3G, processor of 2G services, is a family of standards for mobile telecommunications defined by the International Telecommunication Union [1]. 3G services include wide-area wireless voice telephone, video calls, and wireless data, all in a mobile environment. It allows simultaneous use of speech and data services and higher data rates.3G is defined to facilitate growth, increased bandwidth and support more diverse applications. The focus of this study is to examine the factors affecting the adoption of 3G services among Indian people. The study adopts the revised Technology Acceptance Model by adding five antecedents-perceived risks, cost of adoption, perceived service quality, subjective norms, and perceived lack of knowledge. Data have collected from more than 400 school/college/Institution students & employees of various Government/Private sectors using interviews & various convenience sampling procedures and analyzed using MS excel and MATLAB. Result shows that perceived usefulness has the most significant influence on attitude towards using 3G services, which is consistent with prior studies. Of the five antecedents, perceived risk and cost of adoption are found to be significantly influencing attitude towards use. The outcome of this study would be beneficial to private and public telecommunication organizations, various service providers, business community, banking services and people of India. Research findings and suggestions for future research are also discussed.Comment: 8 Page

This study aimed to measuring the third generation mobile services (3G) receive using the Technology Acceptance Model. This study uses data collected through a survey of user mobile services provider of Telkomsel, Indosat and XL in Palembang. Sampling method in this study using Purposive Sampling with a sample of 180 respondents. Data analysis using SPSS for Windows version 20.00 with Linear Regression Analysis method. The independent variables were perceived usefulness, ease of use, perceived enjoyment, attitude of use and the dependent variable is the behavioral intention. The results showed that perceived usefulness, ease of use, perceived enjoyment, attitude of use simultaneously have a significant effect on behavioral intention. Perceived usefulness have significant effect on behavioral intention. Perceived ease of use significantly influence on behavioral intention. Perceived enjoyment have significantly effect on behavioral intention. Attitude have significant effect on behavioral intention. Consideration of the factors identified should lead to more successful adoption of 3G. The study implies that the 3G mobile telecommunication companies need to lift consumers’ intention to adopt 3G mobile services. By using a sample of 106 officers working at the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board, the findings of the study show that users' acceptance of the use of the STAMPS system is influenced by the notion that the STAMPS system is perceived to be useful, perceived easy to use, attitudes, behavioral intentions, actual use and demographic factors such as age, sex, education level, tenure and experience using the system. The findings of the study also show that perceptions of usefulness, perceptions of ease of use, attitudes, behavioral intentions and actual use to have a positive and significant influence on the level of user acceptance of the STAMPS system but not the demographic factors. The regression analysis conducted found that, the factors of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitudes, behavioral intentions and actual use contribute as much as 50 percent to the variation in user acceptance of the STAMPS system. Implications for theory and practice as well as research recommendations for the future are also discussed in this study
