Perbandingan Struktur Melodik Intonasi Tuturan Modus Deklaratif Bahasa Jawa antara Penutur di Medan dan Solo

Abstract :The thesis title is Intonation Java Language Speech of Declarative Mode Native in Medan (Comparison with Intonation Java Languages Speech of Declarative Mode Native in Solo). The goal of the study is to measure the meaning and the significan of differences in duration of speech sounds silables declarative mode of the Java language which is spoken by native speakers of Javanese in Medan and Solo. This study uses quantitative method with experimental approach. The determination of the samples in this study are using nonprobability purposive sampling with 40 people as samples. Data processed using praat program to identity of intensity, frequency and duration. Once measured, performed statistical tests which using SPSS (Statistics Package for Social Scientist) apply Independent Sample T-Test to determine whether significant differences in the average indices of the two groups of variables. The analysis showed that the average intonation declarative mode of performative speech spoken by speakers of Medan show any significance difference in the mean duration of speech sounds silabis mode declarative performative spoken by speakers of Solo. Tujuannya adalah mengukur rerata dan signifikansi perbedaan struktur melodik intonasi tuturan modus deklaratif bahasa Jawa yang dituturkan oleh penutur bahasa Jawa di Medan dan Solo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan NonProbability Sampling dengan Purposive Sampling dengan jumlah sampel 40 orang. Data diolah menggunakan program praat untuk mengetahui ukuran durasi. Setelah diukur, dilakukan uji statistik menggunakan program SPSS (Statistics Package for Social Scientist) yang menerapkan Independent Sample TTest untuk mengetahui signifikan tidaknya perbedaan rerata indeks dari dua kelompok variabel. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa rerata struktur melodik intonasi tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Medan menunjukan signifikansi perbedaan dengan rerata struktur melodik intonasi tuturan modus deklaratif performatif yang dituturkan oleh penutur Solo. Re-examining the /eː-εː/ merger in Finland-Swedish:Regional and stylistic variation

This article examines regional and stylistic variation in the merger of front vowels /eː/ and /ɛː/ in Finland-Swedish. The study investigates the merger by comparing formant data from 141 speakers from four Swedish-speaking regions in Finland. Additionally, intraspeaker variation is explored by incorporating samples from three contextual styles. The results indicate cross-regional differences between Finland-Swedish dialects, with a more distinct variant of /ɛː/ being used on the monolingually Swedish-speaking Åland Islands, compared to other regions. However, the findings show that speakers from mainland Finland also demonstrate significantly different formant values for the vowels, particularly in formal speech styles. These results challenge the assumption of a complete /eː-ɛː/ merger in Finland-Swedish, instead pointing to a near-merger, whereby two sounds sound the same to speakers, despite them being differentiated in production. Identifikasi Tuturan Latah: Pendekatan Fonetik Akustik

Latah merupakan salah satu gangguan kefasihan berbicara (fluency disorder). Produksi ujaran latah cukup unik karena ada pengulangan bunyi secara sistematis. Kajian Ujaran latah berdasarkan produksi ujarannya belum pernah dilakukan. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini akan mengidentifikasikan proses produksi ujaran latah menggunakan pendekatan fonetik akustik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimental. Data diukur menggunakan aplikasi praat. Hasilnya, tuturan latah memiliki karakter yang cukup menarik, yaitu memiliki karakter durasi yang semakin cepat dari awal hingga akhir segmen, memiliki struktur nada yang teratur, dan memiliki tanda kenaikan intensitas pada segmen bunyi /e/ di tengah tuturan
