    Phase-field-crystal model for fcc ordering

    We develop and analyze a two-mode phase-field-crystal model to describe fcc ordering. The model is formulated by coupling two different sets of crystal density waves corresponding to and reciprocal lattice vectors, which are chosen to form triads so as to produce a simple free- energy landscape with coexistence of crystal and liquid phases. The feasibility of the approach is demonstrated with numerical examples of polycrystalline and (111) twin growth. We use a two-mode amplitude expansion to characterize analytically the free-energy landscape of the model, identifying parameter ranges where fcc is stable or metastable with respect to bcc. In addition, we derive analytical expressions for the elastic constants for both fcc and bcc. Those expressions show that a non-vanishing amplitude of [200] density waves is essential to obtain mechanically stable fcc crystals with a non-vanishing tetragonal shear modulus (C11 - C12)/2. We determine the model parameters for specific materials by fitting the peak liquid structure factor properties and solid density wave amplitudes following the approach developed for bcc [K.-A. Wu and A. Karma, Phys. Rev. B 76, 184107 (2007)]. This procedure yields reasonable predictions of elastic constants for both bcc Fe and fcc Ni using input parameters from molecular dynamics simulations.     Daerah resapan air adalah daerah masuknya air dari permukaan tanah ke dalam zona jenuh air sehingga membentuk suatu aliran air tanah yang mengalir ke daerah yang lebih rendah. Kebutuhan lahan sebagai ruang dalam proses pembangunan terus bertambah dalam rangka meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, tetapi dalam eksistingnya pengembangan lahan tidak disertai dengan kesesuaiannya seperti yang telah ditetapkan. Kasus di Kota Tanjungpinang Ada beberapa kawasan yang seharusnya berfungsi sebagai kawasan resapan air namun pada kenyataannya menjadi kawasan terbangun, seperti pemimbunan lahan di daerah resapan air sekitaran Rumah Sakit Umum Provinsi (RSUP) di KM 8, Tanjungpinang. Penelitian ini fokus pada pertanyaan seberapa besar penyimpangan guna lahan khususnya peruntukan Kawasan Resapan Air di Kota Tanjungpinang, dengan sasaran pertama, mengidentifikasi sebaran pengunaan lahan eksisting, selanjutnya analisis perubahan penggunaan lahan kawasan terbangun di Kota Tanjungpinang dalam kurun waktu 15 tahun terakhir, analisis persandingan antara Penggunaan Lahan (kawasan terbangun) dengan Rencana Pola Ruang Berdasarkan RTRW Kota Tanjungpiang terkait dengan peruntukan kawasan resapan air, dan mendapatkan informasi dan memberikan rekomendasi terkait besaran penyimpangan pada lahan peruntukan kawasan resapan air di Kota Tanjungpinang. Dari proses penelitian yang dilakukan, didapatkan temuan bahwa secara keseluruhan penyimpangan resapan air di Kota Tanjungpinang pada tahun 2000 yaitu sebesar 15,49 Ha atau 4,36% (bentuk lahan penyimpangan menjadi permukiman dan perumahan) dari Total Keseluruhan peruntukan Kawasan Resapan Air di Kota Tanjungpinang yaitu 355,66 Ha. Dan pada tahun 2015 yaitu sebesar 70,01 Ha atau 19,68% (bentuk lahan penyimpangan menjadi perdagangan dan jasa, permukiman dan perumahan) dari Total Keseluruhan peruntukan Kawasan Resapan Air di Kota Tanjungpinang yaitu 355,66 Ha. Apabila dirinci perkecamatan maka jumlah dan persentase besaran simpangan perkecamatan maka, besar simpangan Kecamatan Bukit Bestari adalah sebesar 13,53 Ha atau sekitar 14,34 % dari total luas keseluruhan peruntukan resapan air seharusnya di Kecamatan Bukit Bestarsi sebesar 94,32Ha, besar simpangan Kecamatan Tanjungpinang Kota adalah sebesar 3,43 Ha atau sekitar 7,59 % dari total luas keseluruhan peruntukan resapan air seharusnya di Kecamatan Tanjungpinang Kota sebesar 45,22 Ha, dan besar simpangan Kecamatan Tanjungpinang Timur adalah sebesar 53,05 Ha atau sekitar 24,55 % dari total luas keseluruhan peruntukan resapan air seharusnya di Kecamatan Tanjungpinang Timur sebesar 216,12 Ha. Sehingga dari temuan kondisi dan besaran penyimpangan kawasan peruntukan kawasan resapan air Kota Tanjungpinang, maka untuk kedepannya perlu diperhatikan beberapa poin penting untuk mengendalikan pengembangan Kota Tanjungpinang agar sesuai dengan arahan pola ruang, diantaranya ketegasan dalam menindak pelanggaran terkait penggunaan lahan yang tidak sesuai, perlunya regulasi khusus yang mengatur kawasan-kawasan konservasi sehingga meminimalisasi perubahan atau alih fungsi lahan ekologis, dan perlu adanya sosialisasi pada masyarakat sehingga sadar dan paham tentang pentingnya pengembangan lahan yang sesuai dengan arahan pola ruang Kata Kunci: Kawasan Peruntukan Resapan Air, Simpangan lahan, Kota Tanjungpinan

    Hva er kroppsøving i Steinerskolen?

    Sammendrag: Hensikten med denne studien er å belyse hva som preger kroppsøvingslærer på norsk steinerskole sin fagforståelse av kroppsøvingsfaget. Samt i hvilken grad deres formelle utdannelse eller tidligere erfaringer preger praktiseringen av faget. Datagrunnlaget for denne studien har blitt skapt gjennom kvalitative en- til- en semistrukturerte intervjuer. Det har deltatt fem kroppsøvingslærere som underviser på steinerskoler i Norge, hvor deltakerne arbeider ved tre ulike skoler. Datamaterialet som har blitt samlet inn, er blitt analysert i tråd med en tematisk analysemetode. Studiens teoretiske rammeverk består av læreplanteori og steinerpedagogikken, samt steinerskolens formelle læreplan med hovedfokus på kroppsøvingsfaget. Læreplanen for steinerskolen har også blitt benyttet, for å skape en helhetlig oversikt og forståelse for steinerskoler i Norge. Læreplanen for kroppsøvingsfaget har også blitt tatt utgangpunkt i for å diskutere kroppsøvingslærerens fagforståelse i kroppsøvingsfaget, og hvordan læreplanen blir oppfattet og operasjonalisert den enkelte lærerens undervisning. Mine funn antyder at det er en tydelig ulikhet mellom kroppsøvingslærere på steinerskolen sin fagforståelse og praktisering av kroppsøvingsfaget, hvor ulikheten ligger i deres formelle kroppsøvingsutdannelse. Det kom til syne at lærerne i ulik grad mestrer å trekke Rudolf Steiner sine grunnideer og tanker om hva kroppsøvingsfaget skal lære og danne elevene. Dette gjenspeilet seg i deres oppfattelse og operasjonalisering av læreplanen i deres undervisning. As well as the extent to which their formal education or previous experiences characterize the practice of the subject. The data basis for this study has been created through qualitative one-to-one semi-structured interviews. Five physical education teachers have participated who teach at Waldorf schools in Norway, where the participants work at three different schools. The data material that has been collected has been analyzed in accordance with a thematic analysis method. The study's theoretical framework consists of curriculum theory and Waldorf pedagogy, as well as the Waldorf school's formal curriculum with the main focus on the physical education subject. The curriculum for the Waldorf school has also been used, to create a comprehensive overview and understanding of Waldorf schools in Norway. The curriculum for the physical education subject has also been used as a starting point for discussing the physical education teacher's subject understanding in the physical education subject, and how the curriculum is perceived and operationalized by the individual teacher's teaching. My findings suggest that there is a clear difference between physical education teachers at the Waldorf school's subject understanding and practice of the physical education subject, where the difference lies in their formal education of physical education. It turned out that the teachers to varying degrees master to draw Rudolf Steiner's basic ideas and thoughts about what the physical education subject should teach and how to form the students. This was reflected in their perception and operationalization of the curriculum in their teaching.     Theoretical vessel valuation and asset play in bulk shipping

The first part develops non-parametric freight rate and scrap value models for the product tanker market. Monte Carlo simulations are used to calculate the value of the vessel as the present value of future cash flow and perform sensitivity analysis with respect to input parameters such as vessel age, freight rate volatility, and scrap price. The second part investigates the performance of technical trading rules for the purpose of asset play in the product tanker market. The rules are tested on monthly returns in the product tanker segment for the period 1981 to 1998. A total of 1053 different parameterizations are evaluated, comprising three of the simplest and most popular trading rules in the financial markets: filter rules, moving averages, and support and resistance levels. Overall, the results provide strong support for the technical strategies. The best-performing trading rule obtains a mean return of 35.4% p.a. above the buy-and-hold annual return of 4.0%. However, the practical implementation in an illiquid market may reduce the theoretical excess return of the best-performing trading rule to a level where it is no longer significant. Moreover, the probability that an investor could have picked, ex ante, a trading rule with statistically significant excess return is small.by Roar Os Adland.S.M
