    Pembelajaran daring atau online yang telah dilakukan selama ini di UIN Sumatera Utara (UINSU) menggunakan berbagai jenis media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada pembelajaran daring menggunakan media platform google classroom pada mata kuliah biologi umum di UINSU pada mata kuliah biologi umum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 50 orang mahasiswa yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah biologi umum diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode random sampling. Data kemandirian belajar mahasiswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket, dan data hasil belajar biologi umum mahasiswa diperoleh melalui instrument tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi sederhana dan uji-t. Dari hasil analisis diketahui terdapat hubungan antara variabel kemandirian belajar dan hasil belajar dengan persentase sumbangan pengaruh variabel kemandirian belajar terhadap variabel hasil belajar adalah sebesar 73.7 % (R=0.858; RĀ²=0,737). Selanjutnya, diperoleh nilai thitung = 11,589 dan ttabel= 2.01, yang berarti variabel kemandirian belajar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pendidikan biologi UINSU pada mata kuliah biologi umum daring dengan menggunakan platform google Classroom belajar

    Citrus is one of the horticultural plants found in Indonesia and is in great demand. The diversity of oranges is very high as indicated by the number of Citrus members. North Sumatra is one of the province with high citrus productivity. Therefore, this study aims to identify the diversity of citrus plants based on their morphological characters in Ā Nibung Hangus area, Batu Bara, North Sumatra. Data were collected by exploration method. Morphological identification is carried out to assess the morphological diversity of samples taken at the study site, including visual observations of the size, shape and color of plant organ parts. The organs observed included the stems, leaves and fruit of citrus plants. Morphological characterization using the guidelines in IPGRI and the book of Tjitrosoepomo (2002). The data analysis was carried out in a descriptive qualitative. The results showed that there were 5 types of citrus plants found in Nibung Hangus, namely Pamelo Plant (Citrus maxima), Lime Plant (Citrus aurantifolia), Tangerine Plant (Citrus reticulata blanco), Kaffir Lime Plant (Citrus hystrix), and Sunkist Citrus Crop (Citrus sinensis)

    Improving student biology learning outcomes through guided inquiry assisted mind mapping

    Guided inquiry can make students active in solving problems with the skills and knowledge that students have. This supports the improvement of student learning outcomes and fosters student creativity in understanding learning materials through mind mapping. The purpose of this study was to examine the guided inquiry model with the aid of mind mapping on the biology learning outcomes of class X high school students. This type of research uses a quasi- experimental with Pre-test and Post-test Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of the study was class X students as many as 3 classes with a total of 108 people. The sample consisted of 2 classes, namely X IPA1 as the control class and X IPA2 as the experimental class. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data was taken using a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions 20 questions. Data analysis was carried out using the t test, the results obtained were tcount > ttable so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of guided inquiry model with mind mapping on biology learning outcomes. This guided inquiry learning model with mind mapping can help students participate in the learning process and observation and can make students understand the subject matter better

    Problem Based Learning: Its Effect On Problem Solving Skills Of Islamic Boarding School student

    Increasing problem-solving competence is fundamental for students to learn in the future. The application of problem-based learning (PBL) has not been optimal, especially in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to know the effect of PBL learning model on problem-solving skills of students in Islamic boarding schools. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research. The populations in this study were 4 classes with a total of 108 students. The sample consisted of 2 classes, namely class X IPA A as the experimental class and class X IPA B as the control class, 26 students each. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. Data collection techniques using test instruments in the form of multiple choice with 25 questions. The data analysis technique used in this study was the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results were tested using a paired sample test (t test) on the PBL learning model on problem-solving skills, the significant value was 0.000 (sig. <0.05) then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. These results indicate a significant difference using the PBL model compared to conventional learning. PBL is an alternative learning model that encourages student-oriented biological learning and improves students' ability to solve problems, especially in Islamic boarding schools

    Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media Pembelajaran Audiovisual: Pengaruhnya Terhadap Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa

    Metode belajar yang berpusat kepada guru ā€œTeacher centeredā€ yang merupakan pembelajaran konvensional dapat menimbulkan kejenuhan pada siswa. Situasi ini berpengaruh buruk pada capaian belajar yang dihasilkan siswa. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ialah untuk melihat dampak model belajar discovery learning didukung oleh media audiovisual pada pembelajaran biologi terkait capaian belajar Biologi siswa. Eksperimental semu dan Non equivalent control group design merupakan jenis penelitian yang dilakukan. Populasinya ialah kelas XI MIA yang terdiri atas empat kelas dengan total 141 siswa. Sampel berjumlah dua kelas yang dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling, tiap kelas terdiri atas 36 siswa. Kelas eksperimen ialah kelas dengan menerapkan model belajar discovery learning yang didukung oleh media audiovisual adalah kelas XI MIA 1, sementara itu kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model belajar konvensional yakni kelas XI MIA 3. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis berupa multiple choices dengan total 20 soal pertanyaan. Setelah data terkumpul, dilakukan analisis uji-t. Diperoleh hasil yang membuktikan bahwa adanya pengaruh model belajar discovery learning didukung oleh media audiovisual terkait capaian belajar biologi siswa. Penerapan model belajar discovery learning dapat dipergunakan guru untuk memperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar siswa tersebut. Penggunaan media audiovisual bisa memudahkan guru untuk memberikan materi pelajaran, maka dari itu kegiatan pembelajaran berjalan efektif dan efisie

    Development of Animation-Based Learning Videos for Respiratory System Materials

    Education in the 21st century is a learning system that aims to prepare a generation that prioritizes technological progress to be able to keep up with the times, one of which is to develop animated learning videos as learning media. in the development of this animated video, it makes it easier for teachers and students to deliver learning and can make learning more interesting while also making it easier for students to understand biology lessons, especially in the respiratory system material. This study aims to create a learning media in the form of an animated video that is feasible and practical. This research uses the R&D Research method. The research model is a 4D model, the research design was modified into four namely descriptions, design, development, and dissemination. Ratings on animated videos by media experts are 93.00%, material experts are 96.00%, and practitioners are 88.00%. Student assessments were obtained from a limited trial of 83.00% and a broad trial of 82.00%. Each assessment is in the product category very suitable for use in the learning process

    Wahdatul Ulum Integrated Pedagogical Competence: Analysis in Pre-service Biology Teacher

    This study aims to know the integrated pedagogical competence of wahdatul ulum in pre-service biology teacher. The measured pedagogical competence indicators focused on the design and implementation of learning. It can be seen from the ability of students to develop wahdatul ulum-based learning scenarios and its implementation. This study used a descriptive qualitative research method using learning scenario assessment sheet and observation sheet on the implementation of learning scenarios as data collection instruments. Participants were 4th semester of biology education students who take biology learning strategy courses. 12 participants were selected by purposive sampling. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that pre-service biology teacher students were able to create an excellent learning scenario covering aspects of the completeness of the learning scenario components, the suitability of the subject name, the selection of learning models, the formulation of learning activities, and language. The suitability of learning objectives and wahdatul ulum aspects were classified as good. There needs to be an emphasis to put the learning objectives in learning scenarios so that the learning outcomes are clear. The meaning of the verses of the Qur'an regarding the material also needs to be explained to support the integration of wahdatul ulum in learning. In the implementation of learning, each stage of the preliminary activity, core activity, and closing activity was carried out very well, according to the learning scenario that had been made. The implication of this research is that there is a need for strengthening of a comprehensive understanding in the delivery of material on learning strategies and planning for biology courseThis study aims to know the integrated pedagogical competence of wahdatul ulum in pre-service biology teacher.
