    pH-Induced Simultaneous Synthesis and Self-Assembly of 3D Layered beta-FeOOH Nanorods

    Higher-ordered architectures self-assembly of nanomaterials have recently attracted increasing attention. In this work, we report a spontaneous and efficient route to simultaneous synthesis and self-assembly of 3D layered beta-FeOOH nanorods depending oil a pH-induced strategy, in which the continuous change of pH is achieved by hydrolysis of FeCl3 center dot 6H(2)O in the presence of urea under hydrothermal conditions. The electron microscopy observations reveal that the square-prismic beta-FeOOH nanorods are self-assembled ill a side-by-side fashion to form highly oriented 2D nanorod arrays, and the 2D nanorod arrays are further stacked in a face-to-face fashion to form the Final 3D layered architectures. Oil the basis of time-dependent experiments, a multistage reaction mechanism for the formation of the 3D layered beta-FeOOH nanorods architecture is presented, involving the fast growth and synchronous self-assembly of the nanorods toward I D, 213, and 3D spontaneously. The experimental evidence further demonstrates that the urea-decomposition-dependent pH continuously changing in the Solution, spontaneously altering the driving force competition between the electrostatic repulsive force and the attractive van der Waals force among the nanorods building blocks, is the essential factor to influence the self-assembly of the beta-FeOOH nanorods from 1D to 3D.NSFC,20525103,20801045,20531050,20725310 973 Program 2007CB81530

    Single-crystal-like hematite colloidal nanocrystal clusters: synthesis and applications in gas sensors, photocatalysis and water treatment

    A facile and efficient one-pot solvothermal synthetic route based on a simplified self-assembly is proposed to fabricate spherical hematite colloidal nanocrystal clusters (CNCs) of uniform shape and size. The as-prepared hematite CNCs are composed of numerous nanocrystals of approximately 20 nm in size, and present a single-crystal-like characteristic. A possible formation process based on the nucleation-oriented aggregation-recrystallization mechanism is proposed. Our experiments demonstrated that both the surfactant and the mixed solvent play very critical roles in controlling the size of primary nanocrystals and the final morphology of single-crystal-like spherical CNCs. Compared with other hematite nanostructures, the spherical hematite CNCs show outstanding performance in gas sensing, photocatalysis and water treatment due to their large surface area and porous structure. Metal films containing just a few layers of atoms can be fabricated on substrates using deposition techniques(7), but the production of freestanding ultrathin structures remains a significant challenge. Here we report the facile synthesis of freestanding hexagonal palladium nanosheets that are less than 10 atomic layers thick, using carbon monoxide as a surface confining agent. The as-prepared nanosheets are blue in colour and exhibit a well-defined but tunable surface plasmon resonance peak in the near-infrared region. The combination of photothermal stability and biocompatibility makes palladium nanosheets promising candidates for photothermal therapy.     作者简介: 陈芳育(1978-) , 男, 讲师。E-mail : cfy307@ sohu. com * 通讯作者(Corresponding author) : 陈亮( 1963-) , 男, 教授, 博士生导师, 研究方向: 细胞与分子生物学。E-mail: chenlg@ xmu. edu. cn[中文文摘]运用双向电泳分析高抗水稻品种“佳辐占”受强毒力细菌性条斑病病原菌侵染2d后的叶片蛋白质组变化,共发现38个蛋白质发生差异表达,其中32个上调,5个下调,1个新增。用MALDI-TOF-MS分析和数据库检索鉴定出其中的33个差异表达蛋白质,并将它们分为4个功能类群,即信号转导相关蛋白、防卫相关蛋白、代谢相关蛋白和蛋白质稳定相关蛋白。这些蛋白分别参与了信号识别、信号传递、抗氧化、糖代谢、细胞壁加固、植保素合成等抗病生理反应。研究表明,水稻对细菌性条斑病病原菌的侵染存在着一个复杂的抗病信号应答和代谢调控网络,其作用机理可以通过差异表达的蛋白质(酶)反映出来,其中差异表达的8个R蛋白和3个PR蛋白可能与水稻对细菌性条斑病的抗病性密切相关。本研究为进一步揭示水稻对细菌性条斑病的抗性机理及相关抗病基因的功能克隆提供了依据。[英文文摘]Rice bacterial leaf streak( BLS) caused by the pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola ( Xooc) is one of the major rice diseases in South China. Here we focus on proteomics as a tool for the discovery of differentially expressed proteins closely related to the disease resistance. The leaves of rice cultivar Jiafuzhan (Oryzae sativa L. ) highly resistant to the disease, were infected by"89773-1- 1" strain of the Xooc with strong pathogenicity. Total proteins were extracted from the leaves sampled at two days after inoculation, and separated by two- dimensional electrophoresis. It was found that there were thirty- eight proteins expressed differentially, of which thirty-two were up-regulated, five down-regulated and one was "new". Of the thirty- eight responsive proteins, thirty-three were identified by MALD-I TOF-MS and database searching.Based on the predicted function, we grouped them into four clusters: signal transduction, defensive responses, substance metabolism and protein stabilization, which were involved in many resistant physiological react ions, including signal recognition and transduction, antioxidant react ion, carbonhydrate metabolism, cel-l wall reinforcement and phytoalexin biosythesis. In turn a complex signal transduct ion and metabolic regulative network in the resistant responses to the infection of Xooc was outlined in this work, and the molecular mechanism was revealed by differentially expressed protein/enzyme patterns during Xooc infection. In this study, eight R proteins and three pathogenesis- related(PR) proteins which might relate closely to the disease-resistance were found.     The Investment Effect of Anti-corruption: Evidence from Regional and Enterprises Dimensions

    本文从理论和实证两个方面探讨了反腐败对固定资产投资产生的影响及机制。我们基于中国地方高级官员被查落马的事件冲击,全面考察反腐败对固定资产投资总量、结构及其效率的影响。基于1998-2013年的省区面板数据及1998-2007年的工业企业数据库数据实证发现,高官落马产生震慑效应,进而显著地抑制了固定资产投资规模。这种遏制效应主要体现于国有企业固定资产投资,特别是那些属于管制程度较强的领域的国有工业企业投资,非国有企业投资活动并未受到负面影响。从效率角度来看,高官落马促进了高效率的工业企业的投资活动,改善了投资资源的配置效率。本文发现对于理解国有企业投资行为与政府廉政建设具有启示意义,提升政府组织的清廉度、大力推进简政放权,是提升投资动能和效率的有效保障。This paper explores the effects of anti - corruption on fixed asset investment and mechanism. Specifically, this paper studies how anti - corruption affects the scale, structure and efficiency of investment exploiting the shocks of senior official sacked. Using the panel data of Chinese provinces from 1998 to 2013 and the Annual Survey of Industrial Firms (ASIF) from 1998 to 2007, we find that the shocks of senior official sacked suppress growth of investment, and mainly suppress SOEs' investment which is subjected to greater regulation, but not the other types of investment. We confirm our primary finding in the micro level using industrial enterprises data, and find that the shocks of senior official sacked improve investment of high - efficient enterprises. It's helpful to promote investment efficiency. Our findings are meaningful to understand the investment behavior of SOE and the construction of a clean government.     Assessment of River Environment in the East Tiaoxi Basin, China Using GPS-Logger, Google Eearch and Landsat Images

    In Taihu Lake Basin in China, due to the rapid development of economy and society, degradation of aquatic environment has been one of the most urgent issues. On the other hand, the region still holds a lot of rivers and lakes with good environmental condition, which Japan and other advanced countries have already lost. For the first step to conserve such remaining environments, the past and present environmental status of the East Tiaoxi River (one of the most significant rivers in Taihu Lake Basin) was surveyed using GPS-logger, Google Earth and Landsat images. At first, NDBI, NDVI, BA was calculated from the multi-temporal Landsat images. The past Landsat images showed that, since 2000, urban areas and open-cast mining have been drastically expanded in the region. Classification of bank type was conducted using high resolution satellite images of Google Earth and digital photographs taken at main stream of East Tiaoxi; As a result, it was suggested that the carrying vessels for mineral substance considerably disturb the river environment
