Fiscal and Monetary Policy in an Endogenous Growth Model with Public Capital
2007-02This paper describes an endogenous growth model in which the government finances its public investment using both income taxation and seigniorage. Arguments presented in this paper show that monetary policy always has positive impacts on economic growth and the inflation rate. Furthermore, we show that the growth-maximizing tax rate on income is less than the output elasticity of public capital on the BGP, a suitable result compared to those of empirical studies.departmental bulletin pape
Map-subtraction based moving-object tracking with motorcycle-mounted scanning LiDAR
本論文ではバイクに搭載したLiDARを用いて非GNSS環境において四輪車,二輪車,歩行者などの移動物体を追跡(位置・速度・大きさの推定)する方法を示す.3D点群地図が事前に獲得できていることを仮定する. LiDARスキャンデータの歪みは,NDTマップマッチングおよび慣性測定装置(IMU)情報からLiDARスキャン周期よりも短い周期でバイクの姿勢(3D位置と姿勢角)を拡張カルマンフィルターを用いて推定することで補正する.歪補正されたLiDARスキャンデータは環境地図と比較され,現時刻のLiDARスキャンデータから注目すべきLiDARスキャンデータが地図差分法により抽出される.抽出されたスキャンデータはエレベーションマップにマッピングされ,占有グリッド法により移動物体が検出される.そして,検出移動物体はベイズフィルタにより追跡される.公道と大学キャンパス道路環境で得られた実験結果は提案手法の有効性を示している.This paper presents a method for tracking (estimation of position, velocity and size) of moving objects, such as cars, motorcycles, and pedestrians, in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS)-denied environments using light detection and ranging (LiDAR) mounted on motorcycle. 3D-point cloud environmental map is assumed to be acquired in advance. Distortion in scan data from the scanning LiDAR is corrected by estimating the pose (3D positions and attitude angles) of the motorcycle in a period shorter than the LiDAR scan period using normal distribution transforms (NDT) based map matching and the information from inertial measurement unit (IMU) via the extended Kalman filter (EKF). The corrected LiDAR scan data are compared with environmental map, and the LiDAR scan data of interest are extracted from the current LiDAR scan data based on map-subtraction method. The extracted scan data are mapped onto an elevation map, and moving objects are detected based on an occupancy grid method. Finally, detected moving objects are tracked based on the Bayesian Filter. 相模湾真鶴港における海洋環境の周年ならびに経年変化 : 1995年から1999年
application/pdfSeasonal and annual variations of environmental factors were examined to understand marine environments in the coastal area of Sagami Bay, Japan in the 1990s. Temperature, salinity, chlorophyll a, and dry weight (DW) and ash free dry weight (AFDW) as zooplankton biomass were measured at Manazuru Port located in the north-western part of Sagami Bay, every week from 1995 to 1999. Rainfall data taken at Manazuru village office was used during the same period. Irradiance was also measured at Manazuru Marine Laboratory for Science Education, Yokohama National University from 1997 to 1999. Temperature ranged between 11.8℃ and 28.2℃ and salinity between 24.0 and 37.0. Salinity values were often influenced by the amount of the rainfall, which caused sudden decreases of salinity in surface waters. Chlorophyll a concentrations ranged from 0.19mg/m^3 to 106mg/m^3. Chlorophyll a concentrations increased during summer and showed maximum values of more than 30mg/m^3 every year. This annual pattern was different from that in the typical temperate area as showing two peaks in the chlorophyll a concentration of spring and autumn through the year. The chlorophyll a concentration in the present study was compared with the published data, and the long-term variation in the coastal area of Sagami Bay was discussed. DW and AFDW increased during April and June throughout the period. The maximum abundances were 506mg/m^3 as DW and 202mg/m^3 as AFDW. The average DW was 55.8mg/m^3 and AFDW was 24.8mg/m^3. AFDW occupied nearly half the portion of DW throughout the period. This result suggests that biomass values of zooplankton should be denoted in terms of AFDW rather than DW in near shore areas such as Manazuru Port. Monitoring the environmental factors continuously is needed to understand the changes of the environmental conditions in the coast of Sagami Bay.departmental bulletin pape
