Svestka's Research: Then and Now

Zdenek Svestka's research work influenced many fields of solar physics, especially in the area of flare research. In this article I take five of the areas that particularly interested him and assess them in a "then and now" style. His insights in each case were quite sound, although of course in the modern era we have learned things that he could not readily have envisioned. Demonstration exercise focused on the knowledge of digital signal processing

Tato práce se zabývá zpracováním číslicových signálů a jejich zpracování pomocí Matlabu a Simulinku. Budou zde rozebrány základní druhy zpracování signálů a bude zde ukázána základní práce v programech Matlab a Simulink s budou ukázány jednoduché příklady práce v programech. Tato práce bude sloužit jako teoretický základ pro bakalářskou práci.This work deal with processing digital signal and their processing by the help of Matlabu and Simulinku. They will here parsed basic kinds processing signals and will here shown basic work in programmes Matlab and Simulink with they will shown simple example work in programmes. This work will serve as theoretic base for Bachelor´s thesis.

Strategy for Game Systems

Obsahem této práce je reprezentace chování umělé inteligence v počítačových hrách. Cílem bylo najít vhodné metody k její interpretaci. Tato problematika byla vyřešena implementací " map", což jsou n-rozměrné matice nesoucí informace o průběhu dané hry a dochází k jejich časté aktualizaci. V práci bylo použito několik druhů těchto matic a každá slouží k jinému účelu. Dále byl navrhnut způsob, jak se počítačový protivník může vyvíjet během dané partie hry a vytvořen algoritmus, který mu dává představu o prostoru, ve kterém se nachází. Přínosem práce je způsob, jakým lze " napodobit" chování skutečného hráče při hraní konkrétní hry. Řešení by také mohlo býti přínosem pro simulátor vojenských bitev ve skutečném světě.This thesis resolves the artificial intelligence representation in computer games. The goal was to find it's suitable interpretation methods. The issue was solved with "map"implementation, which is the n-dimension matrix holding the information about current game state for the concrete player. There were various types of these matrixes used in this thesis. Furthermore was designed a way to evolve computer opponents during the gameplay and created an algorithm, that gives the idea of the space in which it is located. Benefit from this thesis is a solution that makes artificial adversary close to human gameplay behavior. The outcome could also be used in simulators for military battles in real world.

Analysis of the Financial Efficiency of a Company Using Statistical Methods

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na analýzu vybraných ekonomických ukazatelů dopravní společnosti Stanislav Krobot s.r.o. s využitím vhodných statistických metod, na základě zjištěných dat hodnotí finanční situaci podniku a navrhuje případná řešení. Práce je rozdělena do několika hlavních částí. V teoretické části jsou probrány a vysvětleny veškerá východiska pro analýzu podniku, ale také pro využité statistické metody. V části analytické je poté popsána samotná analýza ekonomických ukazatelů podniku a pomocí vybraných statistických metod určena prognóza s možným budoucím vývojem společnosti. Návrhovou část tvoří kroky, které by měla firma Stanislav Krobot s.r.o. učinit pro zlepšení stávající situace.Bachelor’s thesis is focused on the analysis of selected economic indicators of the transport company Stanislav Krobot Ltd. using appropriate statistical methods, based on found data assesses the financial situation of the company and suggests posssible solutions. The thesis is devided into several main parts. In the theoretical part are discussed and explained all the bases for analysis of the company, but also for used statistical methods. In the analysis part is described the analysis of economic indicators of the company and by using chosen stastitical methods has been established possible future prognosis of company’s development. Suggestion part contains steps that the transport company Stanislav Krobot Ltd. should do to improve its situation.

Low time resolution analysis of polar ice cores cannot detect impulsive nitrate events

Ice cores are archives of climate change and possibly large solar proton events (SPEs). Wolff et al. (2012) used a single event, a nitrate peak in the GISP2-H core, which McCracken et al. (2001a) time associated with the poorly quantified 1859 Carrington event, to discredit SPE-produced, impulsive nitrate deposition in polar ice. This is not the ideal test case. We critique the Wolff et al. analysis and demonstrate that the data they used cannot detect impulsive nitrate events because of resolution limitations. We suggest re-examination of the top of the Greenland ice sheet at key intervals over the last two millennia with attention to fine resolution and replicate sampling of multiple species. This will allow further insight into polar depositional processes on a sub-seasonal scale, including atmospheric sources, transport mechanisms to the ice sheet, post-depositional interactions, and a potential SPE association.Comment: 22 pages, 7 figures in Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics 119, 201

Prototype Verification of Modification of Evolutionary Algorithm

Tato práce se zabývá evolučními algoritmy s vazbou na problém plánování přistávání letounů na letištích. Cílem práce je vytvořit genetický algoritmus na řešení této úlohy, aplikovat zvolené modifikace od vedoucího práce, výsledky statisticky zpracovat a porovnat. Hledání řešení problému probíhá za pomoci různých selekčních metod, které jsou blíže porovnány a vyhodnoceny. Vstupní data pro konkrétní úlohu jsou použity z Operations research knihovny. Výstupem práce je náhled na evoluční přístup k programování a jeho využití.This thesis is about evolutionary algorithms with a concrete solution for an Aircraft Landing Problem. The goal is to create a genetic algorithm for this task resolution, apply selected modifications and compare all outputs. The program runs with different selection methods which are further reviewed. Input data are taken from Operations research library for this task. The outcome of this thesis gives a closer look to evolutionary programming and it’s problem resolution.

Streamlining of a Project for a Selected Organization

Diplomová práce se zabývá komplexní analýzou projektu vybrané organizace, na základě které jsou navrhována určitá opatření mající za cíl zefektivnit a vylepšit tento projekt do budoucích let. K tomuto využívá teoretických základů a metod projektového management, popřípadě dalších příbuzných oborů.The diploma thesis deals with a complex analysis of an organization’s project, based on which are proposed certain steps that should increase efficiency and enhance this project in the future years. The thesis uses theoretical foundations and methods of project management, eventually other related fields.

Developments of Car Drive Train

Bakalářská práce obsahuje poznatky o vývoji a dnešním použití třecích převodovek s plynule měnitelným převodem použitých v automobilech. Obsahuje konstrukci a princip funkce těchto převodovek. Dále obsahuje jejich výhody a nevýhody vzhledem ke konvenčním převodovkám. V závěru je autorův náhled na vývoj a použití třecích převodovek s plynule měnitelným převodem v automobilechThe final project contains the relavant piece of evidence about the development and use of frictional gearbox with the infinitely variable transmission, which is used in cars. The construction and the principle of those gearboxes is also described. Furtermore, advantages and disadvantages are assessed with respect to the conventional gearbox. Finally, the author’s opinions and views about frictional gearbox with the infinitely variable transmission are presented.

The instruments of monetary policy and their legal regulation Abstract The goal of this paper was to perform a comprehensive analysis of Monetary Policy Instruments of the Czech Republic and the Eurosystem, including the historical, economic and international aspects of the subject matter. As the topic is significantly overlapping with economic theory, the theoretical grounds were first defined in the parts concerning historical analysis, the scope of the Czech National Bank, monetary policy and economic theory. The legal analysis of the instruments of the Czech monetary policy itself was then carried out especially in a general and special part; a comparative analysis with of the Eurosystem instruments was carried out afterward as well. The purpose of a general analysis of Czech Monetary Policy Instruments was to generalize the findings and the common features of the similar monetary policy instruments and therefore the author chose the procedure consisting in definition of the notion of the monetary policy instrument, the division of the instruments and particular instrument specification. In the following part, the author deals with the legal regime of specified monetary policy instruments. The research...Nástroje měnové politiky a jejich právní úprava Abstrakt Cílem této práce bylo provedení komplexního rozboru nástrojů měnové politiky České republiky a Eurosystému zahrnující historické, ekonomické a mezinárodní aspekty uvedené problematiky. Kvůli přesahu uvedeného tématu do ekonomické teorie byly nejprve vymezeny teoretické základy v částech pojednávajících o historickém rozboru, působnosti České národní banky, měnové politice a ekonomické teorii. Samotný právní rozbor nástrojů české měnové politiky byl poté proveden především v obecné a zvláštní části, přičemž v práci byla provedena též komparační analýza s nástroji používanými v Eurosystému. Účelem obecného rozboru nástrojů české měnové politiky bylo generalizovat poznatky a shodné rysy podobných nástrojů měnové politiky, a proto byl zvolen postup definice pojmu nástroj měnové politiky, členění nástrojů a vymezení nástrojů měnové politiky pro účely právního rozboru. Ve zvláštní části se poté autor zabýval právním režimem konkrétně vymezených nástrojů měnové politiky. Práce přináší konkrétní poznatky ohledně právního režimu jednotlivých nástrojů měnové politiky. Opensource Solution of Electronic Sales Records with Warehousing and Portal for Customers

Tato práce se zabývá studií webových technologií pro vývoj informačních systémů, analýzou požadavků, návrhem a implementací systému pro prodej zboží, který podporuje evidenci tržeb do EET, evidenci skladu a dále nabízí portál pro zákazníky sloužícího pro předání účtenek a zajištění podpory pomocí tiketovacího systému. Návrh systému vychází z již realizované pokladny a bude oproti ní pokročilejším a daleko univerzálnějším řešením. Aplikace je postavena na běžně dostupných a bezplatných technologiích, a to PHP7.1 s použitím frameworku Nette, CSS frameworku Bootstrap a knihovny jQuery. Velmi užitečnou funkcí pokladny je našeptávač produktů, který je založen na algoritmu Apriori. Našeptávač našeptává produkty na základě položek z akutálně otevřeného účtu a analýzy zakoupených položek z již realizovaných dokladů. Kompletní řešení bude následně uvolněno veřejnosti jako opensource, které dosud neexistuje.The aim of this term project is to study web technologies for developing information systems, requirements analysis, a system design for selling goods which supports sales recording to electronic records of sales and stock recording. It also offers the customer portal for bills handover and customer support by a ticket system. The system design is based on already developed cash register and in comparison with it will be a more advanced and far more universal solution. The application is built on commonly available and free technologies, such as PHP 7.1 with Nette framework, CSS framework Bootstrap and jQuery. Very useful function of cash is the product suggester which is based on the Apriori algorithm. The suggester suggests products based on items from the actual opened bill and analysed receipts with previously purchased items. The complete solution will then be released to the public as an opensource, which does not exist yet.
