    KOMPETENCIJE I VJEŠTINE: JAZ IZMEĐU VISOKOG OBRAZOVANJA I TRŽIŠTA RADA

    Achieving synergy between market demands and knowledge, competencies, and skills offered by higher education is a great challenge and represents a responsibility that most commonly resides with educators. The aim of this paper is to investigate the gap between the offered competencies and skills provided to students after they complete their higher education and the demands of the labour market in the area of marketing. In order to define the features of the gap, qualitative research was conducted using the group interview method (focus group), after which the results showed that the competencies and skills offered on the higher education market correspond to a certain extent to the competencies and skills demanded on the labour market. However, it was determined that the gap existed, and it was necessary to reduce it. Further adaptations and changes in higher education are necessary, but it is all held back by slow development, administrative overload, and inertia, both in higher education institutions and among its stakeholders.Uspostaviti sinergiju između potreba tržišta i znanja, kompetencija i vještina koje pruža visoko obrazovanje velik je izazov i odgovornost koja je najčešće na onima koji rade u obrazovanju. Cilj rada je prepoznati jaz između ponuđenih kompetencija i vještina koje student dobiva završetkom visokog obrazovanja i potreba tržišta rada u području marketinga. Kako bi se utvrdio jaz, provedeno je kvalitativno istraživanje putem metode skupnog intervjua (fokus grupe). Rezultati su pokazali kako su kompetencije i vještine koje se nude na tržištu visokog obrazovanja povezane s kompetencijama i vještinama koje se traže na tržištu rada. Ipak, nužna su daljnja prilagođavanja i promjene u visokom obrazovanju, ali sve koči sporost, administracija i inertnost, kako institucija visokoškolskog obrazovanja, tako i njihovih dionika

    INFLUENCE OF THE SHOOTS REMOVAL ON YIELD AND MUST QUALITY INDICATORS OF THE VARIETY TRAMINER (V.vinifera L.)

    Istraživanje je provedeno tijekom 2017. godine na pokušalištu Poljoprivrednog fakulteta u Osijeku, koji je smješten u vinogorju Đakovo na lokalitetu Mandićevac. Cilj ovog eksperimentalnog rada bio je utvrditi kako smanjeno opterećenje trsa, odnosno zahvat uklanjanja mladica utječe na kvantitativna svojstva kao što su urod, broj grozdova i masa grozda, te kvalitativna svojstva koja ubrajaju sadržaj šećera, ukupnu kiselost i realnu kiselost mošta sorte Traminac (Vitis vinifera L.). Pokus je postavljen na dva reprezentativna reda koji su predstavljali tretman i kontrolu s ukupno 50 pokusnih jedinica. Mjerenje parametara obavljalo se u nasadu vinove loze tijekom berbe i u laboratoriju za Voćarstvo, vinogradarstvo i vinarstvo na Poljoprivrednom fakultetu. Analizom varijance za sva ispitivana svojstva utvrđena je signifikantna razlika uvjetovana ampelotehničkim zahvatom uklanjanja mladica. Ovim pokusom došlo je do visoko značajnog smanjenja uroda i broja grozdova, znatnog povećanja sadržaja šećera, smanjenja ukupne kiselosti i povećanja realne kiselosti - pH mošta.Experiment was set up during 2017 on experimental field of Faculty of Agrculture in Osijek, which is situated in vineyard Đakovo on Mandićevac. The aim of this experimental work was to determine how the reduced load of vine, that is, removal procedure of the shoot affects on quantitative characteristics such as yield, number of clusters, its mass and qualitative characteristics which are amount of sugar, total acidity and real acidity of Traminer must variety (Vitis vinifera L.) The experiment was set up on two representative rows which presented treatment and control with the total of fifty experimental units. Parameter measurement took place in vine plantings during grape harvest and in Laboratory for Pomolology, Viticulture and Enology of Faculty of Agriculture. Variance analysis for all examined characteristics showed significant difference conditioned by ampelotechnological removal procedure of the shoot. This experiment led to highly significant yield decrease and decrease in number of clusters, substantial increase in amount of sugar, decrease of total acidity and increase of real acidity- pH value of must

    Ovaj rad reinterpretirajući nalaze većeg broja istraživanja odnosa mladih prema radu ukazuje na potrebu kritičkog promišljanja pronađenih dominantnih opredijeljenosti za »orijentaciju prema samoaktualizaciji«. Autorica se zalaže za djelomično napuštanje uobičajenog postupka pri istraživanju radnih vrijednosti suprotstavljajući mu jedan »dubinski« pristup, odnosno, umjesto ustanovljavanja hijerarhije među različitim vrijednostima — zasebno razmatranje pojedinih orijentacija prema radu. Upravo u ovom smislu se u tekstu traga za značenjem kategorija samoaktualizacije u radu i konstatira potvrđenost pretpostavke o aspirativnom karakteru samoaktualizacije. Naime, očiti raskorak između onoga što mladi žele i mogu postići u radu kojeg obavljaju vodi s obzirom na raskorak potreba i mogućnosti prema negodovanju, to jest preferiranju intrinzičnih radnih vrijednosti možemo shvatiti kao svojevrsni apel mlade generacije za promjenu društvenih uvjeta. U ovom kontekstu intrinzične radne vrijednosti imaju funkciju kritike postojećeg.In this paper, the author, reinterpreting the findings of a number of research projects concerning young people\u27s attitudes towards work, indicates the need for a critical consideration of the extracted dominant choices for the »orientation towards self-actualization«. The author pleads for a partial abandonment of the usual »vertical« proceeding in the research of work values, juxtaposing the »depth« approach; in other words, instead of established a hierarchy of different values — a separate consideration of individual orientations towards work is preferred. With precisely this aim in mind, an attempt is made in the text to uncover the meaning of the categories of self-actualization in work, and to confirm the presupposition concerning the aspirational character of self-actualization. Namely, an obvious gap between what young people want and can achieve in their work, regarding the discrepancy of needs and potential, leads to dissatisfaction; in other words, giving preference to intrinsic work values can be interpreted as a specific young generation’s appeal for the change of social conditions. In this context, intrinsic work values have the function of criticism of all that exists

    In the last several years, the amount of research on the lack of academic integrity and unethical behaviour of students has increased. On the one hand, technological development has spurred unethical behaviour, while on the other hand it has enabled better control of the same behaviour. This raises the question if the students behave unethically and why, and which factors influence their unethical behaviour. The research was conducted on a sample of 622 university students. The aim of the study was to determine if students’ personal attitudes on unethical behaviour influence their intentions to engage in unethical behaviour, i.e. the aim is to determine the connection between the attitudes and the intended behaviour. The results of the regression analysis show a statistically significant positive correlation between the students’ general personal attitudes toward unethical behaviour and their future intentions toward unethical behaviour. This leads to the necessity for control and supervision regarding unethical behaviour and a stricter approach to such behaviour, which would ultimately result in the reduction of intentions toward further unethical behaviour among students

    HIGHER EDUCATION SPILLOVER – THE HIGHWAY TO REGIONAL SUCCESS

    The aim of this paper is to answer how regional sector influences higher education. These regional differences generate interest in the study of economic growth and regional development. The crucial role in spillover process is played by higher education institutions as they are the promoters of research and knowledge that stems from it. Higher education institutions should be involved in the innovation system at regional level in order to create a stimulating and competitive environment for the future growth and development. Additionally, the paper presents, compares and analyses contemporary phenomena related to the regional dimension of innovation and the role of higher education institutions in Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia. Besides teaching and research, higher education institutions must develop and emerge a “third mission” through research and technology commercialization, joint research projects, spin-off formation, mobility of researchers/teachers/students to industry and vice versa, and involvement in local and regional development projects as well. However, this is not only about knowledge spillover in some delimitated sectors, but transforming and reinvigorating the whole society on regional level

    In the conditions of modern business, all business systems, therefore also in the field of construction,need to find new solutions on a daily basis in order to maintain and increase their competitiveness on the market. It is possible to achieve competitiveness primarily by performing non-standard procedures, such as projects. Having in mind that the number of projects is constantly rising in the world, it is necessary to achieve the highest possible level of successful and efficiently carried out projects. In order to achieve this it is necessary to develop certain elements of project competence in people who participate in planning, preparing and conducting projects. Developing these competences is possible by combining knowledge and experience, primarily through a lifelong learning process. Since the number of organizations that carry out certain forms of formal or informal education in the field of project management is rising in the Republic of Croatia, each of these institutions needs to build their competitiveness on the implementation of a marketing business concept. Because of the aforementioned reasons the authors analyse the supply of educational services in the field of project management in the Republic of Croatia, with a special overview of the specialist graduate professional study of Project Management conducted at the “B. A. Krčelić“ College of Business and Management in Zaprešić. This paper places an emphasis on projects based on the marketing orientation of the study, by means of which the College increases the quality of its educational services and tries to achieve a competitive advantage on the educational market
