In this research, we listen to the voice of companies, analyze the causes behind this problem by looking from various dimensions and search for ways to solve it. Also, this study involves in depth interviews and surveys of CEOs and HR (HRM & HRD) managers of corporations to investigate company needs in terms of specific attributes they demand in securing manpower, degree of satisfaction with university education in fostering such manpower, overall perception of the education system, and the level of awareness and concern about government policies and systems. The results show that companies hold negative views about the effectiveness of university education. Despite differences in manpower demands among companies, CEOs and HR managers generally acknowledge the importance of human nature in recruiting workers. In accommodating both global changes and the tradition of Korean university education, we should support and encourage new experiments and attempts at building new forms of higher education system. Also, it is important to build greater confidence in government policies and improve the efficiency of university education policies
