Dividend Payout Ratio: Factors That Affect IT, and Subsequent Earning Growth

This paper is to investigate the determinants of the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) of Indonesian firms. Five factors (maturity, cash availability, leverage, profitability, firm size) are analyzed as the DPR determinants. Additionally, this thesis also examines the ability of DPR to serve as a signal subsequent year's earnings growth. Multiple regression models is used in this paper to analyze research sample that consists of 180 firms that are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and paid dividends during 2003-2008. The results shows that cash availability and maturity are significant determinants of DPR. Further analysis shows that the DPR signals subsequent earnings growth, the result concludes that mature firms has high dividend payment ratio, which supports firm lifecycle theory. High DPR results in high subsequent earnings growth, which supports Black's (1976) claim that DPR carries information on future growth

Implementasi Steganografi Dengan Metode End of File Pada Teks Yang Terenkripsi Menggunakan Block Cipher Rivest Code-6 Ke Dalam Citra

Datas or informations are very important assets nowdays, that is why we have to keep it safe so it will not fall into one who is do not have rights. There are several methods to maintain the confidentiality of datas/informations, which are cryptography and steganography. By using cryptographic Rivest Code-6 algorithm then the datas/informations is converted into a form that cannot be undestood, and then steganographic End of File algorithm the datas/informations is inserted into another media so that ordinaary people do not know the existence of the datas/informations. The results of this research tell that by using both algorithms the secret datas/informations can be hidden and read back properly. In addition there will be increase in file size reservoirs, where the increase in dependent on the size of the secret datas/informations and file size of the reservoir, while the length of the key to be isnerted into reservoir will remain at 16 bytes

Developments in Structuring of Reformed Theology:The Synopsis Purioris Theologiae (1625) as Example

The Synopsis Purioris Theologiae (1625), an influential handbook of Reformeddogmatics, began as a cycle of disputations. A comparison of it with the cyclesthat were held previously in Leiden reveals some shifts in the structure of Reformeddogmatics. After introducing the Synopsis, this paper highlights thefunction of prolegomena, the place of predestination, and the relationship betweenthe magistrate and eschatology. It concludes that the choices made in theSynopsis illustrate tensions in Reformed theology. After the conflict with theRemonstrants it became urgent to carefully define the character of theology inthe prolegomena, to relate predestination to the person and work of Christ, andto connect the task of the magistrate to the doctrine of the church

Democracy, development and the executive presidency in Sri Lanka

This paper examines the developmental causes and consequences of the shift from a parliamentary to a semi-presidential system in Sri Lanka in 1978, examining its provenance, rationale, and its unfolding trajectory. drawing on a wide range of sources, it set out an argument that the executive presidency was born out of an elite impulse to create a more stable, centralised political structure to resist the welfarist electoral pressures that had taken hold in the post-independence period, and to pursue a market-driven model of economic growth. This strategy succeeded in its early years 197801993, when presidents retained legislative control, maintained a strong personal commitment to market reforms, and cultivated alternative sources of legitimacy. In the absence of these factors, the presidency slipped into crisis over 1994-2004 as resistance to elite-led projects of state reform mounted and as the president lost control of the legislature. Since 2005 the presidency has regained its power, but at the cost of abandoning its original rationale and function as a means to recalibrate the elite/mass power relations to facilitate elite-led reform agendas

Feebly-interacting particles: FIPs 2022 Workshop Report

Particle physics today faces the challenge of explaining the mystery of dark matter, the origin of matter over anti-matter in the Universe, the origin of the neutrino masses, the apparent fine-tuning of the electro-weak scale, and many other aspects of fundamental physics. Perhaps the most striking frontier to emerge in the search for answers involves new physics at mass scales comparable to familiar matter, below the GeV-scale, or even radically below, down to sub-eV scales, and with very feeble interaction strength. New theoretical ideas to address dark matter and other fundamental questions predict such feebly interacting particles (FIPs) at these scales, and indeed, existing data provide numerous hints for such possibility. A vibrant experimental program to discover such physics is under way, guided by a systematic theoretical approach firmly grounded on the underlying principles of the Standard Model. This document represents the report of the FIPs 2022 workshop, held at CERN between the 17 and 21 October 2022 and aims to give an overview of these efforts, their motivations, and the decadal goals that animate the community involved in the search for FIPs
