Desempenho de cultivares de couve-flor de verão em Ipameri

Com o propósito de avaliar o comportamento de seis cultivares de couve-flor de verão, quanto à produção e resistência à podridão negra (Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris), instalou-se um experimento em campo, em Ipameri-GO, com o delineamento experimental em blocos completos casualizados com seis tratamentos e quatro repetições. Cada parcela experimental, de 10m², constou de 20 plantas distribuídas no espaçamento de 1,0m entre linhas e 0,5m entre plantas. Foram avaliadas as cultivares: híbridos 'Cindy', 'Sarah AF-1169', 'Sharon', 'Verona', 'Lisvera' e a variedade Piracicaba precoce. Os híbridos Verona e Sharon mostraram-se promissores para cultivo nas condições edafoclimáticas em que foram avaliados, com produtividades de 34,17 e 30,64t ha-1, respectivamente, e com moderados níveis de resistência à podridão negra. A variedade Piracicaba precoce apresentou produção inferior às dos melhores híbridos avaliados e moderada resistência à podridão negra. O híbrido Sarah não é recomendado para plantio na região de Ipameri-GO por apresentar baixa produção e baixa resistência à podridão negra.In order to evaluate the behavior of six cultivars of cauliflower summer, as production and resistance to black rot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris), installed a field experiment in Ipameri-GO, with the experimental in randomized complete blocks with six treatments and four replications. Each plot of 10m², consisting of 20 plants distributed at a spacing of 1.0m between rows and 0.5m between plants. We evaluated the cultivars: hybrids 'Cindy', 'Sarah AF-1169', 'Sharon', 'Verona', 'Lisvera' and the variety Piracicaba precoce. Hybrids Verona and Sharon proved promising for cultivation in the environmental conditions that were evaluated, with yields of 34.17 and 30.64t ha-1 respectively, and moderate levels of resistance to black rot. The variety Piracicaba precoce showed lower production of the best hybrids and moderate resistance to black rot. Learning from multimedia and hypermedia

Computer-based multimedia and hypermedia resources (e.g., the world wide web) have become one of the primary sources of academic information for a majority of pupils and students. In line with this expansion in the field of education, the scientific study of learning from multimedia and hypermedia has become a very active field of research. In this chapter we provide a short overview with regard to research on learning with multimedia and hypermedia. In two review sections, we describe the educational benefits of multiple representations and of learner control, as these are the two defining characteristics of hypermedia. In a third review section we describe recent scientific trends in the field of multimedia/hypermedia learning. In all three review sections we will point to relevant European work on multimedia/hypermedia carried out within the last 5 years, and often carried out within the Kaleidoscope Network of Excellence. According to the interdisciplinary nature of the field this work might come not only from psychology, but also from technology or pedagogy. Comparing the different research activities on multimedia and hypermedia that have dominated the international scientific discourse in the last decade reveals some important differences. Most important, a gap seems to exist between researchers mainly interested in a “serious” educational use of multimedia/ hypermedia and researchers mainly interested in “serious” experimental research on learning with multimedia/hypermedia. Recent discussions about the pros and cons of “design-based research” or “use-inspired basic research” can be seen as a direct consequence of an increasing awareness of the tensions within these two different cultures of research on education

Reação de genótipos de soja à infecção natural por ferrugem asiática

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o progresso da ferrugem asiática (Phakopsora pachyrhizi) em genótipos de soja destinados à produção de silagem, sob condições naturais de infecção. Avaliou-se a severidade da ferrugem ao longo do tempo e a capacidade combinatória de cinco cultivares e 20 progênies F3 de soja. A maior área abaixo da curva de progresso da ferrugem (AACPF) foi de 2.116, para as progênies originadas do cruzamento entre as cultivares UFVS 2003 x UFV16, e a menor de 1.307, para UFV16 x Tucunaré. Houve efeito significativo das capacidades geral e específica de combinação, para a AACPF entre os genitores e as progênies, bem como para os cruzamentos recíprocos. Esses resultados indicam que a resistência à ferrugem asiática da soja pode ser influenciada por componentes maternos
