Process and Effect of Preserving the Disaster Remains

Abstract

Recently, disasters occur frequently in Japan, then we are doing the restoration and reconstruction every time. In this process, remains caused by disasters tend to be eliminated from the reconstruction plans as negative legacy. However, those remains have begun being reviewed because they demonstrate the history of the land and they have a memorial value and lifelong educational value. In this study, we reveal the reconstruction process of the land that preserve the disaster remains and that is tourism of them, investigate the process and necessary items of preserving them, finally we aim to show the significance and effect to preserve the disaster remains
