Weaning pattern of infants(6-18 months)

지역사회 간호학과/석사[한글] 본 연구는 영아를 둔 어머니들의 이유식에 대한 실태를 파악하고 이유식 행위와 관련된 요인을 분석하기 위하여 시행되었다. 서울시 2개 대학병원과 부천시 1개 대학병원 소아과의 입원 또는 외래방문한 영아와 해당 병원 직원의 영아를 중심으로 1997년 10월 20일부터 11월 3일까지 자료를 수집하였으며, 중환이나 장기질환아를 제외한 생후 6개월부터 18개월까지 해당하는 영아를 둔 어머니를 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 선행연구를 기본으로 하여 연구자가 조사하고자 하는 내용을 첨가하거나 변형한 구조화된 질문지를 이용하였으며, 이 질문지는 영아의 일반적 특성 5문항, 어머니의 일반적 특성 8문항과 이유실태에 관한 17문항으로 구성되었다. 3명의 간호대학 교수로부터 타당도를 인정받았으며, 검사－재검사 신뢰도는 γ= 0.82로 나타났고, 완성된 설문지 202부(96.2%)가 분석에 사용되었다. 자료는 SAS프로그램을 이용하여 영아 및 어머니의 제특성에 따른 이유 실태를 χ2 검정으로, 이유행위 간의 상관관계는 pearson correlation coefficient로 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 이유식전의 수유형태는 모유수유보다 조제분유 사용이 더 많았으며 어머니의 학력이 높을수록, 직업을 갖고있는 어머니와 수술분만을 한 경우일수록 조제분유 사용율이 유의하게 높았다. 2. 이유식에 대한 지식의 출처는 36.6%에서 육아서적이나 요리책을 통해서 얻었으며, 이유식을 시작한 이유는 영양보충을 위해서라고 96.5%가 응답하였다. 3. 이유시작시기는 4∼6개월의 적기에 66.3%가 시행되었으며 어머니의 학력이높고, 직업을 갖고있는 어머니와 조제분유를 사용할 경우일수록 적기에 이루어졌으며 이는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 4. 주로 이용하는 이유식형태는 집에서 만든 미음이 55.5%를 차지하였으며, 62.4%가 숟가락으로 떠 먹이고 있었다. 5. 이유완료시기도 12∼18개월의 적기에 61.9%가 시행되었으며 직업을 갖고 있지않은 전업주부와 모유수유를 시행한 경우일수록 적기에 이루어졌으며 이는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 6. 이유행위 간의 상관관계로 이유시작시기가 빠를수록 이유완료시기, 생우유섭취시기가 빨라지고, 생우유섭취량도 많아지는 것으로 유의한 관계를 보였으며, 이유완료시기가 빠를수록 생우유섭취시기가 빨라지며, 생우유섭취시기가 빠를수록 생우유섭취량이 많아지는 것도 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이상의 연구결과를 보면, 영아를 둔 어머니들을 대상으로 이유식의 중요성이 강화되어야 하며, 영아를 둔 어머니들에게 이유식관리를 위해 보건 교육프로그램 실시와 더불어 영아들도 함께 참여할 수 있는 이유식적응 단계프로그램의 개발이 요구된다. [영문] The main purpose of this study is to examine science and management the status of the weaning pattern of infants＇ feeding. Data have been gathered from the mothers of infants who visited to two university affiliated hospitals in Seoul and one university affiliated hospital in Pucheon City. Data collection was done from Oct. 21 1997 to Nov. 3 1997 from the mothers of infants aging 6 months to 18 months excluding the infants with the chronic or congenital disease. The 30 item questionnaire was used to collect the data and the reliability was γ= 0.82. The final data analysis was done with 202 completed questionnaire using SAS program. The results are following. 1. Before the weaning, more mothers are using the commercial milk than the breast milk. More mothers with higher education and with jobs are feeding their infants with commercial milk than their counterpants. 2. Mothers get then knowledge of the weaning from the infants care book or cook books(36.6%). The main reason of weaning was to improve their infants nutritional status(96.5%). 3. More mothers start to weaning when the infants turn to 4∼6 months of age (66.3%). 4. More mothers(55.5%) start weaning by using homemade liquid rice soup, and more mothers(62.4%) are feeding foods with spoon. 5. The time of completing the weaning was in 12∼18 months(61.9%). According to therse findings, it is urgent for nurses to develop parent education program on infants nutrition and implements in many health care selfings.restrictio
