    Space methods in oceanology

    Get PDF
The study of Earth from space with specialized satellites, and from manned orbiting stations, has become important in the space programs. The broad complex of methods used for probing Earth from space are different methods of the study of ocean, dynamics. The different methods of ocean observation are described

Management of regional social and economic conflicts under the conditions of the russian crisis 2014-2017: case of the republic of Tatarstan

This paper analyzes various regional conflicts in the conditions of the current Russian social and economic crisis. These conflicts are universal, and arise even in dynamically developing territories and in donor regions. As an example, the case of the Republic of Tatarstan is use

Mitochondrial respiration inhibition after exposure to UWB pulses as a possible mechanism of antitumor action

    Get PDF
The respiration of isolated mice liver mitochondria after exposure to nanosecond UWB pulses (0.15 – 36 kV/cm, 0.6 – 1.0 GHz centre frequency, 3 – 20 ns pulse duration) has been investigated. The respiratory control (RC, the ratio of oxygen consumption) was estimated. The possibility of mitochondrial membrane electroporation was detected as the decrease in the electrical resistance, according to the β-dispersion of the electric current. The monotonous decrease of RC after 1000 UWB pulses from 0.15 kV/cm was observed, the ohmic resistance of mitochondria suspension was reduced. The obtained data indicate the inhibitory effect of UWB pulses on a state of irradiated mitochondria and its membrane

Conflicts of identities in the South caucasus and problems of integration of the states of the region into European structures

    Get PDF
This article studies the problem of conflicts of identities in the South Caucasus and its influence on the process of integration of the states of the region into European structures. The main factors of formation and development of conflicts of identities in the region are analyzed. The authors pay special attention to the issues and contradictions of the process of integration of the states of South Caucasus into European structures (EU, NATO), which are mainly caused by the conflicts of identities existing in the region. The conclusion of the article is that the settlement of the conflicts of identities in the South Caucasus region greatly depends on formation of a national idea based on pragmatic approach of the state to national development, which assumes taking into account and supporting cultural, ideological and political versatility. © IDOSI Publications, 2013

MECHANICAL CHAINS: IDENTIFICATION OF DYNAMICAL RESPONSES

    Get PDF
Approaches for dynamical responses identification in example of system with three freedom degrees with tie between two of outside elements are offered. First approach bases on using of mathematical models-analogues of automation control theory, second approach bases on rules of transformation of design schemes of chains theory. Conversion from design schemes to equivalent in dynamical attitude of structural schemes of automation control is applied at using of structural method. Feedback tie in automation control system dedicated to the protection object is dynamical responses on external disturbance and at zero value of the disturbance disposed of the coerced elasticity of the system. The using of direct conversion of design schemes for the rules of chains theory shows identical results for both approaches

Mechanisms of long-term plasticity of hippocampal GABAergic synapses

© 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.Long-term potentiation and depression of synaptic transmission have been considered as cellular mechanisms of memory in studies conducted in recent decades. These studies were predominantly focused on mechanisms underlying plasticity at excitatory synapses. Nevertheless, normal central nervous system functioning requires maintenance of a balance between inhibition and excitation, suggesting existence of similar modulation of glutamatergic and GABAergic synapses. Here we review the involvement of G-protein-coupled receptors in the generation of long-term changes in synaptic transmission of inhibitory synapses. We considered the role of endocannabinoid and glutamate systems, GABAB and opioid receptors in the induction of long-term potentiation and long-term depression in inhibitory synapses. The preand postsynaptic effects of activation of these receptors are also discussed

Beam instrumentation for the Tevatron Collider

The Tevatron in Collider Run II (2001-present) is operating with six times more bunches and many times higher beam intensities and luminosities than in Run I (1992-1995). Beam diagnostics were crucial for the machine start-up and the never-ending luminosity upgrade campaign. We present the overall picture of the Tevatron diagnostics development for Run II, outline machine needs for new instrumentation, present several notable examples that led to Tevatron performance improvements, and discuss the lessons for future colliders
