    Intestinal Helminthic Infections in School Children, Cibubur, East Jakarta

    An integrated study was conducted on nutrition, physical examination and soil transmitted helminthes (S-TH) in four priminary schools in Cibubur, East Jakarta. In this report is shown data on prevalence and intensity of S-TH infections. Very low prevalences were found for Ascaris lumbricoides (0.0 – 1.6 %) and Trichuris trichiura (2.5 – 8.9 %). Also egg counts per gram (EPG) were very low. The prevalence and intensity rates were very low possibly due to factors such as self-medication, reguler health education and efforts of surrounding factories to improve the health of the community

    S: Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas tentang strategi komunikasi guru kepada siswa dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Menurut peneliti hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa adalah menyangkut waktu luang atau kesempatan berkumpul (berdiskusi) antara guru dan siswa.Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif, dimana peneliti sebagai instrument kunci, dari hasil wawancara peneliti memberikan gambaran bahwa strategi komunikasi guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa di sekolah lebih kepada ganjaran, dalam Kenyataannya guru sering salah mengartikan strategi ini, guru hanya memahami berupa hukuman yang diberikan kepada siswa yang bersalah, padahal seharusnya ganjaran itu juga diberikan kepada siswa yang berprestasi dalam bentuk hadiah, pujian dan lain-lain. Strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan guru dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa di sekolah dapat berjalan dengan baik apabila orang tua dapat bekerjasama dalam hal komunikasi yang interaktif

    Iradiasi Neutron Pada Bahan Ss316 Untuk Pembuatan Endovascular Stent

    Neutron Irradiation on SS316 Material for Radioactive Endovascular Stent Production. It was reported thatrestenosis could be prevented by radioactive endovascular stent. SS316 material of endovascular stent has beenirradiated at pneumatic rabbit system of G.A. Siwabessy reactor for 5 minutes for producing radioactive stent byneutron activation. After 10 days of decay, the irradiated SS316 was measured by gamma spectrometer. Theradioisotopes of 51Cr, 59Fe and 60Co were detected in the irradiated SS316 with radioactivity of 5990, 107 and 109Bq/mg respectively. The Calculation results showed that radioisotopes of 51Cr, 59Fe and 55Fe were produced by neutronactivation. The radioactivity of 51Cr, 59Fe and 55Fe were 6051, 70 and 110 Bq/mg respectively. In the irradiatedmaterials, the 55Fe was not detected because the radioisotope emitted radiation with very low energy (5.9 keV). It isconsidered that radioisotope of 60Co was produced from cobalt impurity in the SS316

    This study entitled Business Contribution of Seaweed Cultivation in Expanding Employment and Improving Community Welfare in Pangkajene and Islands Districts. The formulation of the problem raised is how the contribution of seaweed cultivation in the Pangkajene and Islands Regency in order to expand employment and improve community welfare and what factors hinder seaweed cultivation in Pangkajene and Islands Districts. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The results showed that the contribution of seaweed cultivation in Pangkajene and Islands Regency was based on the findings that seaweed farming could improve the welfare of the community in the Pangkajene and Islands regencies. So that the utilization of seaweed in Pangkajen district can then be developed towards the commercial sector to be exported and traded as raw material for the manufacture of agar-agar or carrageenan. Factors that hamper seaweed cultivation in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency are related to providing business financing and business capital and natural factors because seaweed cultivation depends on seasons and inadequate seeds, so that seeds and capital are needed so that seaweed cultivation can be developed.Keywords: contribution, seaweed cultivation, community welfare

    PCR-RFLP Using BseDI Enzyme for Pork Authentication in Sausage and Nugget Products

    A polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) using BseDI restriction enzyme had been applied for identifying the presence of pork in processed meat (beef sausage and chicken nugget) including before and after frying. Pork sample in various levels (1%, 3%, 5%, 10%, and 25 %) was prepared in a mixture with beef and chicken meats and processed for sausage and nugget. The primers CYTb1 and CYTb2 were designed in the mitochondrial cytochrome b (cyt b) gene and PCR successfully amplified fragments of 359 bp. To distinguish existence of porcine species, the amplified PCR products of mitochondrial DNA were cut by BseDI restriction enzyme. The result showed pig mitochondrial DNA was cut into 131 and 228 bp fragments. The PCR-RFLP species identification assay yielded excellent results for identification of porcine species. It is a potentially reliable technique for pork detection in animal food processed products for Halal authentication

    Multiband monopole antenna for mobile applications

    — In this paper, a multiband monopole antenna has been proposed for mobile applications. The monopole antenna has simple structure with a physical size of 15 cm × 7 cm. The antenna consists of monopole shape loaded by a set of folded arms with a varying length which lead to a better impedance matching result and multiband performance. The simulated results show that the proposed antenna provide multiband frequency operation of 0.8 GHz, 1.8 GHz 2.1 GHz, 2.6 GHz and 3.5 GHz which covers the range from 0 to 4 GHz. The antenna is designed to operate at sub-6 GHz which proposed as lower frequency band to deliver 5G in early stage. The designed antenna has been fabricated and measured to validate the simulated results. RF Coaxial U.FL Connector was used as the port connector. The measurement results agrees well with the simulated ones for all frequency bands

    Simulation of sub-drains performance using visual MODFLOW for slope water seepage Problem

    Numerical simulation technique was used for investigating water seepage problem at the Botanic Park Kuala Lumpur. A proposed sub-drains installation in problematic site location was simulated using Modular Three-Dimensional Finite Difference Groundwater Flow (MODFLOW) software. The results of simulation heads during transient condition showed that heads in between 43 m (water seepage occurred at level 2) until 45 m (water seepage occurred at level 4) which heads measurement are referred to mean sea level. However, elevations measurements for level 2 showed the values between 41 to 42 m from mean sea level and elevations for level 4 between 42 to 45 m from mean sea level. These results indicated an increase in heads for level 2 and level 4 between 1 to 2 m when compared to elevations slope at the level 2 and level 4. The head increases surpass the elevation level of the slope area that causing water seepage at level 2 and level 4. In order to overcome this problems, the heads level need to be decrease to 1 until 2 m by using two options of sub-drain dimension size. Sub-drain with the dimension of 0.0750 m (diameter), 0.10 m (length) and using 4.90 m spacing was the best method to use as it was able to decrease the heads to the required levels of 1 to 2 m

Sistem informasi mahasiswa adalah proses bagaimana sebuah program studi dapat memberikan informasi, sehingga mahasiswa dapat secara cepat dan mudah menerima informasi dari sistem informasi mahasiswa, contohnya profil dari himpunan mahasiswa, pestasi mahasiswa dan lainnya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini telah membangun aplikasi sistem informasi mahasiswa dengan menggunakan metode waterfall. Kumpulan Data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan wawancara. Aplikasi Sistem informasi mahasiswa ini menggambarkan interaksi antara pengguna dan sistem dari aplikasi, yang setiap pengguna bebas mengakses informasi yang berbeda sesuai yang dicari. Software yang digunakan untuk membangun sistem aplikasi ini adalah digram alur data, PHP, dan MySQL sebagai databasenya. Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Mahasiswa diharapkan dapat membantu memudahkan input data mahasiswa sehingga bagian kemahasiswaan akan lebih efektif dan efisien dalam bekerja. Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Mahasiswa dapat menampilkan profil dari himpunan mahasiswa, prestasi mahasiswa dan kegiatan kemahasiswaan di program studi
