    The Riemann-Cartan space in the O-theory

    Full text link
    Nonrelativistic equation of particle with a spin for the Lagrangian on a nonassociative algebra is obtained. It is shown that in this model arises Riemann-Cartan space. In the case of central symmetry in addition to the pseudo-curvature appears torsion as pseudovector that interacts with the spin of the particle. An estimation of the influence of torsion on the strength of gravitational attraction in the central gravitational field is given.Comment: 12 page

    Spontaneous symmetry breaking for long-wave gravitons in the early Universe

    Full text link
    It is shown that nonlinear terms in equations of gravitons on the background of curved space-time of the expanding Universe can solve the problem of the negative square of the effective mass formally arising in linear approximation for gravitons. Similar to well known spontaneous breaking of symmetry in Goldstone model one must take another vacuum so that nonzero vacuum expectation value of the quantized graviton field leads to change of spectrum for gravitons. There appears two graviton fields, one with the positive mass, another with the zero mass. Energy density and the density of particles created by gravitation of the expanding Universe are calculated for some special cases of the scale factor. Numerical results are obtained for the dust universe case.Comment: 13 page

    Search for f1(1285)π+ππ0f_1(1285) \to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0 decay with VES detector

    The isospin violating decay f1(1285)π+ππ0f_1(1285)\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0 has been studied at VES facility. This study is based at the statistics acquired in πBe\pi^- Be interactions at 27, 36.6 and 41 GeV/c in diffractive reaction πN(f1π)N\pi^- N \to (f_1 \pi^-) N. The f1(1285)π+ππ0f_1(1285) \to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0 decay is observed. The ratio of decay probabilities BR(f1(1285)π+ππ0)BR(f_1(1285) \to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0) to BR(f1(1285)ηπ+π)BR(ηγγ)BR(f_1(1285) \to \eta \pi^+\pi^-) \cdot BR(\eta \to \gamma\gamma) is 1.4\sim\:1.4%.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figures, presented at XII Conference on Hadron Spectroscop

    The paper presents details of the fabricating technology of nanoscale mechanical resonators based on suspended silicon nanowires. The structures were made from silicon on insulator material, the thickness of the upper layer of silicon is 110 nm, the thickness of silicon oxide is 200 nm. Fabrication process contains standard CMOS compatible technologies only: Electron lithography with positive resist, reactive ion and liquid etching, electron beam deposition of thin films. The presented structures can be used as sensors of mass, displacement, acceleration, pressure with extremely high sensitivity

    The article is devoted to the study of the sociocultural phenomenon of the mosque by considering it as a place of prayer and also as a center of social life of the Muslim Ummah. The article describes the historical development of mosques as a sort of political centre for the Islamic community, as well as the transformation of the role of mosques in the life of nowadays Muslims. The authors give a brief description of the largest mosques that are located within the Middle East, the European Union and the Russian Federation, who claim the role of the center of social life of Muslims. On the example of the Volga Federal district and its capital city of Nizhny Novgorod, the authors analyzed the contribution of mosques in social and political life of the Muslim Ummah, and also gave some recommendations to solve the existing problems of mosques that interfere with the normal development and functioning of the Muslim Ummah in the region.Статья посвящена исследованию социокультурного феномена мечети посредством рассмотрения ее не только как места совершения молитвы, но и как центра общественной жизни уммы. В статье изложено историческое становление мечетей как своего рода политического центра для исламской общины, а также показана трансформация роли мечетей в жизни современного мусульманина. Дана краткая характеристика крупнейших мечетей, располагающихся на территории Ближнего Востока, Евросоюза, а также Российской Федерации, которые претендуют на роль центров общественной жизни мусульман. На примере Приволжского федерального округа и его столицы — Нижнего Новгорода — авторы проанализировали вклад мечетей в общественно-политическую жизнь уммы, а также дали некоторые рекомендации для решения существующих проблем мечетей, которые препятствуют нормальному развитию и функционированию мусульманской общины региона

    Nanoscale Real-Time Detection of Quantum Vortices at Millikelvin Temperatures

    Since we still lack a theory of classical turbulence, attention has focused on the conceptually simpler turbulence in quantum fluids. Can such systems of identical singly-quantized vortices provide a physically accessible "toy model" of the classical counterpart? That said, we have hitherto lacked detectors capable of the real-time, non-invasive probing of the wide range of length scales involved in quantum turbulence. However, we demonstrate here the real-time detection of quantum vortices by a nanoscale resonant beam in superfluid 4^4He at 10 mK. The basic idea is that we can trap a single vortex along the length of a nanobeam and observe the transitions as a vortex is either trapped or released, which we observe through the shift in the resonant frequency of the beam. With a tuning fork source, we can control the ambient vorticity density and follow its influence on the vortex capture and release rates. But, most important, we show that these devices are capable of probing turbulence on the micron scale

    An observation of the f0(1710)f_0(1710) meson in the ωϕ\omega\phi system in the Pion-BeBe Interaction at Momentum of 29 GeV

    The charge-exchange reaction πpnω(783)ϕ(1020)\pi^-p \rightarrow n\,\omega(783)\phi(1020), ωπ+ππ0\omega \rightarrow \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0, ϕK+K\phi \rightarrow K^+K^- is studied with the upgraded VES facility (U-70, Protvino) in the interaction of a 29 GeV pion beam with a beryllium target. The distribution over the invariant mass of the system MωϕM_{\omega\phi} shows a near-threshold signal. A partial wave analysis reveals that the scalar state (JPC=0++J^{PC}=0^{++}) dominates in this mass region. The observed signal can be described with a contribution of the known resonance f0(1710)f_0(1710). Using OPE approximation for the reaction πpnf0(1710)\pi^-p \rightarrow n\, f_0(1710) the product of branching fractions is found to be: Br(f0(1710)ππ)Br(f0(1710)ωϕ)=(4.8±1.2)103Br(f_0(1710)\rightarrow \pi\pi)\cdot Br(f_0(1710)\rightarrow \omega\phi) = (4.8 \pm 1.2) \cdot 10^{-3}
