Of the 450 public officers in Central Government Complex in Seoul, Korea, 308 completed and returned the questionnaire yielding a total response rate of 68.4%. The final sample consisted of 168 males, 135 females and 5 missing values. Their average age was 39.38 years. It was observed that male officers had higher job creativity, conscientiousness, openness to experience and intrinsic motivation than female officers, whereas female officers had higher neuroticism than male officers. Hierarchical multiple regression analyses showed that gender(male), conscientiousness, openness to experience, extroversion, neuroticism and intrinsic motivation predicted job creativity of public officers. Moreover, mediational analysis indicated that intrinsic motivation mediated the relationship between three of the Big Five personalty traits(i.e., conscientiousness, openness to experience and extroversion) and job creativity

In this study, 495 adults were classified into two groups based on scores of the Revised Self-Leadership Questionnaire (RSLQ): high SL group and low SL group. Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was performed to investigate group differences on their personal characteristics. The findings showed that high SL group had higher personal characters, psychological basic needs, intrinsic motivation, internal locus of control, and four factors of the Big 5 personality traits (i.e., openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, and agreeableness). A binary logistic regression analysis showed that 87.0 percent of the adults in this study were accurately classified as either high SL group or low SL group in respect to the relatedness, intrinsic motivation, and conscientiousness. Is gifted education effective? It is both an important and sensitive question. It is almost ten years that gifted education centers affiliated with universities have been managed to educate gifted learners in Korea. However, there has been so little effort to evaluate the effectiveness of those gifted education programs and so little evidence that gifted education is effective or not. How and in what aspects gifted learners are differentiated or improved through the gifted education programs? The present study is initiated from these questions. To diagnose and analyse comprehensively the effectiveness of gifted education program at the gifted education centers affiliated with universities, the study carried out following four subordinate studies: 1) a survey of students, professors, and graduates of 22 gifted education centers nationwide; 2) a quasi experimental study to compare the gifted education center students and the potentially gifted students without any gifted education services both in short and long term base; 3) an analysis of career of the graduates of gifted education center through the follow up study. To show the comprehensive perspective on the effectiveness of the gifted education programs, the present study is composed of the short main results of the each study on the above rather than to describe the overall results of each study in detail and in separate
