The aim of the thesis is the analysis of the operational risk framework in TATRA TRUCKS company, and based on the analysis results will try to propose possible directions for elimination of risk factors identified. The first part focuses on the theoretical analysis and in the second part are analyzed operational risks in this company. The last section is part of the suggestions where are mentioned specific protective measures that can be used.152 - Katedra podnikohospodářskávelmi dobř

POSSIBILITIES OF BUILDING OF WIDE-GAUGE RAILWAY IN THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC

The contribution deals with an ambitious project, which is the extension of the current wide-gauge railway from Haniska near Košice to Vienna, thus eliminating the transshipment of wagons and overall it should rapidly increase in volume of goods transported by railway from Asian countries without transshipment to Central Europe. The problem itself lies in the disunited view to building a wide-gauge railway led from the territory of Ukraine across the Slovak Republic for needs of the raw materials transportation to Western Europe. The aim is to establish a theoretical base, to evaluate current infrastructure, to analyze the current status and the overall profitability of the project of wide-gauge railway for Slovakia. The aim is to evaluate the advantage or disadvantage of the possibility of extending the already existing wide-gauge railway across the whole territory of the Slovak Republic, which should in practice, meant the construction of approximately 390 to 430 kilometers of new railway track and at least one terminal of combined transport in the Slovak Republic and the European Union. Although the project has been known for a relatively long time, the discussion about this project is conducted in professional circles for nearly 10 years

Sociálne a vzdelávacie funkcie (literárnych) naratív

    Get PDF
The study deals with social and educational functions of (literary) narratives – both oral and written – in everyday life of a socially grounded individual. Narratives (or stories told or read) play an essential role in building and strengthening social bonds within a community (by spending time together, informing its members of preferred social values and behaviour patterns, etc.) The author sustains that narratives circulating within a particular community (or ethnic group, nation) should be viewed and analyzed from the perspective of cultural anthropology. As an educational tool, stories are utilized not only in families and schools, but also in penitentiary and correctional institutions or in public reading courses. The author also pays attention to particular structural components of “captivating” narratives (such as novelty, surprise, cognitive and/or emotional relevance to the reader, etc.) and so-called narrative universals – themes, types of characters, plots and settings that are common to all cultures worldwide (such as romantic love, human desires and needs, sacrifice, etc.).The study deals with social and educational functions of (literary) narratives – both oral and written – in everyday life of a socially grounded individual. Local structure change evidenced by temperature-dependent elastic measurements: Case study on Bi1/2Na1/2TiO3-based lead-free relaxor piezoceramics

The temperature-dependent Young's modulus Y(T) of the lead-free piezoceramics of 0.8Bi(1/2)Na(1/2)TiO(3)-0.2Bi(1/2)K(1/2)TiO(3) (20BKT) and 0.96(0.8Bi(1/2)Na(1/2)TiO(3)-0.2Bi(1/2)K(1/2)TiO(3))-0.04 BiZn1/2Ti1/2O3 (4BZT) is measured with the impulse excitation technique and contrasted with corresponding dielectric and structural data. While the dielectric properties suggest a phase transition, the high resolution XRD patterns remain virtually unchanged from room temperature up to high temperatures, confirming no change in their long-range order. In contrast, the elastic properties indicate a broad and diffuse ferroelastic transition denoted by a minimum in Y(T). By analogy to the elastic and dielectric data of PbZrxTi1-xO3 and PLZT, it is concluded that 20BKT and 4BZT are relaxors with polar nanoregions embedded in a metrically cubic matrix. Interestingly, no indication for the freezing temperature was reflected in any of the employed measurement techniques. From the saturation of Y(T), it is suggested that the Burns temperature may be approximated as 700 degrees C. Moreover, it is found that the modification with the ternary end-member BiZn1/2Ti1/2O3 results in an increase in Young's modulus. A comparison with the Bi1/2Na1/2TiO3-BaTiO3-K0.5Na0.5NbO3 yields the same results.open0

Use of GPS method in the measurement of the positional shift of a ground dam

    No full text
Because of qualitative changes in the precision of the apparatus and the methods of determination of the space position of points on the earth surface (GPS method), as well as because of the fact that in the measurement there are shifts (observed points) relatively to the near surroundment (reference points), posibilities of the use of these technologies and apparatus are studied also in the engineering geodesy – the field to which the measurements of deformation belong. The article presents results of the experimental confirmation of the GPS method in the determination of positional shifts of the ground dam Liptovská Mara
