

Autorka niniejszej pracy licencjackiej analizuje przedstawienie oparte na dramacie Pawła Demirskiego - Diament, to węgiel, który wziął się do roboty, w kontekście przemian społeczno-kulturowych Śląska. Problem transformacji i zmian ustrojowych w Polsce, po 1989 roku nadal jest aktualny w tym regionie. Artyści poruszają tę kwestię w swoim spektaklu, konfrontując przeszłe wydarzenia z teraźniejszością. W części pierwszej tekstu przedstawiony zostaje krótki zarys historii Śląska w aspektach społeczno-politycznym i kulturowym. W części drugiej analiza samego spektaklu: gra przestrzenią, scenografią i rekwizytami, funkcje kostiumów, czy też sceny i sekwencje spektaklu.The author of this diploma paper analyses the performance based on the drama of Paweł Demirski - Diament, to węgiel, który wziął się do roboty, in the context of social-cultural changes of Silesian society. The problem of transformation and political changes in Poland after 1989 is still actual in this region. Artists move this issue in their performance, confronting past events and present. In the first part of the text is presented a brief outline of the history of Silesia in social-political and cultural aspects. In the second part, analysis of the performance: game space, stage design and props, costume functions or scenes and sequences of this performance

The aim of the article is to present a specific approach to the problem of constructing the regional identity of the Lodzkie Region based on activities promoting the region. Attention was focused on those activities that have specific form of so-called “events”. These initiatives have, in addition, a function integrating representatives of various communities associated with the region and an educational function within the scope of ideas and methodologies of design thinking (as the big idea of the Lodzkie brand). Attention was drawn to their “out of the box” and innovative approach to the construction of regional identification.Целью статьи является презентация определенного подхода к проблеме конструирования региональной самоидентификации Лодзинского Воеводства, основываясь на промоции региона. Внимание сосредоточено на такой деятельности, которая имеет форму так называемых «ивентов». Эти Инициативы, кроме того, должны объединять также интеграционную функцию представителей различных сообществ, связанных с регионом и образовательную функцию в области идей и методологии проектного мышления (как главной идеи марки Лодзи). Comparative Analysis of the Thermal Insulation of Traditional and Newly Designed Protective Clothing for Foundry Workers

An objective of the undertaken research was checking the applicability of aluminized basalt fabrics for the production of clothing for foundry workers. The results of flammability, the resistance to contact, convective and radiation heat, as well as the resistance to big molten metal splashes confirmed the thesis of applicability of the packages with the use of aluminized basalt fabric content for the assumed purpose; therefore, such protective clothing was produced. Thermal comfort of foundry workers is very important and related to many factors, i.e., the structure of the protective clothing package, the number of layers, their thickness, the distance between the body and appropriate underwear. In the paper, a comparison of the results of thermal insulation measurement of two kinds of protective clothing is presented: the traditional one made of aluminized glass fabrics and the new one made of aluminized basalt fabrics. Measurements of clothing thermal insulation were conducted using a thermal manikin dressed in the protective clothing and three kinds of underwear products covering the upper and lower part of the manikin
