Constructing KMS states from infinite-dimensional spectral triples

We construct KMS-states from $\mathrm{Li}_1$-summable semifinite spectral triples and show that in several important examples the construction coincides with well-known direct constructions of KMS-states for naturally defined flows. Under further summability assumptions the constructed KMS-state can be computed in terms of Dixmier traces. For closed manifolds, we recover the ordinary Lebesgue integral. For Cuntz-Pimsner algebras with their gauge flow, the construction produces KMS-states from traces on the coefficient algebra and recovers the Laca-Neshveyev correspondence. For a discrete group acting on its Stone-\v{C}ech boundary, we recover the Patterson-Sullivan measures on the Stone-\v{C}ech boundary for a flow defined from the Radon-Nikodym cocycle.Comment: 66 page

An experimental demonstration of single photon nonlocality

In this letter we experimentally implement a single photon Bell test based on the ideas of S. Tan et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett., vol. 66, 252 (1991)] and L. Hardy [Phys. Rev. Lett.,vol. 73, 2279 (1994)]. A double heterodyne measurement is used to measure correlations in the Fock space spanned by zero and one photons. Local oscillators used in the correlation measurement are distributed to two observers by co-propagating it in an orthogonal polarization mode. This method eliminates the need for interferometrical stability in the setup, consequently making it a robust and scalable method.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figures, revtex4 forma

Досліджуються погляди на трансформацію і моделювання культури, де мовні дискурси існують як феномен розуміння людського існування. (Cultural and historical anthropology comes forward as original reflection of development of man during millenniums. The author realizes the seeing of semiology as original reflection of culture of man and its world view. A culture becomes the horizon of anthropology. The looks are explored on transformation and design of culture, where linguistic discourses exist as the phenomenon of understanding of human existence.

Quadratic-in-magnetization permittivity and conductivity tensor in cubic crystals

We present diagonal and off-diagonal elements of the permittivity and conductivity tensor up to the second order in magnetization for cubic crystals. We express all tensor elements as a function of a general sample orientation, for arbitrary magnetization direction and for (001), (011) and (111) surface orientations. Finally, we discuss, how to extract values of quadratic elements G of the second order permittivity tensors for different sample surface orientations from both experiment and ab-initio calculations
