    A Consideration on the Rise of Chinese Electric Appliances Enterprises and the Future Business Strategy of Japanese-Affiliated Companies

    近年、中国家電産業は著しい発展を遂げている。とりわけ、国内市場で外資系特に日系企業に追い付き、さらに追い越した地場企業までも出現し、中国家電産業の発展は新たな段階を迎えようとしている。 一方、90年代には、投資の自由化が進み、日系家電企業は輸出とともに、現地生産が認められるなど、中国市場参入を果たしたものの、90年代半ばから中国市場でのシェアが低迷している。 このような背景の下で、本論文では、中国家電企業の台頭と日系企業の伸び悩み(不振を続けたことを指す)の原因、及び新たな対中戦略について考察する。Recently, Chinese consumer electronic industry accomplishes remarkable development. In the domestic market, the local enterprise is attaining foreign enterprise, especially it starts overtaking Japanese company. Chinese consumer electronic industry is entering a new developable phase. On the other hand, the Japanese consumer electronic keeps low relative market share in China since the middle of 1990s. Though in the 1990s, by the policy of liberalize investment, foreign enterprise can export products and local production are admitted. Under such a background, the author will discuss the rise of the Chinese consumer electronic industry, analysis the reasons why the Japanese Company keep inactive in the China market.     New Method for Joint Network Analysis Reveals Common and Different Coexpression Patterns among Genes and Proteins in Breast Cancer

    We focus on characterizing common and different coexpression patterns among RNAs and proteins in breast cancer tumors. To address this problem, we introduce Joint Random Forest (JRF), a novel nonparametric algorithm to simultaneously estimate multiple coexpression networks by effectively borrowing information across protein and gene expression data. The performance of JRF was evaluated through extensive simulation studies using different network topologies and data distribution functions. Advantages of JRF over other algorithms that estimate class-specific networks separately were observed across all simulation settings. JRF also outperformed a competing method based on Gaussian graphic models. We then applied JRF to simultaneously construct gene and protein coexpression networks based on protein and RNAseq data from CPTAC-TCGA breast cancer study. We identified interesting common and differential coexpression patterns among genes and proteins. This information can help to cast light on the potential disease mechanisms of breast cancer
