Cathodoluminescene study of Mg implanted GaN: the impact of dislocation on Mg diffusion

    Get PDF
Magnesium (Mg) ion implanted homoepitaxial GaN layers is investigated by cathodoluminescence (CL) and secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). The impact of dislocations on Mg diffusion is clarified by CL monitoring the Mg-related donor-acceptor pair (DAP) emission on novel angle cutting specimen. CL results suggest that: (1) there exist high concentration of nonradiative defects in a Mg implanted layer; and (2) Mg shows pipe diffusion along threading dislocations throughout epilayer to substrate. To achieve successful Mg doping by ion implantation, it is necessary to suppress the formation of a dead region in the Mg implanted layer and the pipe diffusion along threading dislocations

The degree of involvement in clinical practice of our curriculum was investigated by a questionnaire survey (Visual Analogue Scaling method) to nursing instructors and staff in Shinshu University Hospital. Six categories were surveyed : (1) support for care planning of practice program ; (2) support for acquisition of knowledge and skills ; (3) support for improvement of learning attitude ; (4) self-confidence as a leader for practice ; (5) nursing skills ; and (6) learning tasks to be acquired as students. As a result, the nursing staff fully recognized on all issues that they were supporting students the same as instructors. In particular, the staff were strongly aware of their advice for "the practice program", "the establishment of human relationship with patients", "the contact method with patients", and "acquisition of nursing skills". These issues were identical to what the instructors had in mind. On the other hand, instructors well understood the importance of "value feeling", including advice for "practice report", "understanding the role of nursing care", "acquisition of attitude as a nursing expert", and "adaptation to practice". Finally, both instructors and staff believed that students needed to acquire "how to establish the human relationship with patients, increasing general culture and education", "improving attitude based on identity and responsibility as an expert", and "enhancing basic knowledge of nursing care".Article紀要 24: 1-13(1999)departmental bulletin pape
