    Study on automation of internal defect detection by photoacoustic effect

    A non-contact and non destractive internal defect could be detected by a low power semiconductor laser and a ultrasonic sensor using a photoacoustic effect. But the sensitivity of the ultrasonic sensor is low for detecting the photoacoustic signal. To detect the photoacoustic signal, a self-coupling effect of another semiconductor laser was used. The self-coupling sensor has high spatial resolution in comparison with the ultrasonic sensor. It takes a lot of time to detect detail defect profile manually. Then an automatic of internal defect detection by photoacoustic effect has been studied, in which X-Y auto stage and oscilloscope are connected to personal computer. It is found that by automatic measurement in defect detection the detective sensitivity becomes to be high and the processing time becomes to be short

    Identification of Senescence-associated Genes and Their Gene Function Groups in ASF-4 Fibroblasts Prepared from a Single Donor at Different Ages

    Cellular senescence is characterized by the arrest of cell proliferation, including the finite replicative lifespan of cells. Organismal aging involves changes at the organ, tissue, and cellular levels; however, the precise relationship between cellular senescence and individual aging remains to be elucidated. ASF-4 fibroblasts obtained from the same donor at 5 to 10 year intervals over 40 years. We previously reported that the lifespan of the cells is strongly correlated to the donor age of the cells. In this report, we measured the telomere length of the cells and performed RNA-Seq to identify senescence-associated genes, followed by gene ontology and KEGG pathway analyses to assess the cellular functions of the identified genes. The telomere length of ASF-4 cell lines shortened in a donor age-dependent manner and was strongly correlated with the donor age of the cells. Genes upregulated at older donor age were disproportionately associated with extracellular matrix and cell adhesion, while genes downregulated at older donor age were disproportionately associated with oxidative phosphorylation, tricarboxylic acid cycle, and protein synthesis and degradation. These results suggest that ASF-4 cell lines with different donor ages reflect age-related metabolic changes at the cellular level and cellular senescence is intimately related to individual aging.細胞老化は、有限な細胞寿命と細胞増殖の停止によって特徴づけられる。臓器の老化は、臓器、組織、細胞レベルでの変化を伴うが、細胞老化と個体の老化との正確な関係はまだ十分解明されていない。ASF-4細胞は、同一の提供者から40年間にわたって採取された細胞である。我々は以前、ASF-4細胞の細胞寿命が細胞の提供年齢に強く相関していることを報告した。本報告では、テロメア長を測定し、老化関連遺伝子を同定するためにRNA-Seqを行った。提供年齢に依存した発現の変化を示す遺伝子の機能を評価するために遺伝子オントロジーおよびKEGGパスウェイ解析を行った。ASF-4細胞のテロメア長は細胞の提供年齢依存的に短縮し、細胞の提供年齢と強い相関があった。提供年齢が高くなると発現が増加する遺伝子群は、細胞外マトリックスと細胞接着に関連しており、一方、発現が減少する遺伝子群は、酸化的リン酸化、TCA回路、タンパク質合成と分解に関連していた。これらの結果から、提供年齢の異なるASF-4細胞は、細胞レベルでの加齢に関連した代謝の変化を反映しており、細胞老化は個体の老化と密接に関係していることが示唆された。departmental bulletin pape

    背景 高齢化社会や医療の高度化の到来から, 看護学生の看護実践能力の強化の必要性が重要課題となっている. 目的 新設看護学部において看護実践能力が高い学生を育成するために必要と考えられる看護技術項目を明らかにすることを目的とした. 方法 各看護学領域代表者で技術項目検討委員会をもち, 本学部の教育理念に従って, 既存文献を参考にしながら, 項目を追加修正し, 各看護学領域が講義・演習・実習のどこで学習するかを確認した. 結果 学生の看護実践能力を育成する為の看護技術項目は19項目の大項目, 131の中項目, 160の小項目と整理し, 看護技術項目のシートを作成した. 結論 作成したシートは, 各看護学領域で学習する内容を講義の教材として活用し, 学生・教員・実習の指導者の3者間で, 個々の学生の看護技術の習得に有効であると考える. またそれは, 学生の看護実践能力の強化へと期待できる.Background With the aging of society and the advances in medical care technologies, it is increasingly important and necessary for nursing students to be able to use their nursing knowledge and skills in a practical setting. Educational institutions are therefore urged to provide the students with such training.Purpose The purpose of this paper is to clarify what skills are actually necessary and useful for students to become effective in their practice as nurses, and what training should be given at the new nursing department in order to enhance the practical nursing skills of students.Methods First, scholars and representatives of nursing-related fields formed a committee where skills required for achieving the purpose stated above were redefined in accordance with the university\u27s educational objectives. In revising the existing skills items, published information was also used as a reference. How each of the skills is learned, either in lectures, classroom training, or practical training, was confirmed by the committee.Results The nursing skills identified by the committee were classified into 19 skills of major importance, 131 skills of medium importance and 160 skills of less importance. The committee summarized them as a list of nursing skills.Conclusion The list can be used as teaching materials in the class, and can be used not only by teachers and advisors in the training but also by students. Students would refer to the list when learning nursing skills. Such use of the list may reinforce students\u27 ability to apply the obtained skills in their nursing performance

    斜面崩壊ハザードマップ構築のための基礎的研究 Ⅱ--陸域観測技術衛星 (ALOS)データを用いた鹿児島県大隅地方の斜面崩壊地抽出事例

    In recent years, the localized heavy rain of which the global warming may be a major reason has occurred frequently in several areas of Japan, especially the southern part of Kyusyu district. The huge landslide is caused by their heavy rains, so that the quest for evaluation and/or prediction of their effects over the mountainous area is a main concern for the protection of human life. This study therefore was conducted to develop an identification method for landslide by means of remote sensing technique. A high correlation coefficient for water contents in leaves was obtained from the normalized vegetation index (NDVI) described by the reflectance of red and near infrared (NIR). The water contents fluctuation (WCF) image developed by the ratio of different year NDVI images agreed well with the actual landslide. The result obtained in this study suggests that WCF image based on the data of Advanced Land Observation Satellite (ALOS) / Advanced Visible and Near Infrared Radiometer type2(AVNIR-2) can be successfully applied to identify the landslide
