Gliotoxin Fermentation Agar (GFA) Medium and Nutrient Glucose Agar   (NGA) medium with different carbon and nitrogen sources were used to study the impact of carbon and nitrogen sources on Trichoderma harzianum Rifai and Bacillus subtillus Cohn antagonistic efficiency against growth of Botrytis allii Munn. Results indicated that Trichoderma harzianum gave the highest inhibition % in growth of Botrytis allii when Sucrose was used as a carbon source while the lowest values of inhibition% were appeared by application of Mannitol as a carbon source. Trichoderma harzianum gave the highest inhibition% in growth of B.allii when use Potassium nitrate  as a nitrogen source while the lowest values of inhibition% in growth of B.allii were obtained by application of Beef extract as a nitrogen source. Results showed also that Bacillus subtillus gave the highest inhibition% in growth of B.allii when Mannitol was used as a carbon source while the lowest values of inhibition% in growth of B.allii were appeared by application of Sucrose as a carbon source. Bacillus subtillus gave the highest inhibition% in growth of B.allii when use Glutamic acid as a nitrogen source while the lowest values of inhibition% in growth of B.allii were appeared by application of Tryptophan as a nitrogen source.

Background: Sub-endometrial junction zone (JZ) plays an important role in most of reproductive functions. Objective: To find out the effect of the sub-endometrial JZ thickness assessment by 3-D transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) on intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) outcomes in patients with unexplained recurrent implantation failure (RIF). Setting: ART Unit of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, Faculty of Medicine, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. Duration: From April 2016 to October 2018. Study Design: A prospective observational study. Methds: Fifty couples with history of unexplained RIF in previous ICSI cycles and prepared for another ICSI cycle (group I) and fifty couples with unexplained infertility prepared for ICSI for the first time (group II) had been included in this study. At time of ovum pick up, 3-DTVUS was done for all cases in both groups for assessment of sub endometrial junction zone thickness and correlated with ICSI outcome. Results:There were statistically significant differences be- tween group I and group II in JZ thickness in the 3 uterine regions (fundus, anterior and posterior walls) with p < 0.001, but there were mildly statistically significant differences between both groups in chemical and clinical preg- nancy rates with p < 0.01. Conclusions: The thickness of JZ in patients with history of unexplained RIF was higher than those with unexplained infertility scheduled for ICSI. The JZ thickness was inversely correlated with increased embryo implantation rates in ICSI procedures, the thinner the JZ thickness was associated with higher pregnancy rates (both chemical and clinical pregnancy rates)

Preparation of Low Molecular Weight Natural Polymers by gamma-Radiation and Their Growth Promoting Effect on Zea Maize Plants

Preparation of oligosaccharides from chitosan and Na-alginate were done using ?-rays and H2O2 as oxidizing agent. Structural and molecular weight changes of such oligosaccharides were determined by GPC, FT-IR and UV-Vis. spectroscopy. FT-IR and UV-Vis. studies revealed that during radiation degradation process, the main polysaccharide chain structure was almost remained. The effects of spraying 100 ppm of oligochitosan or oligoalginate or both of them with different ratios on the growth of zea maize plants showed an enhancement of plant growth performance and the productivity at the same time suggesting their possible use in agriculture purposes as growth promoters for plants

A Generalized Skew of type IV Logistic Distribution

In this paper, we derive, the probability density function (pdf) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the skew type IV generalized logistic distribution GSLD IV . The general statistical properties of the GSLD IV . such as: the moment generating function (mgf), characteristic function (ch.f), Laplace and fourier transformations are obtained in explicit form. Expressions for the nth moment, skewness and kurtosis coefficients are discussed. The mean deviation about the mean and about the median are also obtained. We consider the general case by inclusion of location and scale parameters. The results of Asgharzadeh (2013) are obtained as special cases. Graphically illustration of some results have been represented. Further we present a numerical example to illustrate some results of this paper. Keywords: skew type IV generalized logistic distribution, moment generating function, skewness, kurtosis, mean deviation

On the stability of a fractional-order differential equation with nonlocal initial condition

    Get PDF
The topic of fractional calculus (integration and differentiation of fractional-order), which concerns singular integral and integro-differential operators, is enjoying interest among mathematicians, physicists and engineers. In this work, we investigate initial value problem of fractional-order differential equation with nonlocal condition. The stability (and some other properties concerning the existence and uniqueness) of the solution will be proved

In this work, we are concerned with a nonlinear weighted Cauchy type problem of a differ-integral equation of fractional order. We will prove some local and global existence theorems for this problem, also we will study the uniqueness and stability of its solution
