    Using corrugation stitch in submammary fold at the reconstructive breast surgery

    The aim of the research was to develop a new technique for suturing the surgical incision in submammary area after subpectoral reconstructive breast surgery with good cosmetic result. Clinical observation group included 10 patients. It was found that the new technique of suturing the surgical incision, in comparison with the method offered by M.B. Calobrace et al. (2014), allows to decrease the duration of suturing from 6 min 10 ± 0.06 sec down to 5 min 29 ± 0.04 sec (р < 0.01), to reduce number of stitches from 24 down to 15, to shorten postoperative stitch from 4.24 ± 0.06 cm down to 3.71 ± 0.07 cm (р < 0.01), and to shorten cicatrix length in 1 year after the operation from 4.78 ± 0.19 cm down to 4.25 ± 0.22 cm (р < 0.05). Therefore, the developed technique of suturing the surgical wound provides the location of postoperative cicatrix in the area of submammary fold which makes it less noticeable. Moreover, it allows to shorten the length of postoperative cicatrix, decrease the duration of the surgery and to secure adequate stability of implant fixation

    Dynamic Coupling Between Links Of Articulated Transport Systems

    The issues of improving the operational properties of transport systems are considered. Various ways to improve productivity, economic and environmental performance, operational reliability, as well as improve and automate the transport system controls are shown. One of the most important issues in the theory of movement, i.e., the effective distribution of the power flow between the drive axles and sections is considered. The coupling between the transport system links is estimated. The coupling between the links of active articulated multi-section machines has been analyzed based on various variants of the kinematic misalignment in the drive. The state graph of a two-section active articulated transport and production machine is considered. The coupling between the links of the articulated transport system is considered and formalized for the pole trailer supported simultaneously by two or more machine sections.     Genomic sequencing and biological characteristics of a novel Escherichia Coli bacteriophage 9g, a putative representative of a new siphoviridae genus

    © 2014 by the authors; licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland. Bacteriophage 9g was isolated from horse feces using Escherichia coli C600 as a host strain. Phage 9g has a slightly elongated capsid 62 × 76 nm in diameter and a non-contractile tail about 185 nm long. The complete genome sequence of this bacteriophage consists of 56,703 bp encoding 70 predicted open reading frames. The closest relative of phage 9g is phage PhiJL001 infecting marine alpha-proteobacterium associated with Ircinia strobilina sponge, sharing with phage 9g 51% of amino acid identity in the main capsid protein sequence. The DNA of 9g is resistant to most restriction endonucleases tested, indicating the presence of hypermodified bases. The gene cluster encoding a biosynthesis pathway similar to biosynthesis of the unusual nucleoside queuosine was detected in the phage 9g genome. The genomic map organization is somewhat similar to the typical temperate phage gene layout but no integrase gene was detected. Phage 9g efficiently forms stable associations with its host that continues to produce the phage over multiple passages, but the phage can be easily eliminated via viricide treatment indicating that no true lysogens are formed. Since the sequence, genomic organization and biological properties of bacteriophage 9g are clearly distinct from other known Enterobacteriaceae phages, we propose to consider it as the representative of a novel genus of the Siphoviridae family

    We analyzed the results of treatment of 110 patients who had. cystectomy with, different types of urinary diversion. In the early postoperative period next complications occurred: prolonged intestinal paresis, dynamic ileus, thrombosis of the external iliac artery failure of intestinal anastomosis and the uretero-reservoir anastomosis, lymphocele formation, exacerbation of chronic pyelonephritis. In the late postoperative major complications were: urinary incontinence, stricture of the uretero-reservoir anastomosis, bladder stone formation.     Hybrid interventions on aorto-iliac segment and arteries of lower limbs

Material and methods: The following hybrid procedures were performed in our department: 34 interventions on aorto-iliac segment (iliac arteries stenting combined with reconstruction of deep femoral artery – 16 cases, loop-endarterectomy from external iliac artery combined with iliac arteries stenting – 18 cases); 25 interventions on femoral-popliteal segment (loop-endarterectomy from superficial femoral artery – 15 cases, iliac stenting combined with loop-endarterectomy from superficial femoral artery – 7 cases, above-knee femoral-popliteal bypass combined with popliteal artery stenting – 3 cases); and 21 interventions on popliteal-tibial segment (loopendarterectomy from popliteal artery with angioplasty of tibial arteries – 8 cases, femoral-peroneal bypass combined with angioplasty of tibial arteries – 13 cases). Completion angiography was routinely performed in all patients for quality control of revascularization. Chronic ischemia grade II Fontaine was diagnosed preoperatively in 19 (23,75%) patients, grade III - in 40 (50%) and grade IV – in 21 (26,25%) patients. Results: Complete regression of ischemic pain, initial signs of healing of superficial defects of soft tissues as well as primary healing of wounds after debridement of necrotic lesions were observed in the postoperative period. Mean duration of hospital stay was 7 days. Conclusion: Thus, implementation of hybrid procedures contributes to the reduction of the volume of open vascular reconstructions. Hybrid interventions represent the optimal approach for treatment of occlusive lesions of aorto-iliac segment and arteries of lower limbs

    Получение многокомпонентных покрытий стабильного состава для экранов электромагнитного излучения

    The formation processes of coatings of Cu–Ni and Ag–Cu systems with a stable elemental composition by the method of electron-beam evaporation are considered. It is shown that in the zone of action of the electron beam on the ingot placed in the crucible at the total vapor pressure of the alloy elements Σp above the pressure under the cap of the installation, the melt boils, and in the outer zone adjacent to the melt zone, the process of sublimation of the hard alloy occurs. The microrelief and elemental composition of the surface layer of the Cu–Ni alloy ingot in the zones of evaporation and sublimation, as well as the elemental composition of the coatings deposited in this case, have been studied. It is shown that the most acceptable way to obtain coatings of the Cu–Ni system with a stable elemental composition is the simultaneous electron-beam evaporation of copper and nickel from two crucibles. The azeotropic composition of the alloy of the Ag–Cu system was calculated and experimentally verified. The research results are used in the manufacture of multilayered screens of electromagnetic radiation.Рассмотрены процессы формирования покрытий систем Cu–Ni и Ag–Cu стабильного элементного состава методом электронно-лучевого испарения. Показано, что в зоне воздействия электронного луча на помещенный в тигель слиток при суммарном давлении паров элементов сплава Σp больше давления под колпаком установки происходит кипение расплава, а в примыкающей к зоне расплава наружной зоне идет процесс сублимации твердого сплава. Исследованы микрорельеф и элементный состав поверхностного слоя слитка сплава Cu–Ni в зонах испарения и сублимации, а также элементный состав осаждаемых при этом покрытий. Показано, что наиболее приемлемым способом получения покрытий системы Cu–Ni стабильного элементного состава является одновременное электронно-лучевое испарение меди и никеля из двух тиглей. Рассчитан и экспериментально проверен азеотропный состав сплава системы Ag–Cu. Результаты исследований использованы при изготовлении многослойных экранов электромагнитного излучения

    The processes of formation of films of alloys of the Cr–Ni, Cr–Ni–Si and Fe–Ni systems with a stab le elemental composition by evaporation methods are considered. It is shown that due to the large difference in the melting temperatures of Ni and Cr, nichrome films are obtained by sublimation. The design of the evaporator is proposed, which makes it possible to stabilize the composition of the films. Calculations of azeotropic compositions of alloys of the Cr–Ni–Si system have been carried out. The position of the isobars of the total pressure of iron and nickel on the state diagram was determined during evaporation in vacuum. The azeotropic composition of the alloy of the Fe–Ni system was calculated and experimentally verified.Рассмотрены процессы формирования пленок сплавов систем Cr–Ni, Cr–Ni–Si и Fe–Ni стабильного элементного состава методами испарения. Показано, что из-за большой разницы в температурах плавления Ni и Cr пленки нихрома получают методом сублимации. Предложена конструкция испарителя, позволяющая стабилизировать состав пленок. Проведены расчеты азеотропных составов сплавов системы Cr–Ni–Si. Определено положение изобар суммарного давления железа и никеля на диаграмме состояния, при испарении в вакууме.
