    Stability of holonomic quantum computations

    We study the stability of holonomic quantum computations with respect to errors in assignment of control parameters. The general expression for fidelity is obtaned. In the small errors limit the simple formulae for the fidelity decrease rate is derived.Comment: 7 page

    Acceleration of charged particles by elliptic polarized waves of large amplitude

    In this paper the results of investigations on the charged particle dynamics in the homogeneous constant magnetic field and in the field of a flat wave of arbitrary intensity are presented. When the magnetic field is absent the particle trajectory is defined. It is shown, that a particle can be effectively drawn along the wave vector of the wave. Average speed of this drawing is proportional to the square of the wave force parameter. The trajectories of particles are significantly dependent on initial conditions. In the presence of constant external magnetic field the particles can be effectively accelerated by the wave field. The particle dynamics is always chaotic if the wave force parameter is enough large. This dynamic is characterized by the alternation.Викладені результаті дослідження динаміки заряджених часток у однорідному постійному магнітному полі та в полі плоскої хвилі довільної напруженості. За відсутності постійного магнітного поля вигляд траєкторії частки був визначений. Показано, що частка може ефективно захоплюватися полем зовнішньої хвилі. Середня швидкість захоплення пропорційна квадрату параметру сили хвилі. При наявності постійного магнітного поля. частки можуть ефективно прискорюватись полем хвилі. При великих напруженостях поля динаміка часток завжди хаотична. Динаміка характеризується перемежністю.Изложены результаты исследования динамики заряженных частиц в однородном постоянном магнитном поле и в поле плоской волны произвольной напряженности. В отсутствии магнитного поля определен вид траектории частиц. Показано, что частицы могут эффективно увлекаться полем внешней волны. Средняя скорость увлечения пропорциональна квадрату параметра силы волны. Вид траектории существенно зависит от начальных условий. При наличии постоянного магнитного поля частицы могут эффективно ускоряться полем волны. При больших напряженностях поля динамика частиц всегда хаотична. Динамика характеризуется перемежаемостью

    Annealing Effect on the Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of Er, Li-Codoped ZnO Films

    The effect of post deposition annealing in air on structural, electrical and optical properties of Er,Licodoped ZnO films deposited on sapphire substrate by an e-beam evaporation technique in vacuum are investigated. The structural, optical and electrical features of these films before and after short-time annealing were studied by XRD, UV-VIS-IR absorption and reflection spectroscopy, photoluminescence and resistivity measurements. Experimental results showed that there is wide absorption band in IR range, connected with defect centers, presumably OH-complex, in as-deposited films, and after annealing it is disappeared. Green and NIR photoluminescence of Er3+ ions in annealed films excited under nitrogen laser was observed. The intensity of photoluminescence is much stronger for sample with Li (0.8 %) than that with Li (0.6 %).     Nuclear multifragmentation and fission: similarity and differences

    Thermal multifragmentation of hot nuclei is interpreted as the nuclear liquid--fog phase transition deep inside the spinodal region. The experimental data for p(8.1GeV) + Au collisions are analyzed. It is concluded that the decay process of hot nuclei is characterized by two size parameters: transition state and freeze-out volumes. The similarity between dynamics of fragmentation and ordinary fission is discussed. The IMF emission time is related to the mean rupture time at the multi-scission point, which corresponds to the kinetic freeze-out configuration.Comment: 7 pages, 3 Postscript figures, Proceedings of IWM 2005, Catani

    Study of the Process e+ e- --> omega pi0 --> pi0 pi0 gamma in c.m. Energy Range 920--1380 MeV at CMD-2

    The cross section of the process e+ e- --> omega pi0 --> pi0 pi0 gamma has been measured in the c.m. energy range 920-1380 MeV with the CMD-2 detector. Its energy dependence is well described by the interference of the rho(770) and rho'(1450) mesons decaying to omega pi0. Upper limits for the cross sections of the direct processes e+ e- --> pi0 pi0 gamma, eta pi0 gamma have been set.Comment: Accepted for publication in PL

    Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays from Neutrino Emitting Acceleration Sources?

    We demonstrate by numerical flux calculations that neutrino beams producing the observed highest energy cosmic rays by weak interactions with the relic neutrino background require a non-uniform distribution of sources. Such sources have to accelerate protons at least up to 10^{23} eV, have to be opaque to their primary protons, and should emit the secondary photons unavoidably produced together with the neutrinos only in the sub-MeV region to avoid conflict with the diffuse gamma-ray background measured by the EGRET experiment. Even if such a source class exists, the resulting large uncertainties in the parameters involved in this scenario does currently not allow to extract any meaningful information on absolute neutrino masses.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures, RevTeX styl
