    Recently, disasters occur frequently in Japan, then we are doing the restoration and reconstruction every time. In this process, remains caused by disasters tend to be eliminated from the reconstruction plans as negative legacy. However, those remains have begun being reviewed because they demonstrate the history of the land and they have a memorial value and lifelong educational value. In this study, we reveal the reconstruction process of the land that preserve the disaster remains and that is tourism of them, investigate the process and necessary items of preserving them, finally we aim to show the significance and effect to preserve the disaster remains

    The purpose of this study is to clarify the impact of housing policy focus on public housing during the post-war reconstruction period. Building process and change of land ownership were grasped by aerial photographs, map materials, newspaper databases and registry. As the result, the number of public housing units built was smaller than the required number. It was found that public housing pursued dwelling performance and location was selected based on the future potential, on the other hand general housing pointed to mass productivity

    Verification of Disclosure Method based on Preservation Process and Evaluation of Disaster Remnants

    The Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011 brought about enormous damage. After that, we paid attention disaster remnants through media and others immediately. However, disaster waste can be disposed in order to promote restoration and reconstruction at an earlystage, so many of them were removed. A new support framework for preservation was presented by the Reconstruction Agency, but it may become once and for all. For this reason, the establishment of a system to preserve them is still insufficient. Therefore, it is necessary to consider effective means for preservation and disclosure method of the disaster remnants. We must examine ways that can be reflected in various disasters. In this study, we can see that active preservation such as value evaluationof disaster remnants by the committees play a big role in preserving them. In addition, it is effective to do temporary preservation and avoid to make hasty decision
