    FSM BASED DIGITAL WATERMARKING IN IP SECURITY

    IP providers are in pressing need of a convenient means to track the illegal redistribution of the sold IPs. An active approach to protect a VLSI design against IP infringement is by embedding a signature that can only be uniquely generated by the IP author into the design during the process of its creation. a VLSI IP is developed in several levels of design abstraction with the help of many sophisticated electronic design automation tools. Each level of design abstraction involves solving some NP-complete optimization problems to satisfy a set of design constraints. In this paper, a new dynamic watermarking scheme is proposed. The watermark is embedded in the state transitions of FSM at the behavioral level

    Murraya Paniculata Mediated Synthesis Of CdS Nanoparticles For Potent Biomedical Applications

    The leaf extract of Murraya paniculata (MPL) is used to create cadmium sulphide nanoparticles, or CdS NPs and the reducing and stabilizing agent is plant extract. A crucial capping agent in nano production is played by phytochemicals. Analytical methods such as XRD and FTIR are used to characterize CdS NPs. The biomedical applications of prepared CdS NPs were examined, including their anticancer, antifungal, and antibacterial properties. The antibacterial performance was carried out with S.flexneri, C.perfringens, S.typhimurium, and E.faecalis which were all susceptible to the antibacterial action of CdS NPs. At 150µg/ml, S.flexneri and E.faecalis showed a maximum zone of inhibition is 20mm. In addition, A.niger and C.albicans were used to test the antifungal activities, results shows the concentration of 400 µg/ml CdS NPs inhibited the growth of A.flavus (16mm). By using the NRU assay, it was found that the biosynthesized CdS NPs exhibited cytotoxic action against the MCF-7 cell line. Analysis using the NRU assay revealed that treating cell lines with increasing concentrations of NPs had lethal effects. The 24-hour treatment's IC50 was found to be 153.2 µg/ml

    India has experienced rapid growth in potato production during recent past and the country has almost doubled its potato production during 2003–2013. The potato productivity improved 31.4% over this period of time. However, potato production scenario in southern states of India is quite grim and with the result potato consumers of these states always have to purchase potatoes at very high prices compared to the national average prices. With the objective to augment potato production in southern states this study was carried out for analysing socio-economic characteristics of potential potato growers in non-traditional Anantapuramu and Kurnool districts of arid region in Andhra Pradesh.     Data mining and wireless sensor network for agriculture pest/disease predictions

    Data driven precision agriculture aspects, particularly the pest/disease management, require a dynamic crop-weather data. An experiment was conducted in a semi-arid region to understand the crop-weather-pest/disease relations using wireless sensory and field-level surveillance data on closely related and interdependent pest (Thrips) - disease (Bud Necrosis) dynamics of groundnut crop. Data mining techniques were used to turn the data into useful information/knowledge/relations/trends and correlation of crop-weather-pest/ disease continuum. These dynamics obtained from the data mining techniques and trained through mathematical models were validated with corresponding surveillance data. Results obtained from 2009 & 2010 kharif seasons (monsoon) and 2009-10 & 2010-11 rabi seasons (post monsoon) data could be used to develop a real to near real-time decision support system for pest/disease predictions

    Analysis of Pre-requisities and Framework for Introducing Potato Crop in Non-traditional Anantapuram District of Andhra Pradesh

    As per FAOSTAT database, India is the second largest producer of potatoes (45.34 million tonne in 2013) after China (88.99 million tonne in 2013). However, Indian potato production has not been uniformly distributed over its regions and states. About 80% potatoes are produced in Indian Indo-Gangetic plains whereas southern states collectively produce very meagre quantities of potatoes. Karnataka, is an important producers of kharif potatoes which are sold at premium price due to their off season supply. A very large proportion of kharif potato production from the south India is diverted to processing industry and hence the fresh availability of potatoes in the region becomes inadequate to meet the local demand. Consequently, the potato prices in the region remain very high throughout the year in southern part of the country. In order to device a sustainable solution to the problem, CIP and CPRI carried out a joint study to assess feasibility of introducing potato crop in south-western Anantapuramu district of Andhra Pradesh. Notably Andhra Pradesh produces just 1.7 kg/ capita potatoes against 9.1 and 34.2 kg/ ha at Karnataka and All India level, respectively. Results of this study give very strong indication about successful potato cultivation in selected villages of Anantapuramu district along with a comprehensive action plan for introduction of potato crop in the non-traditional area

    Low-cost interventions for big impacts in dryland production systems

    A study at selected action sites in semi-arid region of Andhra Pradesh, India, showed widespread land degradation due to low levels of soil organic carbon (78% of fields) and deficiencies of available nutrients like phosphorus (34%), sulfur (93%), calcium (33%), zinc (84%), boron (73%), and copper (33%). Soil test-based addition of deficient micro- and macronutrients increased food grain production by 30–40% and straw (which is used as fodder) production by 10–30%. Micro-watershed scale low-cost cement-lined farm-ponds at smallholder farm level proved a scalable technology for drought-proofing of crops resulting into additional crop yield by more than 30% during 2015. Augmentation of water sources also facilitated farmers’ to successfully diversify the production system. Shared machinery resources improved the operational and economic efficiency of farm sowing operations through higher crop yields by around 10%. We conclude that a mix of low-cost critical interventions if out-scaled in a large number of dryland small holdings through policy support may not only improve productivity and livelihoods, but also enhance their abilities to effectively cope with the climatic aberrations
