Cotton fibre humidification at cotton ginneries
A novel humidifier has been designed and developed forimproving the quality of cotton lint, by providing more efficientand qualitative humidification of cotton lint before pressing.Existing methods of cotton lint humidification have not beenfound effective enough, do not provide required increase inmoisture content and have technological and structuraldisadvantages. The proposed humidifier ensures the gain ofmoisture content up to 1.6 % and its high uniformity
Express-analysis of Phase Composition of SHS Products
The first results of express identification of phase formation in the course of selfpropagating high-temperature synthesis are presented. The proposed method does not replace the metallographic analysis. In the basis of the express method, the hypothesis about the integral picture of combustion formed during the reaction is anindividual ”image” of the process inherent in a particular system. The formation of the ”image” is affected by the physical and chemical processes that are taking place. The results of the correlation analysis of the surface images of synthesized materials (FeOAl-TiC, Al-C-Cr2O3 -CrO3, Nb2O5 -Ti) and photographs of their sections are presented. The method can become an additional tool for analyzing the relationship between the combustion regime and the properties of the resulting material.

Method of Differential Chronoscopy of Unstable Regimes of Combustion Wave Distribution
In this paper, mathematical methods for processing a video signal of a high-speed television measuring system are considered. They allow us to determine the unstable combustion regimes in the technology of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS). The registration of the propagation of the SAF combustion wave was carried out using an optoelectronic micro-pyrometry complex of nanosecond resolutionbased on the super high-speed television camera ”Video SprintNG”. The result of the 2D visualization of the heat transfer velocity of the SHS wave was obtained by interpreting the difference in the coordinates of the wave front along the entire series of thermal imaging video frames, and indicates that the structure of the DCS is more ordered in time and allows one to judge the spatial and temporal ”coherence” of the SHS wave. To detect the transient modes of SHS, the method of pattern recognition based on the Trace transform was used.
