The influence of developing technology and mother’s songs; lullabies

Just like changing every phenomenon of life, developing technologies have affected mother’s songs/lullabies, which are precious treasures of our culture and they are technologically shaping our mother’s songs/lullabies in an artificial way. Today, with the developing technology we are able to make the babies listen to lullabies without touching the babies or without having eye contact with the babies. In fact, this situation affects mother-infant communication and interaction and the quality bond between mother-infant adversely. Compared to the impact of mother’s singing the lullabies traditionally to the baby by touching, looking and stroking; the impact of making the babies listen to the lullabies with technological tools has become a matter of discussion. However; the latter is not as effective as the lullabies that are sung with the mother's natural voice and are important treasure chest of our own culture. Thus, it was aimed with this study to investigate the effect of today's technology on mother’s songs/lullabies that are very significant artistic aspect of the communication between mother-infant and hold a very deep place in our culture

Okul Öncesi Eğitim Kurumlarındaki Çocukların Annelerinin Müzik Eğitimine Bakış Açısı

Müzik belli bir amaç ve yöntemle, belli bir güzellik anlayışına göre birleştirilmişseslerden oluşan estetik bir bütündür. Müzik eğitimi ise bireye kendi yaşantısıyoluyla amaçlıolarak belirli davranışlarıkazandırma ya da bireyin müziksel davranışında kendi yaşantısıyoluyla amaçlıolarak belirli değişiklikler oluşturmasısürecidir. Eğitim; öğretim yolu ile bireylere verilir. Eğitim ve öğretime eşgüdümlü olarak sanat eğitimi ve sanat eğitiminin içinde müzik eğitimi, bireyin düşünme yetisi ve duyu algılarının gelişimini sağlar. Bu bağlamda sanat, dolayısıyla sanatın bir parçasıolan müzik, kişilerin eğitiminde son derece önemlidir. Çocukların eğitiminde okul ve öğretmen dışındaki en önemli etken ailedir. Hatta aile kurumu içerisinde de anne en önemli faktör olarak gösterilebilir. Müzik eğitiminde aile desteği önemli olduğundan aileleri çocukların müziksel ilgi ve durumlarıyla ilgili bilinçlendirmek de eğitimcilerin üzerine düşen görevlerdendir. Araştırmalar göstermektedir ki müzik eğitimi çocuğun gelişimini olumlu yönde etkilemektedir. Bunun oluşturulabilmesi de ailelerin müzik eğitimine olumlu bakışaçılarına sahip olmasınıgerektirir. Bu yüzden annenin müzik eğitimine bakışaçısıaraştırmanın problemini oluşturmaktadır. Okulöncesi eğitim kurumlarında eğitim alan çocukların annelerinin müzik eğitimi ile ilgili düşüncelerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıve okulöncesi dönemde çocukların müziksel gelişiminde annenin rolünün önemine değinilmesi, bu araştırmanın amacınıoluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Afyonkarahisar ve Konya il merkezindeki okulöncesi eğitim kurumlarında eğitim alan çocukların anneleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma örneklemini Afyonkarahisar il örneğindeki rasgele seçilen 100 anne ile Konya il örneğindeki 100 anne olmak üzere toplam 200 anne oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracıolarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan anket formu kullanılmıştır. Annelere 9 tanesi demografik olmak üzere toplam 24 soru sorulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler SPSS de uygun görülen istatistiksel işlemlere tabi tutularak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre; okulöncesi dönemde, annelerin çoğunluğu %89.2 çocuklarının müzik yeteneğinin ortaya çıkarılmasınıve geliştirilmesini, ayrıca müzik eğitiminin diğer gelişim alanlarına katkısıolduğunu Konya’da %59, Afyon’da %41 düşünmektedirler. Genel olarak annelerin, çocuklarının öğreniminde müzik eğitiminin kullanılmasının gerekliliği hakkındaki düşünceleri olumlu yönde çıkmıştır

The Opınıon of Musıc Teachers about The Reflectıon of Theır Gaıns From Personal Voıce Educatıon Lessons to Theır Career

AbstractIn this research, the semi-structured interview technique has been used, whice is one of the qualitative research methods. In the research, criteria sampling has been profited, which is one of the purposeful sampling types. The music teachers to be graduated from faculty of education and to be given Personal Voice Education lessons in their undergraduate study are taken as the basic criteria and 10 music teachers who fit these criteria are taken as attendee in this research. The researcher has used semi-structured interview forms for the interviews. The personal interviews are recorded by using a voice recorder. The data obtained from the research, will be coded by seperating into themes- sub-themes and categories with content analysis technique. The analysis’ which are made independently by the researcher and the area specialist will compared and the reliableness will be calculated by using Miles and Huberman's formula. In the light of these findings, conclusion and suggestions will be included

Begınners Level Voıce Traınıng Approaches in Opera/Sıngıng Educatıon in Turkey

Bu araştırma, Türkiye'deki opera/şan eğitimi veren kurumlarda başlangıç düzeyi olan hazırlık ya da lisans 1. sınıfta, ses eğitmenlerinin, öğrencilerini eğitirken nasıl bir yöntem izledikleri, nelere önem verdikleri, teknik ve uygulamalarının neler olduğu ile ilgili temel konuları içermektedir. Türkiye'de şan pedagojisi ve uzmanların yaklaşımlarını belirlemek adına özgün ve yeni bir çalışma olması hedeflenmiş, bunun için nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden örnek olay incelemesi uygun görülmüş, İzmir, Ankara ve İstanbul'da Devlet Konservatuvarlarında eğitim vermekte olan uzmanlarla katılımlı görüşme ve derslerini gözlem yoluyla veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; alt problemlere göre düzenlenen veriler işlenmiş ve ses eğitiminin temel tekniği olan nefes, ses egzersizleri, ders süresi, uygulanan repertuvar ve değerlendirme konularına yönelik görüşler, uygulamalar ve eğitim yaklaşımları tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın alana katkı sağlayacağı, opera/şan eğitiminde pedagojik yaklaşımlarla ilgili yeni araştırmalara destek olacağı düşünülmektedir.This research, contains the basic issues related with, how is the method that voice trainers in the preparation classes or 1st grades in the institutions in Turkey giving opera/singing education, use to train their students, what are their priorities,and what are the techniques and practices they use. In this study it is aimed to make an original and new study to determine the approaches of singing pedagogy and specialists in Turkey. To achieve this aim, case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods, is chosen and the data is collected via interview and lesson observation techniques from profesors giving lectures in State Conservatories in İzmir, Ankara and İstanbul. As the conclusion of this research; the data, which is arranged according to the sub-problems are processed and the concepts, practices and practical education approaches related with breath, which is the basic technique in voice training, voice exercises, lesson length, the repertory practised and evaluation. It is thought that this research will contribute the educational practices in vocal training and will support the new researches related with the pedagogical approaches in opera/singing education

Examination of Postgraduate Theses in the Field Of Music Technologies In Turkey Between 2018-2022

The development of technology affects human life and interests in many areas. This research was carried out to classify the postgraduate theses in the field of music technologies covering the years 2018-2022 in Turkey in order to reveal the effects of technological developments on music. Since the specified time period includes the Covid-19 pandemic period, it is among the sub-objectives of the research to determine the situation as a leading indicator of the effect on the thesis studies. The research is a descriptive study from qualitative research methods. The content and scope of the research consist of a total of 31 postgraduate theses that can be accessed on the thesis screening page of the Council of Higher Education between 2018-2022. In the thesis studies reached for the research, the concepts related to music technologies included in the keywords, subject headings, and abstracts of the theses constitute the limitations of the research. Although these concepts include the expressions "Computer, technology, sound recording, digital, recording technologies, sound technologies, music technologies, studio, software", the ones related to the field of music have been scanned. The data obtained were classified according to academic degrees, years, universities, institutes, subjects, the language in which they were written, and thesis titles and were analyzed by making frequency/percentage distributions. Based on the data obtained, it was concluded that the master's theses in the field of music technology are in the majority, the studies are based in Istanbul, and the Social Sciences Institutes are dominant based on the institute.
