Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum of 31P donors in silicon quantum computer
The influence of the electric field created by a gate potential of the
silicon quantum computer on the hyperfine interaction constant (HIC) is
obtained. The errors due to technological inaccuracy of location of donor atoms
under a gate are evaluated. The energy spectra of electron-nuclear spin system
of two interacting donor atoms with various values of HIC are calculated. The
presence of two pairs of anticrossing levels in the ground electronic state is
shown. Parameters of the structure at which errors rate can be greatly
minimized are found.Comment: 12 pages,, 3 figure
THE STRUCTURE OF PATIENTS REFERRED TO THE DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTIC DEPARTMENT OF TB DISPENSARY
Goal of the study: to investigate the structure of patients referred with the suspicion of tuberculosis to the differential diagnostics department of TB dispensary.Materials and methods. The analysis included investigation of medical documents of 990 patients admitted to the hospital in 2012-2014 with the suspicion of tuberculosis to the diagnostic department of TB dispensary.Results. No active tuberculosis had been confirmed in 506 (51.1%) patients out of 990. Out of those patients 29.4% of cases had pneumonia or other inflammatory disease, in 18.9% – post-tuberculous changes, 12.7% – lung cancer, 6.5% – respiratory tuberculosis. The time of diagnosis for each nosology without invasive methods of sample obtaining was analyzed
Effect of heat treatment on structural and phase transformations in the Ti49.5Ni50.5 alloy amorphized by high-pressure torsion
Results are presented for a study of the structural and phase transformations that occur in the titanium-nickelide shape-memory alloy Ti 49.5Ni50.5 subjected to heat treatment after deformation-induced amorphization by megaplastic high-pressure torsion (HPT) using five or ten revolutions of Bridgman anvils. The investigations were performed using transmission and scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and measurements of the temperature dependences of electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility. It has been established that the crystallization of the alloy already occurs upon low-temperature treatment, beginning with ∼500 K. The evolution of the structure and the stage character of the development of crystallization and recrystallization processes depending on temperature have been determined. It has been shown that the annealing of the amorphized alloy makes it possible to obtain highly homogeneous nanostructured, submicrocrystalline, or bimodal states in the B2 austenite. A complete diagram of thermoelastic martensitic transformations of the B2 austenite has been constructed in the region from a nanostructured to a conventional polycrystalline state (with a grain size of 20-50 μm). The effect of size on the stabilization of austenite has been revealed and its specific features have been studied for the B2 → R and B2(R) → B19′ martensitic transformations depending on the structural state of the alloy. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd
Photon recycling in Fabry-Perot micro-cavities based on SiN waveguides
We present a numerical analysis and preliminary experimental results on
one-dimensional Fabry-Perot micro-cavities in SiN waveguides. The
Fabry-Perot micro-cavities are formed by two distributed Bragg reflectors
separated by a straight portion of waveguide. The Bragg reflectors are composed
by a few air slits produced within the SiN waveguides. In order to
increase the quality factor of the micro-cavities, we have minimized, with a
multiparametric optimization tool, the insertion loss of the reflectors by
varying the length of their first periods (those facing the cavity). To explain
the simulation results the coupling of the fundamental waveguide mode with
radiative modes in the Fabry-Perot micro-cavities is needed. This effect is
described as a recycling of radiative modes in the waveguide. To support the
modelling, preliminary experimental results of micro-cavities in SiN
waveguides realized with Focused Ion Beam technique are reported.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figure
Scanning Probe Microscopy of Elastomers with Mineral Fillers
The results of a comprehensive study of the newly synthesized elastomeric composites filled with micro- and nanoscale modified shungite and also taurit, diatomit, and neosyl fillers are presented. The surface structure study of the prepared composites was conducted using scanning probe microscopy. The use of microscopy allowed visualization of the distribution patterns of filler aggregates and agglomerates in composites. The morphology and micro-nanometer size ranges of these aggregates in the synthesized materials are determined. The proposed method of grinding shungite, taurit, diatomit, and neosyl fillers allows significantly increasing the strength characteristics of these composites. The correlation between the reinforcement of the elastic-strength properties and the distribution of the used fillers in the rubber matrix was established
Restorative minimally invasive interventions in patients with colostomy
Aim. To show the benefits of performing mini-access restorative phase on the colon in patients with colostomy.
Methods. A retrospective analysis of the results of closure stomy operations in 2011-2017 in two emergency cancer departments of Republican Clinical Oncology Center MH RT was conducted. The inclusion criteria of the study were: 1) surgical intervention for acute intestinal obstruction in colorectal cancer performed in RCOC; 2) mandatory removal of the primary tumor during the first surgery; 3) the presence of a functioning intestinal stoma formed during the first surgery; 4) fixation of both stumps in one stoma. The exclusion criteria were refusal to restore the continuity of the colon for medical indications and the patient's refusal to undergo the surgery.
Results. The study included 11 males (44 %) and 14 females (56 %). The age interval was 49 to 81 years, of which 12 patients were over 70 years old (48 %), the average age was 67.7 ± 5.4 years. The tumor removed at the first stage was localized in the right parts of the colon in 5 patients (20 %), and in the left in 20 patients (80 %). By the stages of the malignant process, the patients were distributed as follows: stage B - 14 cases (56 %), stage C - 10 (40 %), stage D - 1 (4 %). The average duration of the surgery was 53 ± 14.38 minutes (40 to 123). The postoperative period was 10.8 ± 1.92 days on average (5 to 18).
Conclusion. Restoration of intestinal continuity through mini-paracolostomy access is technically rational, as due to the mini-access the patient undergoes minor surgical trauma; the anatomical proximity of the anastomosed bowel stumps excludes the difficulties associated with the search for the distal stump in the traditional method of recovery; the duration of the postoperative hospital stay decreases significantly
