中国における銀行の生産性とカードビジネス

この研究では中国において銀行のカードビジネスが銀行の生産性に対して与える影響について検証を行った。検証には中国の主要16銀行の2000年から2009年のアンバランスドパネルデータを使用した。中国の銀行は全体として生産性が向上する傾向にある。国有銀行については労働生産性と資本生産性、TFP がほかの銀行に比べて低く、既存研究と同様の結果となった。企業集団傘下と地方政府関連銀行の３つの生産性の違いはあまり大きくないが、資本生産性とTFPについては近年地方政府関連銀行が上回るようになっている。回帰分析によって生産性とカード事業の関係について検証した結果、カードの累積発行枚数は TFP と労働生産性に対しては、2000年代前半の段階では有意な関係は見られなかった。一方で2000年代後半については有意な関係がみられ、近年ではカードの発行が生産性の向上につながっていることを示唆している。また、ATM の設置についても資本生産性に関して有意な関係がみられている。これは2000年代前半にはATMが生産性の観点から有用な設備であったことが示唆される。しかし、2000年代後半には銀行・銀行間ネットワークが整備されたことやカードを利用できる店舗も増加したために自行でATMを保有することの有用性が失われたものと考えられる

Issues of Proposal Preparation of UCS Encoding Based on Publication Text of Early Hanzi Dictionary: A Case of Entries of Tenjibon ShinsenJikyō

Scale Economy and Competition in Chinese Insurance Industry

The Chinese insurance market is expanding along with economic growth.　However, it is supposed that the competitiveness of the market is still low as state-owned companies have a considerable share. This study aims to consider the competitiveness of the Chinese insurance market by making use of financial data from 2002 to 2011. Firstly we estimate the translog cost function for insurance companies to check the scale economy of the Chinese insurance market. Secondly, we check the competitiveness of the Chinese insurance market using mainly Panzar-Rosse’s H-statistic. The result of the analysis showed that there is little evidence of scale economy, and that the situation remained unchanged for both the property insurance and life insurance markets in spite of changes in institutions and market conditions. The Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI) also indicates that competition is becoming more severe in both of the Chinese insurance markets. The H-statistic further indicates that neither of the Chinese insurance markets have been monopolistic

大学生のひとり親家族のイメージ

近年、ひとり親家族が増加している。未婚、離別、死別など様々な状況にあるひとり親家族の多くは社会的偏見による問題を抱えている。そこでこの調査の目的は、「どのような変数が大学生のひとり親家族に対する意見に影響を与えているか」、「どのようなイメージを持っているか」に焦点を当てた。ひとり親に対する肯定的意見に,「世間のひとり親の肯定的イメージ」、「子どもがいて再婚することに関する意見」、「性別役割分業に関する意見」、「男女参画に関する講義の受講経験」、「ひとり親家族に関するメディアを見た経験」、「将来の結婚と子育てに関する意見」が影響を与えていた。性別分業に関する意見は、媒介変数として機能していた。ひとり親に対するイメージは、「親子早期自立イメージ」「親離れ・子離れイメージ」、「親子孤立イメージ」「親子共依存イメージ」であった。その中でひとり親の最も肯定的意見と関連があったのは、「親子共依存イメージ」であった。The number of one-parent families has been growing in Japan. One-parent families occur for different reasons. Some people are unmarried and are raising a family on their own, or they are separated or widowed. Many of these people suffer from social prejudice. The purpose of this research was focused on what variables are affecting university students’ opinions of one-parent families and to find out what their image is of single, separated or widowed　parents with children. There are a number of variables: society’s opinion of single-parents; opinions on people with children who remarry; opinions on gender roles; experience of taking classes on gender studies; one-parent families as reflected by the mass media; opinions on the students’ future with regard to marriage and having children and how these affected students’ opinions of single-parents and opinions on gender roles.There are four images of single parents with children. They are as follows: that children in one –parent families might be more independent; that the parents and children might be less dependent on each other; that there might be less communication between parents and children; that parents and children might be more co-dependent.
