Wick ordering for coherent state quantization in 1+1 de Sitter space

We show that the coherent state quantization of massive particles in 1+1 de Sitter space exhibits an ordering property: There exist some classical observables AA and A∗A^* such that OA∗pOAq=OA∗pAqO_{A^{*p}}O_{A^q}=O_{A^{*p} A^q} p,q∈Zp, q \in \Z, where OAO_A is the quantum observable corresponding to the classical observable AA.Comment: Accepted in Phys. Lett.

Quantum physics of an elementary system in de Sitter space

We present the coherent states of a scalar massive particle on 1+3-de Sitter space. These states are vectors in Hilbert space, and they are labeled by points in the associated phase space. To do this, we use the fact that the phase space of a scalar massive particle on 1+3-de Sitter space is a cotangent bundle “T ∗(S 3)” which is isomorphic with the complex sphere “SC3S_{\mathbb{C}}^{3}”. Then by using the heat kernel on “SC3S_{\mathbb{C}}^{3}” that was presented by Hall–Mitchell, we construct our coherent states. At the end, by these states we quantize the classical kinetic energy on de Sitter space

Discriminating between optical coherent superposition states with imperfect detection

    No full text
Quantum state discrimination between optical coherent superposition states is considered. The Helstrom bound for imperfect detection is evaluated. Under a physically realistic model of photodetection, we study several techniques for discriminating between optical coherent superposition states. We investigate quantum error probabilities for the Kennedy receiver, the Dolinar receiver and the unitary rotation scheme proposed by Sasaki and Hirota for sub-unity detector efficiency. Also, we study the feedback strategy employed by the Dolinar receiver to achieve the Helstrom bound for sub-unity detection efficiency

The Effect of the Translator's Gender Ideology on Translating Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights

    No full text
Abstract The present study examines the effect of gender ideology of the translators on two Persian translations of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. The findings reveal that although both translations have many similar features in respect to some maxims of translation, in both of them gender ideology of the translator is a key figure in translating the gender related items/parts of the source text, as each translator uses his/her own gender ideology in the interpretation and transformation of the SL text into TL

Computational, Kinetics, and Corrosion Protection Aspects of Electrodeposited Poly(Salicylic Acid) Coatings as a Corrosion Inhibitor for Mild Steel

    No full text
Poly(salicylic acid) PSA has been electrochemically deposited onto a Pt electrode. The kinetics of the polymerization reaction has been studied. The polymer structure was confirmed and characterized using IR spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, and TGA analysis. The deposited PSA was then collected from the Pt surface and tested as a corrosion inhibitor for a mild steel electrode in an aqueous medium of 1 M sulfuric acid. The corrosion behavior was then evaluated using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Corrosion measurements showed that the inhibition efficiency of 20, 50, and 100 ppm of PSA was 33, 57, and 74%, respectively. The inhibition mechanism was proved using adsorption isotherms as well as quantum calculations. The inhibition of the corrosion process was due to the adsorption of PSA on the steel surface, which was found to comply with the Langmuir adsorption isotherm
