Study of the system in the mass range up to 1200 MeV
The reaction has been studied with GAMS-2000
spectrometer in the secondary 38 GeV/c -beam of the IHEP U-70
accelerator. Partial wave analysis of the reaction has been performed in the
mass range up to 1200 MeV. The -meson is seen as a sharp
peak in S-wave. The -dependence of production cross section has
been studied. Dominant production of the at a small transfer
momentum confirms the hypothesis of Achasov and Shestakov about significant
contribution of the exchange () in the mechanism
of meson production in -channel of the reaction.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, talk given at HADRON'9
Performance of the Electromagnetic Calorimeter of the HERMES Experiment
The performance of the electromagnetic calorimeter of the HERMES experiment
is described. The calorimeter consists of 840 radiation resistant F101
lead-glass counters. The response to positrons up to 27.5 GeV, the comparison
between the measured energy and the momentum reconstructed from tracking,
long-term stability, hadron rejection and neutral meson invariant mass
reconstruction are shown.Comment: 22 pages, 13 figures, LaTeX, accepted by NI
Measurement of the decay form factors in the OKA experiment
A precise measurement of the vector and axial-vector form factors difference
in the decay is presented.
About 95K events of are selected in
the OKA experiment. The result is .
Both errors are smaller than in the previous measurements.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure
Implementation and performance of the Detector Control System for the electromagnetic calorimeter of the CMS experiment
In this presentation we describe the main design objectives, the detailed specifications and the final layout of the Detector Control System (DCS) for the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the CMS experiment. Emphasis is put on the system implementation and specific hardware and software solutions in each of its sub-systems. The latest results from the tests of final prototypes of these subsystems during the 2006 ECAL test-beam programme, as well as the installation and commissioning of the whole DCS at the CMS experimental construction site are discussed
Experimental study of direct photon emission in K- --> pi- pi0 gamma decay using ISTRA+ detector
The branching ratio in the charged-pion kinetic energy region of 55 to 90 MeV
for the direct photon emission in the K- --> pi- pi0 gamma decay has been
measured using in-flight decays detected with the ISTRA+ setup operating in the
25 GeV/c negative secondary beam of the U-70 PS. The value
Br(DE)=[0.37+-0.39(stat)+-0.10(syst)]*10^(-5) obtained from the analysis of 930
completely reconstructed events is consistent with the average value of two
stopped-kaon experiments, but it differs by 2.5 standard deviations from the
average value of three in-flight-kaon experiments. The result is also compared
with recent theoretical predictions.Comment: 13 pages, 8 figure
A study of the centrally produced baryon-antibaryon systems in pp interactions at 450 GeV/c
A study of the centrally produced ppbar, ppbarpi, ppbarpipi and lambda lambda
channels has been performed in pp collisions using an incident beam momentum of
450 GeV/c. No significant new structures are observed in the mass spectra,
however, important new information on the production dynamics is obtained. A
systematic study of the production properties of these systems has been
performed and it is found that these systems are not produced dominantly by
double Pomeron exchange.Comment: 13 pages, Latex, 4 Figure
A measurement of the branching fractions of the f1(1285) and f1(1420) produced in central pp interactions at 450 GeV/c
A study of the f1(1285) and f1(1420) produced in central pp interactions has
been performed. For the first time in a single experiment the branching
fractions of both mesons in all major decay modes have been determined. Both
the f1(1285) and f1(1420) are consistent with being produced by double Pomeron
exchange.Comment: 15 pages, Latex, 5 Figures, submitted to Physics Letters
A study of the centrally produced phiphi system in pp interactions at 450 GeV/c
The reaction pp to pfps(K+K-K+K-) in which the K+K-K+K- system is centrally
produced has been studied at 450 GeV/c. Phi phi production has been found to
dominate this reaction and is compatible with being produced by double Pomeron
exchange. An angular analysis of the phi phi system favours JPC = 2++ and its
dPT dependence is similar to that observed for glueball candidates.Comment: 11 pages, Latex, 4 Figure
