Ultrashort pulsed UV lasers based on the Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 and LiLuYF4:Ce3+ crystals

Here we report on UV laser oscillation on colquiriite structure fluoride mixture crystals of Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 (Ce:LiCAF) and Ce3+:LiLuYF4 (Ce:LiLuYF) active media. We report on 800 ps pulse train lasing form Ce:LiCAF in composite cavity and single pulse lasing of 400 ps duration from Ce:LiLuYF in convenient Fabri-Perrot cavity and discuss conditions of pulse shortening in UV active medium by photodynamic processes

The objectives of this paper are experimental studies of pump-induced effects in LiCaAlF6: Ce3+ single crystals and computer model elaboration and appropriated software package engineering. The elaborated experimental technique and software allow either to calculate the nonlinear absorption/gain characteristics of the active medium on the basis of known parameters, or to find its previously unknown parameters from pump-probe experimental dependences

Pump-probe studies of absorption saturation and optical gain in Ce:LiCaAlF6 ultraviolet active medium

Aim of this work was to investigate nonlinear absorption of pump radiation in UV spectral range of Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 crystalline active medium. We were able to evaluate excited state absorption cross-section at pump wavelength (266 nm) and recombination probabilities by means of computer simulation. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

Specifics of cerebral haemodynamics in patients with the hemispheric ischemic stroke

Ап inspection is conducted 112 patients with hemispheric ischemic stroke (IS) in age from 40 to 84 years, part on the degree of expressed of neurological deficit in obedience to the Scandinavian scale (35,7+8,1) - 1 group (54), (53,8+4,2 points) is II a group (58). The comparative analysis of neurological deficit is given, level neuron - specific enolase (NSE) in blood, hemodynamic indexes, character of atherosclerotic name-plates. We compared the hemodynamic features of carotid and vertebrobasilar region. Dependence is exposed between expressed of neurological defect, degree of damage of fabric of brain, characterized by the change of level of NSE and degree of disturbances of hemodynamic. The highest degree of severity of neurological symptoms of hemispheric IS was observed in significant concomitant carotid lesions and vertebrobasilar region extravasal compression of vertebral arteries dynamic nature, combined with little hemodynamically significant carotid stenosis predominated in patients with hemispheric IS with a lesser degree of ischemic damage and neurological deficits. Character of atherosclerotic name-plates reflected pathogenic of ischemic stroke.Проведено клиническое и ультразвуковое дуплексное обследование 112 пациентов с атеротромботическим подтипом полушарного ишемического инсульта (ИИ) в возрасте от 40 до 84 лет, разделенных по степени выраженности неврологического дефицита согласно скандинавской шкале (35,7+8,1) - 1 группа (54); (53,8+4,2 баллов) - II группа (58). У пациентов обеих групп дан сравнительный анализ неврологического дефицита, уровня нейрон - специфической енолазы (НСЕ) в крови, гемодинамических показателей, характера атеросклеротических бляшек, особенностей гемодинамики в каротидном и вертебро-базилярном бассейнах. Установлена зависимость между выраженностью неврологического дефекта, повышением уровня НСЕ и степенью нарушения гемодинамики. Наибольшая степень тяжести неврологической симптоматики полушарного ИИ наблюдалась при значимом сочетанном поражении каротидного и вертебробазилярного бассейнов, экстравазальная компрессия позвоночных артерий динамического характера в сочетании с гемодинамически значимыми (65-70%) стенозами сонных артерий преобладала у больных ИИ с меньшей степенью ишемического поражения и неврологического дефицита. Характер атеросклеротических бляшек отражал патогенез ишемического инсульта

Локальная инъекционная терапия в комплексном лечении болезней костно-мышечной системы: основные принципы использования, доказательная база, безопасность

Local injection therapy (LIT)  is an important component of the complex treatment of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), which is widely used in real clinical practice. Glucocorticoids, hyaluronic acid drugs (HA), autologous cell drugs, botulinum toxin type A, radioactive isotopes, etc. are used for LIT.  LIT makes it possible to achieve a pronounced symptomatic effect, while in some cases, for example, repeated HA treatments in patients with osteoarthritis, the possibility of slowing the progression of the disease and reducing the need for surgical treatment is discussed.The performance of LIT requires special skills and abilities of the physician, careful compliance with the rules of asepsis and antisepsis, and instrumental visualization. LIT can be associated with serious complications and therefore must be performed according to strict indications.The Expert Council was devoted to defining the basic principles of LIT. The indications for the use of certain types of this therapies, the evidence base for its efficacy and safety, the order of application of different drugs, and the need to combine LIT with other drug and non-drug treatments of MSD were reviewed.Локальная инъекционная терапия (ЛИТ)  – важная составляющая комплексного лечения болезней костно-мышечной системы (БКМС), широко используемая в реальной клинической практике. Для ЛИТ применяются глюкокортикоиды, препараты гиалуроновой кислоты (ГлК), аутологичные клеточные препараты, ботулинический токсин типа А, радиоактивные изотопы и др. ЛИТ позволяет добиться выраженного симптоматического эффекта, при этом в ряде случаев, например при проведении повторных курсов лечения ГлК у пациентов с остеоартритом, обсуждается возможность замедления прогрессирования заболевания и снижения потребности в хирургическом лечении.Проведение ЛИТ требует специальной компетенции и навыков врача, тщательного соблюдения правил асептики и антисептики, инструментальной визуализации.  ЛИТ  может быть сопряжена с серьезными осложнениями, поэтому должна выполняться по строгим показаниям.Совет экспертов был посвящен определению основных принципов ЛИТ. Были рассмотрены показания для применения тех или иных видов данной терапии,  доказательная база ее эффективности и безопасности, последовательность использования различных препаратов, а также необходимость комбинации ЛИТ с другими медикаментозными и немедикаментозными методами лечения БКМС
