A Study of the Classification of 4-Year University Students by Job Preference and the Length of Job Searching Period

본 연구는 250명의 4년제 대학생을 대상으로 취업선호도에 따른 잠재집단분석과 각 잠재집단별 취업소요기간 분석 및 영향요인을 검증하였다. 졸업 시점의 취업선호도에 따른 잠재집단분석 결과, 이상추구형, 직업탐색형, 자아실현형, 사무직선호형, 비사무직선호형의 5개 집단이 도출되었다. 각 취업소요기간에 대한 생존분석결과, 잠재집단 별로 상이한 취업소요기간과 미취업률을 보였다. 취업소요기간에는 인적자본 요인의 영어점수와 사회경제적 요인의 어머니 월평균 소득이 유의한 영항을 주는 변수로 나타났다. 토익 점수가 없을 경우에 비해 800점 이상일 경우, 어머니 월평균 소득이 없을 경우에 비해 500만원 미만 1,000만원 미만일 경우 취업소요기간이 단축될 가능성이 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구가 고용의 질에 대한 불균형을 해소하고, 청년 미취업자들이 자신의 직업가치에 부합하는 다양한 일자리를 탐색할 수 있도록 지원하는 효과적인 방향성이 제시되기를 기대한다.The present study applied Latent Class Analysis and Survival Analysis to classify college students by their job preferences and investigate the length of job searching period. According to the results of identifying latent classes by job preference, five classes were discerned for 250 college students. Each class showed distinctive length of job searching period and the unemployment rate. Also, the results of Survival Analysis showed that English test score (TOEIC) and mother’s average monthly income were significant determinants of length of job searching period. Based on the findings from this study, it is suggested that insightful measures to enhance imbalance of employment quality should be considered

Effects of Adolescent's Career Development on Labor Market Outcomes: Applying the Two-part Growth Mixture Model

청년기에 가장 핵심적인 고민 주제는 '진로'이다. 이 시기 진로를 결정하고 진로에 대한 정보를 얻으며, 진로를 향해 나아간다. 또한 진로는 고정된 것이 아니라 전생애에 걸쳐 변화하는 것으로, 진로발달과 성취가 과업으로 주어지는 청년층에 대한 전반적인 진로 발달을 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 『한국교육고용패널조사』를 활용하여 청년들의 진로발달 추이와 변화 형태를 유형화하고, 이들 형태가 결과적으로 노동시장 성과(정규직 여부, 임금, 직장만족도)에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검증했다. 진로 발달을 구성하는 진로 결정과 진로탐색 수준을 동시에 유형화하기 위해 이원 성장혼합모형(Two-part Growth Mixture)을 실시했으며, 각 유형이 노동시장 이행에 미치는 영향을 Lanza 방식으로 분석했다. 연구결과, 진로 결정이 청년기 전반에 걸쳐 미결정 수준에 해당하는 미결정 집단을 포함하여 5개의 유형이 나타났다. 또한 각 유형에 따른 노동시장 성과는 진로발달이 높은 집단이 전반적으로 다른 집단에 비해 높은 수준을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에는 이러한 결과에 대한 더 상세한 설명과 함의를 포함하고 있다.The focus of this study is on the career development in adolescent. Since the career path is not fixed, rather changing over time, it is necessary to study the career development in adolescence. Thus, using the 11th wave data of the Korean Education & Employment Panel (KEEP), this study attempts to categorize the change of youth career development over time and verifies how those categories have effects on labor market outcomes, including income and job satisfaction. For this purpose, this study applied the two-part growth mixture model and conducted the Lanza approach analysis. The results of the study show that adolescent's career development can be categorized into five different patterns, including the career indecision group. Moreover, the group with a high level of career development has greater achievement of the labor market outcomes. Detailed explanations and implications of these findings are discussed in the paper

Classification of Changes in Married Female Worker's Work-Family Reconciliation and Job Satisfaction, and Influencing Factors: Using the Dual Trajectory Model

본 연구는 이중 변화형태 모형을 활용하여, 기혼 여성근로자의 일-가정 양립과 직장만족도의 변화 양상을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기혼 여성근로자의 표본 자료인 여성가족패널 1차년도부터 6차년도까지의 자료를 사용하였으며, 도출된 변화 양상에 따른 두 변수의 잠재계층성장모형을 동시에 추정하여 잠재계층을 분류하고, 이와 관련된 영향요인의 유의성을 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 일-가정 양립의 잠재계층은 '갈등-양립 경계형', '양립 인지형', '갈등 변화형'의 3개 집단으로, 직장만족도는 '저수준 상승 집단', '보편 집단', '고수준 집단'의 3개 집단으로 분류되었다. 영향요인의 검증에서는 가정 요인의 부부친밀감과 제도 요인의 모성보호제도 인지여부가 모든 잠재계층에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 가정 요인의 부부간 성역할 인식과 제도 요인의 직무교육훈련 여부는 집단에 따라 유의성이 다른 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 기혼 여성근로자의 일-가정 양립과 직장만족도를 종단적으로 분석하여, 현 노동시장 내 이들의 상황에 대한 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 이와 같은 목적을 바탕으로, 본 연구의 결과가 기혼 여성근로자의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 제도를 마련하는 데, 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.The purpose of this study is to analyze changes in married female workers' work-family reconciliation and job satisfaction using the dual trajectory model. The latent class growth models of the two variables were estimated and the significance of the related factors was tested. Data from the first- to sixth-wave surveys of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families (KLoWF) were used to get a sample of married female workers. The latent classes of work-family reconciliation were 'Conflict-reconciliation boundary type', 'Balance type', and 'Conflict-change type', while those of job satisfaction were 'Low level rise', 'Universal', and 'High level'. In the influencing factor results, marital intimacy and awareness of the maternity protection policy had a significant impact on all the latent classes. The perceptions of marital gender roles and vocational education and training differed among the groups. The results of this study may help understand married female worker's situations in the current labor market, and are expected to be used as rudimentary data for improving the quality of their lives
