    Esta tese de Mestrado é um Plano de Negócios que visa a implementação de uma aplicação que disponibiliza a contratação de serviços de limpeza. A ideia desta aplicação surgiu após a conclusão do Executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) do INDEG-ISCTE, entre dois alunos, que queriam colocar em prática os ensinamentos de gestão aí aprendidos. O entusiasmo deste estudo nasce do facto de o mesmo ter por objeto um conceito inovador que pretende agilizar a oferta deste tipo de serviços. Como forma de concretizar este estudo foram realizadas análises da envolvente externa, as quais sofreram alterações, devido ao aparecimento da COVID-19 (pandemia que obrigou ao confinamento Mundial das populações). Numa fase seguinte foi realizada uma análise interna observando-se as oportunidades e ameaças do mercado e identificando-se os pontos fortes e fracos desta potencial empresa. Com vista a implementar a melhor estratégia de negócio, para além da análise externa e interna, foi realizado um questionário, aplicado a potenciais consumidores. Finalmente, foi também realizada a avaliação deste projeto que permitiu aferir a viabilidade económica e financeira da aplicação “GoCLEAN”.This Master's thesis is a Business Plan that aims to implement an application that makes cleaning services available. The idea for this application came after the conclusion of the Executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) of INDEG-ISCTE, between two students, who wanted to put into practice the management teachings learned there. The enthusiasm of this study arises from the fact that brings an innovative concept that aims to streamline the offer of this type of services. As a way to carry out this study, analyzes of the external environment were carried out, which underwent changes due to the appearance of COVID-19 (pandemic that forced the worldwide confinement of populations). In the following phase, an internal analysis was carried out, observing the opportunities and threats of the market and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of this potential company. In order to implement the best business strategy, in addition to external and internal analysis, a questionnaire was applied to potential consumers. Finally, the evaluation of this project was also carried out, which made it possible to assess the economic and financial viability of the “GoCLEAN” application

    Coverage & cooperation: Completing complex tasks as quickly as possible using teams of robots

    As the robotics industry grows and robots enter our homes and public spaces, they are increasingly expected to work in cooperation with each other. My thesis focuses on multirobot planning, specifically in the context of coverage robots, such as robotic lawnmowers and vacuum cleaners. Two problems unique to multirobot teams are task allocation and search. I present a task allocation algorithm which balances the workload amongst all robots in the team with the objective of minimizing the overall mission time. I also present a search algorithm which robots can use to find lost teammates. It uses a probabilistic belief of a target robot’s position to create a planning tree and then searches by following the best path in the tree. For robust multirobot coverage, I use both the task allocation and search algorithms. First the coverage region is divided into a set of small coverage tasks which minimize the number of turns the robots will need to take. These tasks are then allocated to individual robots. During the mission, robots replan with nearby robots to rebalance the workload and, once a robot has finished its tasks, it searches for teammates to help them finish their tasks faster
