The Relationship between Attachment and Career Indecision: The Mediating Effect of Socially Prescribed Perfectionism and the Moderating Effect of Extrinsic Work Value

본 연구에서는 대학생 160명을 대상으로 애착과 진로미결정의 관계에서 완벽주의 하위 차원 중 하나인 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의(Socially Prescribed Perfectionism; SPP)와 외재적 일가치의 매개 및 조절효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 중다회귀 방법을 이용하여 분석한 결과, SPP의 하위 요인 중 조건적 수용이 애착과 진로미결정의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났으며, 외재적 일가치가 SPP와 진로미결정의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과는 주요 맥락적 변인 모애착의 경우, 대학생에게 직접적으로 영향을 미치기보다는 이로 인해 형성된 성격적 특성을 매개로 진로 결정 과정에 영향을 미치며 성격적 특성에 맞는 일가치 선호가 진로 결정을 촉진할 수 있음을 의미한다. 즉, 대학생의 모애착과 진로 결정 수준의 관계를 이해하기 위해서 개인의 성격적 특성을 바탕으로 선호 일가치와의 상호작용이 고려되어야 함을 시사한다. 이를 바탕으로 진로 지도에서의 적절한 개입방법과 개인 특성에 맞는 차별적 처치의 중요함을 논의하였다.The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of socially prescribed perfectionism(SPP) and the moderating effect of extrinsic work value in the relationship between attachment and career indecision. Data from 160 undergraduate students were analyzed through multiple regression analyses. The study revealed that conditional acceptance, one of the SPP’s sub-dimension, fully mediated the relationship between attachment and career indecision and the extrinsic work value functioned as significant moderator that accounts for the relationship between SPP and career indecision. The results suggest that interaction of personal trait and preferred work values should be considered to better understand relationship between attachment and the level of career decision of undergraduate students. Based on these, implications and limitations were discussed

The Effect of Mentor Experience on Career Adaptability among University Students

본 연구는 멘토경험이 멘토의 진로적응성에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구의 설계는 멘토 링 프로그램에 참여하는 대학생 31명과 비참여 대학생 31명의 진로적응성 점수 변화를 비교하는 이질집단 사전 사후설계로 실시되었다. 멘토링 프로그램의 순수한 처치효과를 비교하기 위해 사전점수를 공변량으로 통제하는 ANCOVA를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 실험집단은 진로적응성의 모든 하위요인(목적의식, 창의성, 대인관계, 개방성, 주도성, 직무능력, 긍정적 태도, 책임감)에서 프로그램 참여 전에 비해 점수가 유의하게 증가하는 것으로 나타났 다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 멘토링 프로그램과 대학생의 진로적응성 연구에 대한 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다. The purpose of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of the mentoring program, co-operated by a university and local government. The distinct characteristic of this mentoring program is that education, training, and monitoring are provided for the mentors. The research design is pretest-posttest with a control group to compare career adaptability change of each group. ANCOVA was conducted to analyze the data. The results showed that all of 8 factors (goal setting, creativity, interpersonal relationship, openness, proactivity, job competence, positive attitude, responsibility) of career adaptability were significantly improved in the experimental group. The Mediating Effect of Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy in the Relation between Narcissism and Career Decision Level in College Students

본 연구는 남녀 대학생 188명(남: 73명, 여: 115명)을 대상으로 외현적 자기애 및 내현적 자기애 성향과 진로 결정수준 간의 관계에서 진로결정자기효능감의 매개 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 매개 효과 검증을 위해 중다회귀 방법을 이용하여 분석한 결과, 외현적 자기애와 진로결정수준과의 관계는 진로결정자기효능감에 의해 완전 매개 되었다. 그리고 외현적 자기애를 하위 요인으로 구분하여 살펴본 추가 분석에서는 리더십/자신감 요인에서 완전 매개 효과가 나타났다. 반면 내현적 자기애는 진로결정자기효능감을 부분 매개하여 진로결정수준에 영향을 미쳤 으며, 내현적 자기애를 하위 요인으로 구분한 추가 분석에서는 하위 요인 중 목표불안정에서 부분 매개 효과가 나타났다. 이 같은 결과를 바탕으로 진로 상담 시 적절한 개입방법과 차별적 처치의 중요성에 대하여 논의하였다. The current study examined the mediation effect of career decision making self-efficacy(CDMSE) in the relation between a persons overt/covert narcissism tendency and career decision level. 188 college students (73 males, 115 females) participated in the study. Using multiple regression analysis, the current study found that CDMSE fully mediated between overt narcissism and career decision level. Additional analysis were performed dividing the overt narcissism tendency into sub-categories. The results showed that CDMSE fully mediated between leadership/confidence and career decision level. On the other hand, covert narcissism partially mediated CDMSE, affecting the career decision level. In the additional analysis dividing covert narcissism into sub-categories, there was a partial mediation effect of CDMSE in the relationship between goal instability and career decision level. Based on the results, the current study further discussed the appropriate intervention methods and the importance of discriminative treatment

The Effect of Perceived Parenting Style and Psychological Separation on Adaptation to School Life in Middle School Students

본 연구는 중학생이 지각하는 부·모의 양육태도 유형과 심리적 독립성의 수준에 따라 학교적응에 차이를 보이는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 참가자는 서울소재 남녀공학 중학교에 재학 중인 1, 2, 3학년 학생이었고, 참가 자의 성별은 남학생 458명(46.3%), 여학생 532명(53.7%)이었다. 연구결과, 학교적응에 있어서 중학생이 지각 하는 부·모 양육태도의 주효과가 나타났다. 부·모의 양육태도 유형을 민주적으로 지각한 학생들은 권위적으로 지각하는 학생들보다 학교적응 수준이 높았다. 또한 학교적응에 대해 양육태도 유형과 심리적 독립성 수준에 따른 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 부·모 모두에서 ‘민주적-낮은 독립성’ 집단이 ‘권위적-높은 독립성’집 단보다 학교적응 수준이 높았고, 아버지의 경우 학교적응의 하위 요인 중 학교교사적응에서 ‘권위적-낮은 독 립성’집단이 ‘권위적-높은 독립성’ 집단보다 학교적응 점수가 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과들과 관련한 시사 점과 함께 추후연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다. This study examined the difference in school adaptation by the perceived parenting style and psychological separation. 458 male and 532 female middle school students in Seoul participated in this study. The results showed that there was a main effect in school adaptation level by perceived parenting style. The school adaptation level was higher with students perceiving the parenting style as authoritative than authoritarian. Furthermore, there was a interaction effect in school adaptation level by parenting style and psychological separation: ‘authoritative-low psychological separation’ group showed higher level than ‘authoritarian-high separation’ group. With the psychological separation from father especially, ‘authoritarian-low psychological separation’ group had higher teacher adaptation than the ‘authoritarian-low psychological separation’ group. The current study also discussed the suggestions for future studies and implications

The Relationship Gap between Expectations of College Life and the Satisfaction with College Life and Psychological Well-being : the Mediating Effect of the Characteristics

본 연구에서는 대학생 297명을 대상으로 대학생활 기대-만족 차이와 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 성격적 특성(낙관성, 외향성, 신경증)이 대학생들이 지각하는 심리적 안녕감에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보았다. 중다 회귀 방법을 이용하여 분석한 결과, 대학생활 기대-만족차이와 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에 있어서 모든 성격적 특성이 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 대학생활에 대한 입학 전의 기대감과 입학 후에 지각하는 만족감의 차이가 대학생들의 심리적 안녕감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 이해를 높일 수 있을 것이다. This study gathered research from 297 college students on how their expectations of college life compared to their satisfaction with college life. It studied how this related to personality traits and psychological well-being. This study considers the gap between college life expectations and satisfaction with college life as variables for predicting the effect on the psychological well-being of students. The multiple regression analysis results found that individual personality traits mediated the relationship between the difference between college life expectations and satisfaction with college life and psychological well-being. The results provide an understanding of how psychological well-being is influenced by the gap between expectations of college life and satisfaction with college life and personality traits
