    Trust and Privacy Solutions Based on Holistic Service Requirements

    The products and services designed for Smart Cities provide the necessary tools to improve the management of modern cities in a more efficient way. These tools need to gather citizens’ information about their activity, preferences, habits, etc. opening up the possibility of tracking them. Thus, privacy and security policies must be developed in order to satisfy and manage the legislative heterogeneity surrounding the services provided and comply with the laws of the country where they are provided. This paper presents one of the possible solutions to manage this heterogeneity, bearing in mind these types of networks, such as Wireless Sensor Networks, have important resource limitations. A knowledge and ontology management system is proposed to facilitate the collaboration between the business, legal and technological areas. This will ease the implementation of adequate specific security and privacy policies for a given service. All these security and privacy policies are based on the information provided by the deployed platforms and by expert system processing

    Atribut-atribut yang melekat pada suatu produk khususnya produk “Internet of Things” (IoT) memiliki pengaruh pada pengalaman fungsional maupun emosional penggunanya sehingga pada akhirnya memengaruhi minal beli terhadap produk yang bersangkutan. Saat ini hampir semua pemilik kendaraan bermotor khususnya kendaraan roda empat menggunakan aplikasi GPS Navigasi. Pengalaman fungsional  merupakan penilaian pelanggan yang rasional yang meliputi manfaat secara fungsional yang mereka dapatkan dari penggunaan suatu produk. Pengalaman emosional terhadap suatu produk bisa berbentuk kepercayaan, harga diri, kedekatan dan menanamkan nilai yang tidak hanya berbentuk nilai fungsional semata. Dalam penelitian ini variabel independen yang diteliti ada 6 yaitu: konektivitas, interaktivitas, rasa kehadiran, kecerdasan, kenyamanan, keamanan, sedangkan variabel mediasi yang digunakan adalah pengalaman fungsional dan pengalaman emosional, dan variabel dependen yang digunakan adalah minat beli. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian causal explanatory.  Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dan analisis yang dilakukan dengan model persamaan struktural. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut konektivitas, interaktivitas, dan kecerdasan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pengalaman fungsional konsumen, serta atribut rasa kehadiran, interaktivitas, dan kenyamanan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pengalaman emosional, sedangkan pengalaman emosional sebagai variabel mediasi berpengaruh positif pada minat beli. Hanya atribut keamanan yang berpengaruh positif terhadap pengalaman fungsional dan emosional konsumen pada aplikasi GPS Navigasi

    The influence of the attributes of “Internet of Things” products on functional and emotional experiences of purchase intention

    Purpose – “Internet of things” is a broad term used to describe network connectivity to physical objects. Called connectable or smart objects, they are embedded in electronic circuits and software that make them capable of detecting, collecting and transmitting data and information. This paper aims to examine the influence of the attributes of “internet of things” products in the functional and emotional experience of purchase intention. Design/methodology/approach – The study used a model adapted from Yaping et al. (2014), with adjustment for the constructs “emotional experience”, “functional experience” and “purchase intention”. The survey consisted of a sample of 747 valid questionnaires regarding users of “internet of things” products, through a structured questionnaire with 36 assertions, which were answered based on the Likert scale. The quantitative research approach followed an exploratory descriptive phase followed by the application of structural equation modeling. Findings – Results validated most of the relationships of the model, with high levels of significance. In addition, there was a greater influence of emotional experience than functional on purchase intention for the selected sample, which mainly consisted of young people. Originality/value – In short, the study confirmed the statistical significance of the structural paths, indicating that the proposed model is consistent, and with an appropriate adjustment can be applied in future research
