    Representasi makna cantik merupakan suatu bentuk menampilkan ulang makna cantik yang dilakukan oleh para mahasiswi sebagai bentuk aktualisasi diri mereka di masyarakat. Representasi makna cantik yang dilakukan oleh para mahasiswi terinspirasi dari salah seorang influencer laki-laki yang berpenampilan layaknya seorang perempuan yang bernama Jovi Adhiguna. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana para mahasiswi merepresentasikan makna cantik setelah menonton vlog Jovi untuk dapat mengaktualisasikan dirinya serta memahami bagaimana pola interaksi yang terjadi diantara para mahasiswi dengan kerabat dan lingkungan sekitarnya berkaitan dengan tampilan dari para mahasiswi setelah mengikuti representasi dari vlog Jovi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada para mahasiswi, kerabat mahasiswi, serta pakar. Terdapat empat hasil penelitian, yang pertama ada dua bentuk representasi makna cantik para mahasiswi yaitu menampilkan riasan wajah dan juga penggunaan pakaian bagi mahasiswi. Yang kedua terdapat pengaruh peningkatan percaya diri dan rasa puas dari para mahasiswi sebagai bentuk aktualisasi diri. Yang ketiga terdapat dua pola interaksi sosial yang terjadi antara para mahasiswi dengan kerabat serta lingkungan sekitar yaitu pola interaksi langsung dan tidak langsung. Selanjutnya yang keempat terdapat hasil penelitian mengenai implikasi terhadap pembelajaran sosiologi yaitu terdapat nilai dan norma sosial yang berlaku di masyarakat yang disesuaikan oleh para mahasiswi serta terbentuknya kelompok sosial dengan para anggota yang mengikuti Jovi pada akun media sosialnya. The representation of meaning of beauty performed by the students came from one of the male influencers who looked like a woman named Jovi Adhiguna. The purpose of this researh was to find out how the students represented the meaning of beauty after watching Jovi’s vlog to be able to actualize themselves and how the interaction patterns occurred between the female college students with theirs relatives and surroundings related to the appearance of the female students after following the representation from Jovi’s vlog. This research used qualitative approach with phenomenological method. In this research, researchers conducted interviews with female college students, female college student relatives, and experts. There are four result from the research, the first, there are two forms of representation from the meaning of beauty for female collage students, specifically displaying facial make-up and also the use of clothes for female collage students. Secondly, there is an increase of self-confidence and satisfaction from female collage students as a form of self-actualization. Third, there are two patterns of social interaction that occur between female collage students and their relatives along with their surrounding, that is the patterns of direct and indirect interactions. The fourth, There are results regarding the implications for sociology learning from the research, that is there are social values and norms that apply in society that are adjusted by female students and the formation of social groups with members who follow Jovi on their social media accounts.     Social network analysis of the video bloggers\u27 community in YouTube

    This research studied the structure of the social network of the video blogger community on YouTube. It analyzed the social network structure of friends and subscribers of the 187 video bloggers on YouTube and calculated the social network measures. This thesis compares the results to the structure described by Warmbrodt et al. in 2007 and explains the reasons for the distinctions. The number of video bloggers has increased enormously, and the form of their interactions has changed. As a result, the video blogger social network has evolved from a core/periphery structure to one that is centralized. Keywords :Experimental Research, Blogging Videos, Teaching, Speaking, The Eighth Grade Students The main objective of this research is to find out whether there is or not a significant difference of student‟s speaking between students who are taught by vlog and those who are taught by blog. The hypothesis of this study is there is any significant difference of speaking between students taught by using vlog and those taught by blog. The researcher used vlog in teaching speaking at the eighth grade students of SMP Al-Islam 1 Surakarta in the academic year 2017/2018. The research method was experimental research (pretest-posttest group design). In taking the sample, the writer used purposive sampling technique. The sample of the research was the eighth grade students of VIII A as the experimental class and VIII B as the control class. Each of them consised of 25 students for experimental class, and 26 students for control class. The data were in the form of quantitative data and they were taken from speaking test before having three times treatment for each class (pretest), and speaking test after having three times treatment for each class (posttest). The data were analyzed by using T-test formula. It is used to determine whether there was a significant difference between the average score of the experimental and the control class or not. The mean score of the experimental class was , while the mean score of control class was. It means that the students who are taught by using vlog have better than those who are taught by using blog. Result of tvalue (8.333) which is higher than ttable (2.056) or tvalue > ttable. It showed that to was higher than tt (to>tt). Therefore, the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted while the Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that, there is a significant difference in student‟s speaking between students who are taught by using vlog and those who are taught by using blog. Based on the result findings, it can be concluded that the use of vlog in teaching speaking is effective. Therefore, vlog can be implemented as one of the effective media of teaching to teach speaking

    Σύγχρονο Μεντιακό Περιβάλλον και Έφηβοι: Διερεύνηση, Ανάλυση και Πρόσληψη των Vlogs

    Η παρούσα έρευνα στοχεύει στη διερεύνηση του δίπολου “Έφηβοι - Vlogs”. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, μελετώνται τα οπτικοακουστικά κείμενα, με τα οποία έρχονται σε επαφή οι νέοι ηλικίας 14 -18 ετών, μέσα από τη νέα διαδικτυακή τάση των vlogs, το περιεχόμενό τους, καθώς και η πρόσληψή τους από τη συγκεκριμένη πληθυσμιακή ομάδα. Με βασικό στόχο την ολιστική προσέγγιση του αντικειμένου και την ορθότερη εξαγωγή συμπερασμάτων, εξετάστηκε τόσο η παραγωγή των οπτικοακουστικών κειμένων όσο και η πρόσληψή τους από τη μελετώμενη πληθυσμιακή ομάδα, μέσα από την εφαρμογή τριγωνοποιημένων ερευνητικών μεθόδων. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, πραγματοποιήθηκαν 2 ποσοτικές έρευνες κοινού, με χρήση ηλεκτρονικού ερωτηματολογίου και τη συμμετοχή νέων ηλικίας 14 - 18 ετών, και ποιοτική ανάλυση περιεχομένου επιλεγμένων οπτικοακουστικών κειμένων. Τα αποτελέσματα, που προέκυψαν και συζητούνται, αφορούν τη στάση, τις χρήσεις και τις προτιμήσεις των νέων σε σχέση με τη νέα διαδικτυακή τάση των vlogs καθώς και το περιεχόμενο των εν λόγω κειμένων. Η παρούσα έρευνα ευελπιστούμε να συμβάλλει στην παραγωγή νέας γνώσης σχετικά με το συνεχώς διαμορφούμενο σύγχρονο μεντιακό περιβάλλον και τους εφήβους.This study aims at investigating the dipole “teens - vlogs”. In particular, we attempt to analyze the audiovisual texts that teens, at the age of 14 - 18, prefer to watch through the new online trend of vlogging. Furthermore, we analyze vlogs’ content and their reception from the target population in Greece. In order to achieve a holistic approach and draw some accurate conclusions, we examine both production and reception of vlogs, using the research method of triangulation. Our study includes two quantitative surveys and a qualitative content analysis of selected audiovisual texts. The obtained survey data interpret how adolescents react to vlogs and, hopefully, this study makes a useful contribution to the growing field of “new media environment and teens”
