    Exploring Artificial Intelligence using Automated Writing Evaluation for Writing Skills

    This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of AI software which is Automated Writing Evaluation (AWE) in detecting grammatical errors in improving writing skills among Malaysian public university students and examine their perceptions of AI software in improving writing skills. The findings of this study show the positive perceptions of students towards the implementation of AWE. The study provided implications for the effective use of AI software (AWE) in ESL writing classrooms. Finally, future researchers are expected to conduct research on a similar topic to enhance the impact and significance of this study.     Digital Construction of Traditional Baruk in Sarawak, Malaysia

    The traditional Baruk in Sarawak has gone through some architectural changes in terms of its material and function due to the urban modernization and safety concern. Therefore, the research aims to construct the Three-Dimensional (3D) model of the building using digital close-range photogrammetry. The exploratory study can be categorized into four phases consist of Site Selection; Data Acquisition; Data Processing; and 3D Modelling. The 3D model generated from the photogrammetry software presents the result of the dense point clouds. The study could give fundamental guidelines on using a mobile device in digital close-range photogrammetry techniques.     Organisational Agility in Malaysia's IT Business Organisations

    This study examines the perceived level of OA of Malaysia's IT-based business organisations. Quantitative method research has been employed in this research and was conducted throughout Malaysia with a total of 250 valid questionnaires obtained from managers and executives of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status companies. Using the statistical software SPSS version 28.0, the mean, standard deviation, minimum value and maximum value of each indicator were examined. It was discovered that all mean values for indicators were above the mid-point value, indicating the acceptable value from the respondents.     Food Safety and Hygiene Practice among Hotel in Malaysia: Qualitative Approach

    This study examines the effectiveness of food safety and hygiene practice (FSHP) among restaurants in a selected Malaysian hotel and impact of FSHP toward culinary intern. It is essential to examine effectiveness FSHP among the hotel restaurants and its impact on culinary intern towards producing competent food handler. Using qualitative method, five (5) of culinary intern were interviewed. The data were then transcribing and analyzed using Atlas.ti software. Finding of a current study confirming the effectiveness FSHP in a hotel restaurant in Malaysia depends on the type of hotel, star rating, and location.© 2016. The Authors.     Different Stages of Rally Score Distinguish Performance Level in Badminton: A preliminary study

    The study aimed to investigate the use of visual display badminton game rallies to determine the level of sports intelligence. Methods of this study reveal the study participants with video display real game of badminton where some strokes rally divided into several shots. The result showed expert level players led the perceptual-cognitive task among another tested group. This preliminary study could suggest that the 'software' approach in skilled performance has been heading the search for systematic differences in information processing strategies between expert and novice athletes.     Culture Bites : A reality of food truck in Klang Valley. Malaysia

    Cleanliness is an important element towards customer’s satisfaction. This study aims to investigate the relationship between cleanliness attributes (product quality, food premise & food handlers' cleanliness) towards customers hygiene satisfaction. An online survey being conducted among 116 customers in Klang Valley. The data were analysed using SPSS Software version 26. Food premise, food handlers' cleanliness and product quality associated to customers’ hygiene satisfaction. Of all, food product quality was the most significant predictor.     Obstacles to the Automation of Building Performance Simulation: Adaptive Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) design

    Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) is one of the most promising renewable energy technologies. A BIPV system as a second layer of building envelopes is useful not only for the electric power generation but also for blocking solar radiation to reduce cooling load.  This study aimed to explore the limitations of the automated BPS of an adaptive BIPV case study that its development conducted through a collaboration of a BIM software, a BIM-integrated visual programming environment, and a cloud-based energy analysis.     Visualization Process of Temporary Converted Facilities to Accommodate Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) Layouts in Malaysia Agriculture Expo Park Serdang (MAEPS)

    This study aims to develop a reference platform for converting Malaysia Agriculture Expo Park Serdang (MAEPS) to the  Low-Risk COVID-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centre (PKRC) to face the increased numbers Covid-19. This study employed qualitative methodologies and further developed 3D modeling involving AutoCAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray software. The limitation is developing a 3D model visualization of MAEPS on Phase 1 and Phase 2 at Hall A only.     A systematic review of quality attributes and measures for software product lines

    [EN] It is widely accepted that software measures provide an appropriate mechanism for understanding, monitoring, controlling, and predicting the quality of software development projects. In software product lines (SPL), quality is even more important than in a single software product since, owing to systematic reuse, a fault or an inadequate design decision could be propagated to several products in the family. Over the last few years, a great number of quality attributes and measures for assessing the quality of SPL have been reported in literature. However, no studies summarizing the current knowledge about them exist. This paper presents a systematic literature review with the objective of identifying and interpreting all the available studies from 1996 to 2010 that present quality attributes and/or measures for SPL. These attributes and measures have been classified using a set of criteria that includes the life cycle phase in which the measures are applied; the corresponding quality characteristics; their support for specific SPL characteristics (e. g., variability, compositionality); the procedure used to validate the measures, etc. We found 165 measures related to 97 different quality attributes. The results of the review indicated that 92% of the measures evaluate attributes that are related to maintainability. In addition, 67% of the measures are used during the design phase of Domain Engineering, and 56% are applied to evaluate the product line architecture. However, only 25% of them have been empirically validated. In conclusion, the results provide a global vision of the state of the research within this area in order to help researchers in detecting weaknesses, directing research efforts, and identifying new research lines. In particular, there is a need for new measures with which to evaluate both the quality of the artifacts produced during the entire SPL life cycle and other quality characteristics. There is also a need for more validation (both theoretical and empirical) of existing measures.     Sale and Leaseback Investment Concepts in Malaysian REIT Companies

    Sale and leaseback investment has been a growing trend among the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Companies in Malaysia. This study is to determine the important elements in the concepts of the sale and leaseback transactions practiced by the REIT companies. The study uses the NVIVO software to analyze the data interviews with the REIT managers that adopt sale and leaseback investment transactions. With a response rate of 78%, results show there are three main elements namely location, type of lease, and rental.  This study forms a useful guide to real estate managers in developing countries towards using the sale and leaseback as one of the alternative methods in property investment.Keywords: sale and leaseback; property investment; REITeISSN: 2398-4287 © 2019.
