Perancangan Media Promosi Dilon Coffee & Eatery dengan Teknik Hand Lettering sebagai Upaya Mengenalkan Kepada Masyarakat
The purpose of designing a media campaign Dilon coffee & eatery This is to introduce to the public. The research was conducted using qualitative research method is to conduct interviews, observation, documentation, and literature to get the data used to support the drafting of a media campaign design. Data were analyzed using multiple stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. From the data analysis found some keywords that refer to promotional media communication strategy that will be used to achieve the target audiance ditujuh. After analysis of the data, ditemukanlah concept or keyword designing a media campaign called "casual". Description casual concept is the simplicity that can be used by anyone. The concept of "casual" aims to show that the Dilon coffee & eatery is a café that has an appeal that is different from the others. The concept aims to convey casual café identity through the design of promotional media.
Computer simulation clarifies mechanisms of carbon dioxide clearance during apnoea
BackgroundApnoeic oxygenation can come close to matching the oxygen demands of the apnoeic patient but does not facilitate carbon dioxide (CO2) elimination, potentially resulting in dangerous hypercapnia. Numerous studies have shown that high-flow nasal oxygen administration prevents hypoxaemia, and appears to reduce the rate of increase of arterial CO2 partial pressure (PaCO2), but evidence is lacking to explain these effects.MethodsWe extended a high-fidelity computational simulation of cardiopulmonary physiology to include modules allowing variable effects of: (a) cardiogenic oscillations affecting intrathoracic gas spaces, (b) gas mixing within the anatomical dead space, (c) insufflation into the trachea or above the glottis, and (d) pharyngeal pressure oscillation. We validated this model by reproducing the methods and results of five clinical studies on apnoeic oxygenation.ResultsSimulated outputs best matched clinical data for model selection of parameters reflecting: (a) significant effects of cardiogenic oscillations on alveoli, both in terms of strength of the effect (4.5 cm H2O) and percentage of alveoli affected (60%), (b) augmented gas mixing within the anatomical dead space, and (c) pharyngeal pressure oscillations between 0 and 2 cm H2O at 70 Hz.ConclusionsCardiogenic oscillations, dead space gas mixing, and micro-ventilation induced by pharyngeal pressure variations appear to be important mechanisms that combine to facilitate the clearance of CO2 during apnoea. Evolution of high-flow oxygen insufflation devices should take advantage of these insights, potentially improving apnoeic gas exchange
Quantum tunneling dynamics of an interacting Bose-Einstein condensate through a Gaussian barrier
The transmission of an interacting Bose-Einstein condensate incident on a
repulsive Gaussian barrier is investigated through numerical simulation. The
dynamics associated with interatomic interactions are studied across a broad
parameter range not previously explored. Effective 1D Gross-Pitaevskii equation
(GPE) simulations are compared to classical Boltzmann-Vlasov equation (BVE)
simulations in order to isolate purely coherent matterwave effects. Quantum
tunneling is then defined as the portion of the GPE transmission not described
by the classical BVE. An exponential dependence of transmission on barrier
height is observed in the purely classical simulation, suggesting that
observing such exponential dependence is not a sufficient condition for quantum
tunneling. Furthermore, the transmission is found to be predominately described
by classical effects, although interatomic interactions are shown to modify the
magnitude of the quantum tunneling. Interactions are also seen to affect the
amount of classical transmission, producing transmission in regions where the
non-interacting equivalent has none. This theoretical investigation clarifies
the contribution quantum tunneling makes to overall transmission in
many-particle interacting systems, potentially informing future tunneling
experiments with ultracold atoms.Comment: Close to the published versio

The Increasing Role of Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty in the Primary Management of Critical Limb Ischaemia
AbstractObjective: to review the current role and results of angioplasty in the management of critical limb ischaemia (CLI) in a single institution.Methods: data on 526 patients with 608 ischaemic limbs, treated between January 1994 and December 1999 was collected prospectively and analysed retrospectively. Patients were divided into 3 groups according to the date of presentation: group 1 (1994–95), group 2 (1996–97) and group 3 (1998–99). The groups were comparable in terms of demographics, mode of presentation and level of disease.Results: Revascularisation was attempted in 87%, 81% and 91% for groups 1, 2 and 3 respectively (NS). Primary percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) rates increased from 44% (1994–95) to 69% (1998–99) (p < 0.001), and surgical revascularisation rates decreased correspondingly (p<0.01). Overall cumulative patient survival and limb salvage rates were 82% and 89% for 1 year and 45% and 87% for 5 years, respectively. No statistically significant difference existed between the three groups regarding patient survival, limb salvage rates and mean hospital stay (19, 12 and 12 days, respectively).Conclusion: PTA is increasingly replacing bypass surgery in the treatment of CLI, without compromising patient survival or limb salvage rates
Characterization of designed, synthetically accessible bryostatin analog HIV latency reversing agents.
HIV latency in resting CD4+ T cell represents a key barrier preventing cure of the infection with antiretroviral drugs alone. Latency reversing agents (LRAs) can activate HIV expression in latently infected cells, potentially leading to their elimination through virus-mediated cytopathic effects, host immune responses, and/or therapeutic strategies targeting cells actively expressing virus. We have recently described several structurally simplified analogs of the PKC modulator LRA bryostatin (termed bryologs) designed to improve synthetic accessibility, tolerability in vivo, and efficacy in inducing HIV latency reversal. Here we report the comparative performance of lead bryologs, including their effects in reducing cell surface expression of HIV entry receptors, inducing proinflammatory cytokines, inhibiting short-term HIV replication, and synergizing with histone deacetylase inhibitors to reverse HIV latency. These data provide unique insights into structure-function relationships between A- and B-ring bryolog modifications and activities in primary cells, and suggest that bryologs represent promising leads for preclinical advancement
A statistical analysis of murine incisional and excisional acute wound models
YesMice represent the most commonly used species for preclinical in vivo research. While incisional and excisional acute murine wound models are both frequently employed, there is little agreement on which model is optimum. Moreover, current lack of standardization of wounding procedure, analysis time point(s), method of assessment, and the use of individual wounds vs. individual animals as replicates makes it difficult to compare across studies. Here we have profiled secondary intention healing of incisional and excisional wounds within the same animal, assessing multiple parameters to determine the optimal methodology for future studies. We report that histology provides the least variable assessment of healing. Furthermore, histology alone (not planimetry) is able to detect accelerated healing in a castrated mouse model. Perhaps most importantly, we find virtually no correlation between wounds within the same animal, suggesting that use of wound (not animal) biological replicates is perfectly acceptable. Overall, these findings should guide and refine future studies, increasing the likelihood of detecting novel phenotypes while reducing the numbers of animals required for experimentation
